Double Dip Navigator:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1847194

:headache:  Grrrr....This is pissing me off. I keep calling DCL and asking about this freaking ashore time for Nassau. It was originally 8:30. So we booked that freaking Dolphin Swim for 10:30 based on that time. Then a few weeks ago when they changed the onboard time from 7 to 5:00 they also apparently changed the ashore time to 9:30. I was seeing conflicting info. on the DCL website so I called & asked about it back in May and they supposedly researched it and some girl called me back and left a message saying no, it's still 8:30. Well, not according to this Navigator. So I called again and left a voice mail for Bridget (the one who left the msg. saying 8:30). GRRRRRRRRRR. I think ashore at 9:30 cuts making the 10:30 close. We have to take a taxi to the Ferry terminal or something and then catch a ferry to this Blue Lagoon place. I am so frustrated with DCL right now. I know a lot of ppl don't give a rats behind about Nassau but we're getting jipped (gipped?) out of 3 hours now.:rolleyes1 And this is one expensive excursion to miss.:worried: :( :furious:

Annie haven't checked so maybe you already did...but maybe post a thread on the general cruise board and see what time ppl did their excursions. I know alot of ppl seem to do the dolphin encounters so maybe they could help you out with this.

I am having the same issue since the snorkel/cruise thing we want to do through a non-DCL company leaves at 9:30 - so if, in fact, that is when we can disembark in Nassau this is a no go for the McDougald clan.

GOOD NEWS!!!

We just got off a B2B in May and had to change rooms. Luckily the two rooms were covered by the same hostess so she said she would move our luggage instead of what Guest services proposed in their letter the previous day (call GS on move-out morning and they will pick up our luggage and store it for us for the next cruise). The next morning our hostess said our new room was already empty so instead of having her move our luggage we just moved it ourselves.

Disney has the B2B process down. We met at the excursion desk at 0930, a CM led us through customs and check-in to get our new KTTW cards and we were back on the empty ship by about 1000. During this time you have access to pretty much the whole ship. It was amazing to see the crew ready the ship for the next cruise, it was also interesting to watch all the emergency drilss that you would not normally get to see. Our hostess said she would have our new room ready by 1030 so we could return at that time if we wanted to. We just sat in the lobby and talked with the other family doing a B2B.

:sad2: Well, Bridget at DCL's shift started at 2:00 and she called me right after she came on. She said in HER system it shows the ship should get to Nassau to dock around 7:30 - of course that's subject to various conditions. Her system still shows ashore time at 8:30 however the Port Authority could slow things up for any number of reasons so that it might not be until 9:30. She does not know why they are putting 9:30 on the Navigators. So a 9:30 excursion might not cut it. She said DCL is still doing the 10:30 dolphin encounter - the "meet time" is at 9:20. So we'd probably all be riding the same ferry to the Blue Lagoon place (apparently the ferry leaves at 10:30)...so she thinks we'll be fine. I emailed the Dolphin people but they haven't answered me back yet.

YOU on the other hand  I don't think I'd book a 9:30 excursion NOT thru DCL.... This sucks! Do they offer this one that you want in the afternoon? And if so, would it be back before 5:00?

Happy Graduation Bob :D

Okay, not to be a stick in the mud, but this week has SUCKED royally for me.

I have what they think is a bulging disc in my back pinching a nerve and causing SEVERE debilitating pain. Then I have a spider bite that was more of a puncture wound so they gave me a tetnus shot (which I have not had in quite a few years.) Then I had to have antibiotic for the spider thing (as the wound area is swollen and sore) AND steriods to try to shrink the disc, AND narcs for pain for my back...then to top it off, my blood pressure has been high for over three months now (gee I wonder why) so now I have to start BP meds! GOOD GRIEF!!! I have a medicine chest here that I'm taking all at once.

Then I wake up this morning with laryngitis--my voice is almost completely gone buh buy! Makes it tough to work when you are drugged up and cannot talk on the phone. Sheesh!! Can this week just be over and done with quickly? PLEASE!!!?? I'm starting to feel like a druggie!

Annie, sorry to hear you are having a tough time with the excursion. Even if all ashore is 9:30 a.m. you should be fine making it to a 10:30 dolphin encounter. It's not that far to get there and you should be fine. Just be prepared to get off the ship right when they clear it.

RJ and Beano--we want to see pictures of graduation!

I did manage to find a dress for the wedding ;) Steve approved so it's a go. Got an awesome deal on it at Macy's (right after hitting the doctor's office--I'm thinking he felt sorry for me getting the tetnus shot!!)

See you all SOON!!!

Sue Ellen - So sorry to hear about all your ailments! What is up with all the sick peeps?!

RJ - hopin' to see pics in the am!

Going on DS's 5th grade picnic tomorrow...funny how he's been in school for 5 years and I never went on any of his trips until NOW that I am laid off!!

The swimming pool was much warmer this evening. He actually stayed in & finished the whole practice! Thank GOODNESS! Tomorrow's picnin is at a pool / park in Gaithersburg...he will be swum out (is that a word) by the end of practice tomorrow night!:) They had fittings tonight for their little team jammer suits!:rotfl: He went in to try it on and didn't want to come out! He was like MAAAWWMMMMM!!! NOOOO!!!! It's too tight!!! :lmao: Oh boy! Anyway, so we ordered the team one and then tomorrow after the picnic I am taking him to this store to buy him one for practice. The store is near where the picnic is so I may as well try to save gas & kill 2 birds with one stone. I am hoping if he picks one out for practices he will like it better. :confused3 I don't know. They ARE pretty uncomfortable looking. But the guy was like the tighter it is the faster he'll swim.:rotfl2: We shall see about THAT one!

OK, DH went up...catch ya'll tomorrow sometime.

Yes indeed, the boy done it! :thumbsup2

SueEllen,

Here some :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for you, hope you get better quickly, so you are well rested for the cruise and P.J. dancing in Wavebands....

Hey all...Beano - DUDE!! That is a serious tripod! LOL! Love the pics!! Glad the little pirates made it for you...what a celebration!!

OK, so am finally home from DS's 5th grade pool party / picnic - with JUST ENOUGH time to grab a quick Capt. before heading back out to swim practice!:rotfl: Do I REALLY want this kid to swim?! Actually, since I drove, I was able to take him straight from the pool rather than him having to go back to the school...so we went from the party to the swimwear store & got him a couple of practice suits. I swear these things make him look like he's about as big around as my thigh!! (And I'm on the skinny side myself) :rotfl2: ANYWAY, the Mom of one of the girls on the team was telling how LONG these time trials and meets can be!:scared1: She said there's a Tshirt out there that says something like "If I have to die tomorrow let it be on a swim meet day because they are the LONGEST days"!:lmao: Oh Boy! Sounds like we're in for a long hot morning tomorrow... Gettin' some of that FL weather! They have issued a "heat advisory" for a heat index of 105-110 tomorrow! :rolleyes1 Yeah! I was the one praying for it to warm up! :rotfl2:

TZM posting from AKV:

Bob looks like he had armor on. All that stuff hanging on him. Was that kevlar that you were wearing? Looks like it was a great evening.

Actually Bobby you looked great. Congrats again!!! All growed up and ready for more "dance" clubs and glitter with uncle bubba.

Have a great day all!!!
