:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Those are gret pics! My family is actually looking pretty normal here. Thats scary!:rolleyes1

Enjoy your day out, Betsy! Hope your hand is OK.

Annie, hows the toe/foot issue going?

I have to share my good news. Not only did I hit the 10 lb mark today, but I made it to 10.5 lost! :cool1: Of course it only took 6 months, and my original goal was 16, but at times I didnt even think I'd make it to 10, so this is a minor accomplishment (Betsy, stop laughing at me. ;) ). Lets all have a stick of celery to celebrate! :scared:

Mornin' Peeps...

I hope eveyone had a great 4th of July.

Katie: congrats :thumbsup2 at this point I'd take even the smallest loss of poundage:rotfl2:

Today we are counting our "Disney Jar".....it's a 5 gallon water bottle that we've been putting $ into for the vacation. Should be interesting to see how much we've stashed away ;)

Bets: hope you enjoy your time alone :goodvibes

I guess it's time we should post our actual pics as well, since the truth will be revealed in about 2 weeks anyway...

You guys are such a hoot!!

On July 3, I had DS10's Weblo II troup over to decorate a 10' open trailer for the neighborhood 4th of July Parade. Lot of the parents had never seen our renovated home. I served turkey sandwiches and others brought chips or drinks. I had baked a SaraLee 10# Turkey breast with Hoison sauce and chicken broth. It was very moist.

After the party (midnight), I had so many grass clippings in the house that I stayed up vacuuming all the rooms but the 3 BR. I started sewing DS6's Uncle Sam's pants at 1:30am and finished in one hour. I was really tired and messed up on the measurement. I wanted it to fit DS10 for his pirate's pants but he can't put 1 leg through. DS10 is all muscles while DS6 is all bones.

It is so hard to find red/white stripe fabric here. It was all gone for the local neighborhood parade. I was passing by a far away Walmart and decided to just see if they had the right fabric. They did, but I am not going 30 miles back that way to get more fabric. I will have to be innovative to redo the red/white pants or just make new ones with different colors.

On July 4th, we did our neighborhood parade. The scouts lead the parade. Our friend who had to pull the trailer was late again. My friends warned me to use Mexican time with him. (He is Mexican) We ended up being 4th in line. It did not matter with our boys. They ripsticked along side the float. Those who did not have a ripstick, was in the float with Uncle Sam. At least they were able to throw candy.

After the parade festivities, we had to come back to our house and remove the decorations. Some of us went to watch Get Smart with Carrel & Hathaway. IT was SOOO FUNNY!!

I basically crashed afterwords.

Today is shopping day for me!!! I am buying clothes for me to where on the cruise. BTW, I am wearing 2 piece swimsuits!!!! They are tankini's with boy's board shorts. I am hiding stretchmarks and my belly pooch. The tanks are padded so that my ****s stick out further than my belly pooch.

I have to do serious packing in suitcases now. Everybody saw all our vacation clothes on my formal dining room table. Good thing I had decided on what swimwear I was going to bring. They were on top and hiding my underpanties:laundy:

RJ - I am diggin' that new tattoo - but I would've thought you would've gotten one of Mickey & Minnie!:rotfl2:

Beano...the Bud Man!:thumbsup2 :lmao: I'm tellin' ya...Bud = stinky farts!:rotfl:

We just went to the neighbors yesterday for a cookout. Of course it was raining so we were all inside. Another neighbor had made a drive over to VA yesterday to buy some fireworks (they're illegal in MD) 'cuz nobody felt like schlepping out to see them in the rain. So we had our own pyro show in their backyard. They have the same model / floorplan as us...I always get a complex when I go to the neighbors 'cuz I have become such a poor housekeeper now that I live on the DIS so much. :goodvibes I need to get my rear in gear & plow a path thru here before vacation. I just have to. I got an email from one of my Aunts today. She wants to plan a trip down to visit with my other Aunt & my parents in mid-August for an over night visit. Hummm...that should be enough motivation to clean 'eh?!:rotfl: 2 Aunts & a Mother!?

So I did my online check-in thing today. Katie - nobody answered you the other day about your destination after the first cruise...so I called them when I got to that point...they said to just put our home address in and that it would get sorted out at the port when we check in. I see you did not give us charging privileges on your account when you checked in!:lmao: We decided to give DS some charging privileges this time. We will give him a small daily limit tho and tell him he has to bring all of his receipts to us. I don't expect him to order more than a smoothie here & there tho.

May - I heard Get Smart is pretty funny. We never go to the movies tho so I will have to hope it comes to HBO one day. You wear me out with all of your sewing and activities!

Betsy - hope your hand is OK...I am still keeping an eye out on Bertha...I don't trust her!

LOL, Annie! I tried but DH wouldnt go for it.

Those pictures are great! :lmao:

Sounds like a fun day, May!

We hit Target today. I actually wasnt going for clothes but ended up finding shorts and a shirt. Also, bought some more of those things I thought I had extras of but still needed to buy...gel, brush, hairdryer, clean shoes for Colt, socks for the boys, etc... We are really getting down the the end here. I cant believe it!

Our radio news from LA reports that "the earliest recorded tropical storm on record is predicted to hit between Puerto Rico and [Bermuda, I think?] by Wed or Thurs." So, when do we start really worrying about storms that could effect us?

I don't know what happened to my earlier post.

Happy Birthday LeeAnn & Steve!!

I am not deathly allergic to chocolate!! It gives me headaches and the shakes. It also make my tummy poochie bigger. So I just watch myself. I love white chocolate!!:cloud9:

I came back from shopping at Steinmart. I am sooo disappointed. They had a decent sale but no summer stuff left. It is all Fall colors now. I must have tried on 50 clothes but only bought 1 dress, 1 khaki skirt, 1 black capri, and 2 khaki capris. There were other bargain priced clothes but they were too big, too tight, or I could not 'fill' in the top. I have to alter all the clothes but the black capri pants. I'm going to Kohls to see if they have a cheaper black capri pants. It fits great but I'm having convulsions because I paid $25 for it. I'm going to my Target to check on some boys kahki size 16 cargo pants. I saw some on clearance for 9.98 at a different Target but not my size. I'll alter the length to capri and return the ones I bought at Steinmart.

When is this fashion for hipsters, low riders going away??? At size 2, I can't button it over my belly poochie. At size 4, I have no hips. It falls down. At size 6, I can stuff everything and have it rest on my my normal waistline but I'm giving myself a wedgie. I can't walk or sit like that!!! I HATE shopping for girl clothes!!

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: THAT was a pretty funny visual you gave there!! I can usually find pants at Kohls if I look hard enough. I ain't no size 2 or 4 tho!:) MY problem is lo-o-ng legs! Everything is always too short...so I love summer capris 'cuz it doesn't matter where they hit! I also wonder about the hip hugger style...I couldn't wear it in the 70's and I sure as heck can't wear it NOW!

I just finished watching the "tropical update" on the Weather Channel. Basically, Bertha is the first storm to become a T.S. this early in the season this far east in the Atlantic. She will not be a threat to any land until next weekend. Her probability directional cone does cover the S.E. US and Bermuda now - her path depends on how fast she strengthens. IF she strenghtens fast they think she will steer north and not impact any land. If she takes her time, she will keep meandering west toward say Cuba. It will be several days yet before they know what she's going to do. Meanwhile, another wave just came off the coast of Africa behind her but it's not as organized yet so it's just being called a tropical wave at this point. I think these waves / storms typically take 10 days - 2 weeks to cross the ocean. That means we need to watch anything that comes off the coast over the next week or so.

PLEASE!!
we have tropical waves all the time! this is far too early in the season for them to come this way...now late August/Sept..I would be pooping

Yeah, I'm not too worried yet. However, I did have Hurricane Erin in Florida on our honeymoon and that was August 1st, so I will watch when we get a bit closer.

As for ladie's sizes, I have decieded they make no sense. I just bought size 2 shorts today and they fit good. However if I tried a size 7 in something in Juniors it would be way too small. I bought something once it made me laugh. My top is way smaller than my bottom (lucky me:rolleyes: ) and when I bought the matching set I had to get a large top and small bottom. Sizes are stoopid! :headache:

So May, you can eat white chocolate, or do you just like it and stay away? As long as I know you won't be on your way to the hospital if you come in contact with chocolate, thats good.

We are having fun here....our kitchen is being invaded by leetle tiny ants. ARGH! This has never happened in the 9 years we have lived here. We just ripped everything out of our cabinets and tossed a lot of the open stuff (cereals, etc...). The house smells of Raid (yuk!) but I'm hoping this clears them up. Its nasty!

ANTS! We get a lot of them when it's been really rainy 'cuz they like our paver patio with the sand inbetween the pavers. I think they come out of the ground 'cuz they're drowning!:rotfl: Anyway, if the Raid doesn't work there is this Combat gel stuff that comes in this dispenser - like a big plunger. It works great! I call it "Ant Crack"!:lmao: You put out a little dab near where they are and they will attack it and climb all over it like it's candy - guarantee you that it will kill 'em!:thumbsup2 You can probably find it at Target or Home Depot.

My toe is doing better as long as I don't try to get on my tippy toes to try to reach something in the cabinet / closet. The swelling is down but bending them really hard sends a sharp pain thru my foot.:headache: NOW my big problem is my right wrist. It's been acting up for a couple of weeks...not sure if it's carpal tunnel or arthritis or a combo. I have been wearing one of those wrist guard thingy's on & off for a couple of weeks. It's been very painful to do anything that involves using my thumb (which is like EVERYTHING)!:)

OK, now I have to go turn the house upside to try to find these medical forms I need for DS's camp this week. The county sent me forms for this weeks camp and the one he's doing the week after vacation and I cannot find them anywhere!:scared1: I have to bring them tomorrow or they won't let him in.:headache: I have been looking for 2 days and can't imagine where I've put them.

I know that it might seem like a fun thing to do...talking about tropical waves, tropical storms and hurricanes. But you all really should cut it out. The last thing that Betsy's Mom, Betsy (and family), and Ophie and I need is a jinx to make a storm come here. Let's just keep in mind that there won't be a storm anytime soon.

I can tell you that full rainy season is in full effect in Florida. It is pretty much raining everyday now. So, if you are going to the parks before the cruise, be sure to bring some shoes that will dry.

Of course nobody wants a TS or anything to head to FL or anywhere in the US....I just watched the tropical update again. Bertha appears to be strengthening...will probably become a hurricane soon but that is a good thing this time & it means she will probably steer more north than west! Yay for everybody!:goodvibes :yay:

I thought it looked like FL was finally getting caught up on the rain gauge. We will likely wear crocs or sandals if it's rainy. My skinny feet hold up better with the support from tennis shoes but they're no good if they're soaking wet!!

I'm a size 6 for most of the brands at Kohls. If I get a size 4, its a dress because of the top and I have to suck in my tummy. Steinamrt has a lot of those boutiquie brands.

I LOVE chocolate. I will talk more later. I am off to shop....

so what kind of shoes are best??? the last two years we've come to WDW we have only had one storm (that closed Blizzard, remember?) and then one "bad" one that came after we were back at the Poly. So, tell me, what shoes am I packin?
