MIL received our docs!! I did not know that we only received 2 luggage tags per person.

DS6 can finally swim!!! Well, I will call it 'swimming'. Today was his last lesson. I told him weeks ago that if he did not know how to swim after 4 years of 7 swimming lessons of 2 weeks of sessions then he will not get on Mickey's boat with the rest of us. He will stay with my mom who will never go to the beach and will likely just kiss him all day long at their hotel in Miami.

Today was "Parents see their kid swim" day. He dived into the 4ft area and flipped over on his back. He was able to float to his insturctor or to an edge. Before he would want to jump in and we'd have to grab him.

Tomorrow is sewing night!! I have to sew a family photo of my parents 50th anniversary with us kids and the grandkids on 13 red t-shirts. We have to wear this on our Family reunioun in Tampa. My sisters and I are dreading to wear it but we will to please our mother. I will likely use it as a t-shirt cover up for my swim suit. We will be at Treasure Island.

Camcolt, I loved your family Disney wear photo. Where did you get all those shirts and dress? Did you sew them? I hate doing button holes and avoid making anything with button holes.

Annie, I'm not camping anymore. I may lose my job after this summer. We just lost 2 $100K accounts this weeks. That's $30K commission lost to the company. The owner says that he will make major changes in the upcoming weeks. So I am just keeping tight with the money. We will most likely cancel our 2BR at OKW this Thanksgiving since our friends don't think they can afford it after all. They were going to rent the other bedroom.

BTW during swimming lessons, I was talking to the swim director about buses. They used to have a bus to pick up the kids at the daycare centers. However, there has been a shortage of bus drivers. Anybody who is a licensed bus drivers are on demand here at Dallas. The city transportation is offering incentives for bus drivers. The price of gas has caused a lot of people to use buses and light rails. Even the chartered bus companies are charging more just to keep their drivers happily paid. Some chartered companies have to turn down jobs because their drivers are already used.

I had to put DS6 in a different daycare for the summer than where I have had my kids for 16 years. I signed him up too late with no openings available for swimming. This summer he is at daycare that walks to the swimming pool. I was planning for next year for the bus to pick him up at the rec center which is further down. That's when the swim director told me the bus system is shut down. I can't even park my minivan well. I hate driving the suburban. I don't think I can drive a bus.

I am asking everybody!! Has anybody found my sack of FE gifts that I bought 2 months ago? Nobody here knows where I placed them. I'm going crazy because it included autograph books for my 2 little ones to have for this trip. It also had other things for the trip that I picked up from the Tips list. My boys aren't helpful. They don't know what I am talking about. DH who can find everything knows that it was in a Target sack but has no idea where it is.

The only place I have yet to look are in the boys' room. Once I start looking there, I start cleaning and throwing their things away. This will take me the whole weekend. I hate going through my boys' closets and drawers. DH calls it my PMS mode. I throw everything away!!!

May - your bag is the same place my Michael's bag (with the FE holders and paint) is.... a black hole. Even after ripping apart my guest (ok, junk) room and searching all other likely places, the bag is no where to be found. I'm blaming my gremlins. They finally decided to help me clean up.

ok...i reprinted the 3 day contract with our new numbers on them...got all my docs together last night in one envelope with our birth certificates and all..

Nick leaves for his college thing tomorrow..we are going to dinner tonight with him so after tomorrow, I can use his room as my packing room!!

Glad the DIS is back up. I am frustrated. I found a job I wanted to apply for on CareerBuilder but I hate applying thru their website 'cuz my resume uploads all screwy. So I usually look up the company's website & apply directly. THIS company usually has their openings listed on the website so you just select the opening and then use their online profile system to apply. Well, so I guess they haven't put the job onto the website yet 'cuz I can't find it. They list 3 ways to apply under their instructions. Online profile, US Mail or by Fax. I don't have a fax and can't find the job on their site so I figured I'd just mail it. WELL. I ran out of ink. Have been trying to change the cartridge for 30 mintues and the whole printer is gunked up with trying to align the print cartridge. I have cancelled it and tried to start again but it's like it's stuck (mentally). GRRRR!!! I have a copy printed out on plain paper but was trying to use the "good" paper (already have the cover letter printed on the "good" paper and they need to MATCH). Geeze Louise. Why does EVERYTHING have to be SUCH a process?! I just need to print page 1 of the resume and the envelope. Come on man. Before the mail goes so I don't have to drive out to the P.O.!!

So, have not heard from that lady that called 2 of my 3 references like 3 weeks ago. Odd 'eh?! She left messages for them and they left messages for her and that was it. Oh well. I wanted better benefits anyway....

I just saw a neighbor kid (about 7 yrs old) riding down the street on one of those Rip Stick things with no helmet and carrying/holding a bow and arrow (like loaded/drawn)!! At least he wasn't alone! He was riding next to his 6 yr old sister who was on her bike with flip flops and no helmet.

And no, I can't sew a button. We bought those at the Disney Store over 3 years ago. Of course now we don't have one for Cam and Colt is wearing Cams old one, but at least mine and DH's still fit (I hope).

Im expecting 2 sets of docs and FE gifts from UPS...where oh where is my UPS man??? I hope they can find our house. It's pretty confusing. We are number 23 and yet there are only 4 houses on our street. Also the name of our Street is not what it shows on maps. And depending what map you look at it could be 1 of 2 different names.

I don't know Mandarin or Korean or whatever it is they answer to! Their names are Jacob & Phoebe but their English is limited. When I very first built my pond a few years ago Jacob kept coming over when nobody was around and throwing rocks into it. BIG rocks. One day, my fish were terrified and hiding from me. I climbed in and literally pulled out 2 buckets full of rocks that probably weighed 2 or 3 Lbs each. I thought I had told him enough times not to do it so I carried these 2 buckets of rocks over to his house and rang the doorbell. Papa Kwon or whatever came to the door & Jacob & Phoebe ran up behind him. You should've seen the look of terror on Jacob's face! I tried to explain to Papa that Jacob was throwing rocks at my fish. I heard that he wasn't allowed out of the house for a couple of weeks. But this was like 4 years ago. They were like 3 & 4 yrs old and were out running the neighborhood alone. Weird.


May - keep little DS in the water! The more he's around it the more comfortable he will be! We started taking DS to the pool when he was 13 months old. He jumped right in. He DID NOT like the little wading pool in the backyard tho. He was fine with the BIG pool tho. Swimming is the only athletic thing that our DS is interested in or remotely good at. So we're sorta pushing the whole swim team thing 'cuz he needs to do SOMETHING. Anyway, keep little DS around the water and he'll pick it up!

Couldn't resist the worrying ....called DCL to see when our Docs would come! They said ours for the 4 n went out 3 day shipping on Wed so if UPS doesn't bring them today we should probably get them on Mon. The Docs for the 3 n are in processing...they should go out next week sometime.

Katie - I just spent the last three hours wrestling with that dang web site. Finally got the calendar loaded and it's blurry - and feexed the Beano/RJ ****oo. So, I will probably up date it again.

I pick up my dress, Bets tomorrow. I sure hope it fits or I'll be on the celery diet for the next two and a half weeks. (I wonder if I put peanut butter on the celery if that will count... hm)

Altho if we don't get our docs it will be a non-issue. I joked with RJ that we'll be coming all the way to FL just to wave "bye bye" to the boat.

There is too much to do (I thought summer was supposed to be relaxing) to be working on my base tan. I don't want to be one of the lobster people you see the first two nights at dinner.

Celery diet? Ummmm...no thanks (but definitely add the peanut butter for some protein)! The problem with me being home right now is that I have been cleaning up leftovers for lunches in order to not be so wasteful and to watch the grocery bill! I can tell I've put on a couple of pounds so I will be pitching the leftovers for the next 3 weeks and dining on Lean Cuisines & Smart Ones! It's funny u mentioned dieting as I was JUST telling DH at dinner that I had to start counting calories big time for the next 3 weeks!

Tan...a base tan is supposed to be like an SPF 4 or something, right? I know those lobster people...they always have raccoon eyes too (white around their eyes 'cuz of their sunglasses)! I have been trying to sit outside for a couple of hours / week. That will have to do.
