Ooh, Annie. Where did you get that beach scene????? Must acquire. Good job. I like the "white" family for the White's.

Does anyone else see a beach scene or is this a Cheri only hallucination??

Feeling really tired right now. Cough will not cease. Not feeling well at all. Wonder if I can get Linden to go to bed right now??

SueEllen - :thumbsup2 Keep one foot on the floor. The spinning will stop when you go to sleep.

Trying to convince Neil we should just stay on the ship for the 3 day....SueEllen how do I find out if stateroom 7010 is available??

RIGHT ON!!! TOP O THE PAGE AGAIN!!!

But not feeling like celebrating and going on a Johnna rant.

hmmm...I must be sick.

:lmao: I see you found it over on that other thread... I put it over there 'cuz Zandy gave me the link for the family and said she wanted to see what I did with them... I have those window decals on the back window of my truck so I HAD to use them on a sign!! I honestly don't know where I found that beach scene...I was just going thru clip art & pictures one nite saving anything & everything into a folder in case it would come in handy for these signs! There was actually a real family running on the beach - so we pasted the mom, dad & son over top of them - that's why there's a shadow...then we added the cats and created shadows for them & put ears on the little boys shadow!:rotfl:

Are you saying you like the "white" lettering or are you saying that you would say "The White Family Cruises"?!?!?!? It's a little fuzzy when it's BIG but what can you do when you take a little pic & enlarge it like that?! But you think I done OK for my first try?!

doors! :lmao: geez I crack myself up!

Okay, Steve took me out tonight and I've had a whole bottle of wine to myself. I was advised not to go online, but you know me ;)

Cheri--$100 a person for a PTO event!?!?! :scared1: OMG! We would not have had even one family attend at that rate ;)
As the treasurer (and future president) that is a WOW factor in my book if you are getting that kind of money.

So, how many weeks are we away from our cruise? I want to be there NOW!!!
It's COLD tonight here. I could use some more warm weather.
SE

:lmao: I'm sure if I'd had a whole bottle of wine to myself I would've been "advised" to go to bed by those near & dear to me! :rotfl: I like that you have an advisor!:rotfl2:

I agree - $100 pp for WHAT?! Sounds like a real Hollywood kind of event! I am sorta over supporting the elem. school now that we're graduating & moving on to middle school. I just want to support them already, ya know? I have heard that DS's middle school PTA takes a mandatory $25 "donation" at the beginning of each year from every kid / family. This eleminates all of these fundraisers & crap. They don't have to peddle stuff all year long! They know how much they're working with & they get it up front! I am ALL FOR THAT!:thumbsup2

SE - 4 months, 1 week, 1 day to go! And yes, that wind was something last night wasn't it? Took our window well cover (again). Guess it's time to bring out the spare one (I buy them 2 at a time). DH doesn't attach it 'cuz it's bigger than the well itself so he has to move it when he mows / edges around the house. But it makes them prone to blowing away! LOL

I love that one donation at the beginning idea. We tried suggesting that to our school. Turns out they are a little more greedy than they care to admit.
:sad2:

And what is a "window well cover"??

And what is a "window well cover"??

:rotfl:

When they put windows into basement foundations sometimes they're above grade which is the best scenario but sometimes most of the window is below grade. So they dig a hole around it & put this metal lining in it. They're supposed to have drains that go straight down to below the basement slab so that rain water will drain below the basement. Anyway, they make these clear plastic bubble cover things you can get at like Home Depot or Lowes to put over these wells. If they're not covered you can collect leaves, trash, mice ETC in them. AND in this area, where our soil is all clay which gets gummy & gloppy when it's muddy it can clog the drains! THIS happened to us a couple of years ago. Never a problem in 6 years. Start to finish the basement and we had like 14" of rain in a weeks time or something INSANE like that. We didn't know the drain was clogged and the ground was saturated so the window well filled up like a tub and leaked thru the window and flooded the basement! Wet insulation, wet drywall....it was a mess and it happened like 3 times over a 2 week period! Had to run a dehumidifier, rip out & repl. the insulation ETC. Then we had to re-grade around this window well to direct the water away and we found some marine grade caulking and sealed up the sides of the well AND we sealed the window shut and now keep a cover over the whole thing to keep it from clogging! Now that the basement is finished we do not want it to flood again! Thankfully we only have one casement window below grade but it's in the finished side not the storage side!:goodvibes

Yikes, Sue Ellen! Hope you are feeling ok this morning. :thumbsup2

Very cute, Annie!

Holy cow, Cheri!!! I think you made the right choice. I would just love to see that idea thrown around our PTO, ROFL! it would make for some good entertainment. I think I will suggest it to DH...that idea will get him fired from treasurer for sure. :thumbsup2

Katie

Are you trying to get DH fired from treasurer!?:rotfl:

OK - dishwasher is done. Gots to unload it.

Laundry is started.

Baby is sleeping.

Family just got up. Lazies.;)

I am off to the grocery store.:thumbsup2

Kinda like it when baby gets up a little early. But don't tell her that.

On second thought...maybe I will go back to bed. Kidding. The "others" won't let me sleep. "Mom where is the.....??" Ugh. The world would cease to spin if women were not here to make it so.

 :woohoo:

ROFL! I just made the same comment here about an hour ago. WHY do I have to do everything while Im trying to work too???

And ummmm...yes! We don't have the time to deal with that stuff. And I just love when other parents show up at my door unannounced asking if I have the check for such and such, or dropping off money for me to bring to the bank (like they can't), etc... :headache:

Hey Everyone,

Bets: Thanks for the link to the hotel, it looks like a very nice place. We were just wondering how many people got reservations at the Raddison and who is staying else, just trying to get an idea, before we book a room some where.

Hi Sean & Linda!!! :)

Our school hits up the parents for a big donation at the beginning of the year (you wouldn't believe me if I told you how much) and then has a bunch of fundraisers all year long with the threat, "your kids won't have computer lab, science lab/teacher, video production, music teacher, reading specialist" Um... they are in elementary school! 10 year-olds don't need to know Powerpoint, Publisher, etc. They don't need to know how to make a production video. They don't need to have a full science lab and teacher. They certainly don't need a music teacher (that mandates an hour of recorder practice per week)! What they need is to have their butts in their chairs LEARNING.... so parents aren't TEACHING them stuff for hours after school.

But I don't have an opinion or anything.

i am at the Country Inn..

I was going to keep watching for the Radisson, but honesty, we are only sleeping there..and the Radisson has an open tiki party every Friday and Saturday night, so I can hang there with everyone no problem..

open tiki party?:woohoo: conga conga con-ga! It's by the pool, yes? so the kids/teens/newly minted Adult Bob can swim?

yes...it is a big buffet..not sure how they regulate it since it is poolside (maybe bracelets) but the hotel pool area is open so we can get in no problem

Rick was just pouring hot water out of the tea pot and the lid fell off...lotsa hot steam just blistered his hand...ouwie ouch ouch!

Ouchie, Bets! Some cold pixie dust heading toward Rick. :wizard:
