Hi there gals!
Summer sure is a busy time, and I love it! So much easier to get stuff done without all that school stuff interrupting the flow of the day. Of course there is still baseball, and swimming, not to mention outings and vacations...But somehow I still manage to work more and get more house work and cooking done. I should just homeschool
JUST KIDDING! By mid August I am screaming for school to start again!
Nate and I just got back from 4 days at Disneyland. He is such an awesome Disney buddy. He totally has it down. Arrive early, get fast pass, go on ride, go on ride, use fast pass, get fast pass, get snack, go on ride, go on ride, use fast pass, get fast pass, get snack, etc. etc. etc. I just LOVE going to Disneyland with him without the rest of the family. Such fun.
We sent his Dad and brother to Alaska on a cruise alone. Originally we were all going to go, but it was turning into this huge financial investment and none of us had cruised before and I just did not want to risk that much money on an unknown. Turns out the had a good time. Hubby thinks we would have a great time. My son got a little bored. There were not many kids, it was a little cold in the pool. Probably my younger son would have been bored to tears on day 3. So glad we didn't go!
Anyhow, really enjoying the garden/yard as it changes weekly and new things are blooming. But I can't get caught up on the weeds. It is insane! I am paying my teenager to weed, but he really only does about 30 minutes a day.
Ok, off to shampoo more carpets. Started yesterday when a glass of milk was swished off a table (that it should not have been on!) and onto the floor by my pooch. Darn enthusiastic tale! But it looked so good that now I want to get them all done!
Hope you are all having a wonderful summer. I keep watching Southwest to see when they open up for booking for the trip. I have a luv voucher and also points, so I want to book as soon as I can!
