We are still alive.

Sean and Linda, I'm sorry for Linda's medical problem. My next rosary prayer will be for her. Have you tested her for Gluten allergy? Have you read "The Yeast Connection" by Dr. Crook? Have you gone to a hollistic doctor? I had IBS all my schooling and early adult life until I changed my diet. I am not allergic to gluten but I have taken better care of my diet. I don't take ulcer pills or antacids anymore. I learned about drinking aloe vero juice with apple juice and poof my IBS was practically gone.

Last year, my friend's husband was always sick. He was a vegetarian for 6 years but was still constantly sick. I never knew it because he never talked about it. He was scheduled to have surgery. Then I told him about gluten but he had just seen a doctor about it and that was the reason for his intestines ailment. So the surgery was cancelled.

I thought we were having such a rough time at home. We are still arguing about where DS17 should go to college. It's tearing us apart and ruining any family outings.
I missed this. I remember something about scholarships, your in-laws and two different schools. Sorry, my brain doesn't function well in the rememberory* department sometimes

I hate to hear about your family gatherings being ruined by this stress. You have so little time left with him. In any event, I hope things get settled soon.

my parents TOLD me where I was going to go to school. I hated it! Oh, yeah, big name university. Make good contacts. Better possibilities for a job afterward. Blah blah blah. Today, my mother will tell you she should have just let me go where I wanted. I would have had a more positive experience and enjoyed myself. I wouldn't have taken so long. I might have had to pay for some of it myself with loans (because my dad was stubborn and would refuse to pay), but that decision would have been on me. Time to grow up and pay for my choices - that kind of thing.

Of course, if I didn't go to BigNameU, I wouldnt' have had the room mate that introduced me to my first boss that introduced me to husband who had someting to do with my 2 babykins**
:lovestruc but that is a totally different story.

*rememberory is a Cherism :3dglasses

There is a driveway / alley behind us and this particular trampoline that landed on the left came from the yard on the right side...

Winds were clocked at 64 mph during the storm at the weather station about a mile down the road from us. Stop lights out...roads are closed all over with trees down....we're inbetween storms now but still under a tornado watch so trying to find out if swimming is still on or cancelled...they say they swim in the rain but not during storms (obviously). But so don't know what the deal is for the 6:00 practice...

Annie - stay safe. I 'member those storms.:scared1: Wicked scary. And...um...duh...SKIP SWIMMING!!::yes::

Bets - whatcha get!!??

Cheri - didja hear?? Some party of 2 - Gennerdo or something like that - is hornin' in on our 10 am shuttle to the ship!! the nerve of some people!!:furious: How may can they cram into that shuttle anyways??:cool2:

:dance3: It's gonna be fun!!:dance3:

OK, swimming WAS cancelled...I finally found an inclement weather ph # to call for the County Rec Dept. The 2nd batch of storms was more south of us - we were just on the northern tippy top edge (whew!) But they have extended the tornado watch until 1:00 am. I need to get one of those NOAA weather radios. Gertrude - your brother was getting it twice tonight tho! Sue Ellen - looks like you could get some stuff during the night too...stay safe! It is supposed to be 88 tomorrow then 90's for like the next 5 days!:woohoo: YIPEE!!! Summer finally cometh!! THAT is what DS's pool water needs!! And it should stay warm during the night too which will help. Time trials are Sat. AM at like 7:30-8:00! Tomorrow evening they do the fittings for their suits.

Yeah, Betsy, what ya got? I leave Fri. morning for SC for granddaughter's wedding. :cloud9: Got e-mail from mother of the bride today and she is pulling her hair out trying to get everything done,:faint: get youngest ready for camp next week (she will be back a week before wedding) I have already been warned I will have plenty to keep me busy while I am there, which is fine for me. When I get home, it will only be 3 weeks until B2B

Hi All! Thank you all so much for the :wizard:, caring thoughts and advice. We really appreciate it. :grouphug:

We finally got some sense of where we are heading, at least for 1 week. Today we had the endoscopy and the MD said that the pancreas and liver are good, but the colon is extremely sensitive, so not only does Linda have the Chron's (IBD - inflammatory bowel disease), but also IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). Double-whammy to the colon! MD said that the colon can't handle the spasms to the colon, that is why there is the severe pain. He gave new medicine, an anti-spasmatic to slow down the colon, so he said to try it for a week (while he's on vacation). At least she had a great nap, the anesthesiologist was a heavy pourer on the sleepy time cocktail! Maybe now she will be able to give up the pretzels!

Again, thank you all for everything! Much  to all!

Can someone tell me the name of the lady who delivers the gift basket to the cruise ship and her website, because i am drawing a blank right now. Thank You
