Reminds me of a famous quote of yours:

"What the world needs now, is big donations and bald Timmy."

Or something like that. ;)

TZM:

We are in too! Although Neil says he needs to review the Cruise DVD as he remembers you not having too much hair before and perhaps $15 should cover it.:lmao: ;)

But we definitely want a picture too!!:woohoo:

Great cause. My stepdad started chemo today for lymphoma.:guilty:

So sorry to hear about your stepdad. Hopefully he responds well to the chemo. :wizard:

A picture is definitely coming your way (after the event of course).

Prayers and pixie dust on the way to him, Johnna! :grouphug:

So, I just saw what Sue Ellen was talking about earlier. OMG, people are crazy! Yeah sure CC is Paradise, and I'd be bummed if we missed the port, but come on, people!

This was supposed to be the week to get new Peeps Page up. But then it turns out it is conference week and the school is making us take our kids home at 12:30 EVERY DAY! Can you believe that? It's bad enough that they won't keep 'em on the weekends, but now they want us to pay attention to the little buggers all afternoon, too?:lmao: (Yesterday afternoon I got to teach long division. :confused3 ) So, Peeps Page is going to have to wait until this weekend.

Yesterday was also the day to figure out classes for next year at the high school. Yanno - we just had PE. Then in junior and senior year you could take dance. T had to rank order 3 from: tennis, weight lifting, dance, adv dance, aerobics, co-ed soccer, skate, surfing, basketball, track, softball, wrestling, or regular PE. I'm thinkin' these kids go to school at a country club. Kinda makes me want to do the high school thing again - but then again......no.

Happy Tuesday all!

BAH!!

Johnna!! I keep forgetting to tell you THANK YOU for the pin backs!!! I thought of you this morning at 5am!! LOL..so at 2am, did you feel all warm and fuzzy??
LOL

Like that pic RJ - is that one from your own collection?

The job hunting is S-L-O-W going! I sit here all day pouring thru websites (and tracking every website I visit and what day so I know when to go back). The search agent I set up on Monster is frustrating 'cuz even tho I specifically said to limit the search to 10 miles it keeps popping up stuff in Bethesda & Silver Spring - both of which are over 20 miles. So there's a lot of weeding out to do. The frustrating thing is how technology has made it all so tedious. Nobody will just let you email (attach) your resume & coverletter. Seems most places want you to "build your profile" then upload your resume and cover. Well, that takes a lot of time. Then once you upload your resume in most cases it's lost it's formatting.:headache: Then you finally get it all set as best you can and you hit submit and you get some freaking ERROR with the submission process and have to start again. Then there are the really large companies that have hundreds of locations and thousands of jobs and you have to do these advanced searches to narrow it down to only what's local. It's a pain in the butt. Meanwhile, I am not a scientist or a research analyst and the just plain old ADMINISTRATIVE jobs are few & far between.:rolleyes1 My goal is to find 2-3 jobs to submit to every day.

 Sue Ellen - did you get my email the other day saying that Katie and I wanted to be included in the group dinner seatings too?

House is starting to smell a little bit like dinner. Yumm. Pot roast was on sale for $2.99 / Lb. this week! :woohoo: Put that bad boy in the crockpot this morning the old fashioned way (seasonings, sliced onion, baby carrots, celery, potatos, broth). I figured the last few times I had done the Lipton Onion Soup mix with the mushroom soup thing so I'd go back to the basic way Mom used to do it for a change. I have been keeping the TV on in the background...I keep seeing all these yummy recipes on the TODAY show & iVillage & Ellen...makes me hungry!:scared:

Hey Cheri, surfing???? I love California! :thumbsup2 Maybe we should offer snow shoveling 101. ;)

I thought the half day tomorrow was bad...glad its not the whole week.

Yeah, San Diego is pretty cool. And, nope, no snow shoveling for me. We spent almost two years in Oregon. Driving on those slightly icy roads was enough for a lifetime. I don't know how those people in places like Ohio (with feet of snow at a time) deal with it every year.

It's 70 degrees and 10:22am  San Diego rocks says Queen Permie!

LOL

So that's what woke me up!!  You are welcome. Hope they worked I know they were not exactly what you were looking for but thought they might work on Rick's uniforms. BTW how is his hand?

I knew we were cousins!! I bought a roast too!! And it's in my crockpot!! AND my house smells yummy. Au Jus packet, an onion, a little water and VIOLA shredded beef for tacos!!:woohoo:

Enjoy your dinner!!

And I hear you on the technology ruining the job search. Neil has had a really hard time getting through the front door of a lot of places. I think the HR peeps do not speak "engineer". Key words are important I hear. ?? Hang in there though. You will find something great.!

I love this weather!!:woohoo: We took windsurfing in college right there on Mission Bay! I love San Diego.

OK, so tell me more about the shredded roast for taco thing! What Au Jus packet? Is this a dry mix that you make? Onion...water...OK, so it cooks all day & it falls apart at the end of the day so the shredding thing is easy...but then do you use taco seasoning or something? Yes? No?:confused3 (HEY SE - I'm thinkin' homemade GOAT here!!:rotfl: )

Oh, and :lmao: on the keyword thing! I got one. Administrative!:rotfl2:

I can't wait for the 70's!! It's 50's here this week and THAT is great! I saw a bluebird this morning! First one of the season. They always come in early March so I went out & cleaned out my birdhouses. Darn sparrows cram so much stuff in them... I have 3 bluebird birdhouses and everytime I get a little bluebird couple to move in the darn sparrows take over.:headache:

Ok, your dinners sound better than mine. I had a WW Smart One, pineapple terryaki (new flavor!). For the men I'm making hot dogs and potatoe puffs. gotta run out tonight to a 5th grade celebration meeting. I just want this kid to graduate! Thats enough celebration for me at this point.

I don'tknow how we do it either, Cheri. Luckily at this time, most of our snow is gone and we are looking are bare ground. Hopefully that lasts now.

OK - 1 pkg dry au jus in a crockpot with about 1/4 cup of water. Quarter an onion. Toss that in. Sprinkle roast with au jus mix and put the lid on. On high until it shreds with a fork then turn it down. I put it in about 10 am and turned in down about 3:30 we will eat later-ish. Should shred up with a fork pretty darned easy!!:woohoo:

No no extra taco seasoning. Salsa!!

I like the keyword.:thumbsup2

I have to recommend recruiters. They are an invaluable asset especially if you live near a city that you can work in.
