DIS-Functional Wonder Peeps 7/20 & 7/24, 2008 PART II

Morning ya'll... Took DS to his first 7:30 AM swim practice. Got him up at 6:20 so he could eat a light breakfast first and not be too full to swim. Get there right on time...and NO POWER in the neigborhood! Since the pumps weren't running they couldn't get in the pool. So they ran around & played ball on the soccer field next door for like 1 hr and 15 min. THEN the power finally came back on...so they only got to actually swim for 15 minutes. Felt like such a waste. And I had no book or magazine or anything. VERY long morning already!

Thinking about going out to wash my truck before it gets too hot. It's disgusting. Have boycotted the carwash since I've been laid off. It's pretty nasty looking.

May - I am only bringing FE gifts for our peeps / cabins according to Soccermom's spreadsheet / schedule...

Tonight is Mommy's nite out. About 8 or 9 of us are meeting around 4:30ish at one neighbors house for happy hour. Then we're going out to see S__x and the City. And I'm sure more cocktails to follow that.

DD has riding lessons at 10 so we are up and playing online. Leetle Pirate is awake in there - sounds like she is throwing her animals out of the crib. Working on specializing baskets for the girls with Shirley. I decided I really did not want to pack that stuff. We shall see.

Gotta call the MIL today. RJ may be in Fresno for some business will let you know. Maybe we can meet for dinner?? Or shopping!

OK gotta get rolling around here today.

Since we have moved into this newly renovated house of ours, we've had 3 computers died. Actually 1 died (2001 celeron) because I purposely decided it was too slow to work with and I sold the CRT monitor. One died after only 2.5 years due to a virus that corupted the mother board. Now my 2003 laptop's HD died. I tried replacing the HD last night but it had a different connector. So I have to shop again but this time I am bringing the bad HD.

There is 5 of us with only 2 working computers. I'm not able to get enough computer time at home!! I have been busy at work. I am trying to get July and August work done so I can be off work after July 4 and return when school starts for the 2 little boys.

Well, we forcefully persuaded DS17 to accept the RPI (Rennsalear PolyTechnic Institute) scholarship. He has not officially turned down CalPoly yet until we hear from RPI saying that he is officially regestered. There are soooo many forms to complete and sign. It's almost like a mortgage closing but I am signing over my 1st born away. DS17 is hoping that his application for a specific CalPoly scholarship will pull through.

Are you guys only giving FE gifts to the PEEPS? Do you plan to give to the non-PEEPS who have put up an FE holder? I'm not really giving personal FE gifts. My gifts will be random unless I have one that is more appropriate for boys and girls.

Glad things are starting to fall into place with your son.

And, no my family won't be bringing anything for the un-Peepified. I'm schlepping enough stuff as it is. My stuff isn't specific either. The kids won't get what I bring - it's mostly "remembories" - and strangers really wouldn't get it.

there are 2 types of Peeps: bony-fidey Peeps (ungrown up over 21 types) and Peeplettes (under 21 who are sometimes more mature than the afore menioned group). Please to see spreadsheet to check your individual category. The only person allowed to move between the two groups is Bob 'cuz, well, he's Bob.

I LIKE these new words! (un-Peepified" and "remembories")!! My FE stuff is "Anniefied" (which however does not mean that I am bringing wee bottles of Capt. Morgan!) Speaking of schleping enough stuff. I tried to weigh my FE gifts. I think they are about 1/2 Lb each in total x 11 = 5.5 Lbs that's gotta fit in one of our pp duffle bags that weighs under 50 Lbs! (OR they go into a carry-on and DH will be like "What is this stuff again and why are we bringing it...and it's for WHO? The Peeps?")

Yep, FE gifts just for da peeps! I'm doing them individually, but everyone gets the same.

Just wanted to let everyone know Linda is feeling better. We are actually getting ready to leave for her college graduation ceremonies this weekend in Saratoga Springs,NY we are staying at my parents place so, we wont have any internet access till we get home on Sunday. So I hope everyone has a Great and Magical weekend

#2 - I'm going to be shipping a box to the BCV, I'll just take that along and check it with the porter at the port.

Yes, very sad about Tim Russert...a real shocker wasn't it? He was always on our local news a lot too being in DC & all.

One more hot 90 something day with storms possible later when a cold front comes thru...then it will cool off for several days.

So, went out with the Moms last night. The S_x in the City movie was fun. So funny to see an entire theater full of 30-40 something yr old Moms. I think most were in big groups like ours. I only saw 3 guys leaving afterward. Went to the closest bar afterward and had a couple of Cosmos in honor of the movie. Betsy - I can't wait to experiment with a few other varieties with the Martini Master that you've become!

My FE stuff is just more of a per cabin thing. Not geared either toward kids or adults (sorry, no crayons, no wine...no Captain). It's just stuff. Really all the same things, but sorta slightly customized (can't say any more than that - you will see what I mean in about 36 days)!!

What other people on the boat? I think we're the only ones on the boat this time, right guys?! There were still lots of openings the last time I looked anyway. And nobody else joined our thread so they don't count do they?! I keep forgetting which boat belongs to who. Does the Wonder belong to Cheri or Beano?! The Wonder is Cheri's and The Magic is Beano's, right?! Or do I have that backwards?!

OK, update.....It's killin' me....#6634 is still open on both cruises. How can it be that nobody has snagged that room yet?!
