DIS Divas Trip! (old thread, see first post for link to new one)

Just wanted to jump on and say "hi" to everyone!

Tomorrow I'm headed down to Laguna Beach with my parents, sister and two nieces and then to Disneyland for three days. I'm excited to be getting a little break, but not too excited about walking around the parks while 32 weeks pregnant.

I hope everyone has been having a great summer!

Anyone going to be in the parks Labor Day weekend?

My mom and I will be there Friday-Sunday. Although I'm not going in on Saturday (blocked out). We'll just do DTD, the Garden Walk and hit the outlet store, plus I have the 10K on Saturday morning.

We are eating at the Cheescake Factory on Saturday night if anyone wants to join us.

You know I will! And I think I'll join you Saturday night As of right now. I may be kidnapping a friend that weekend so she can cheer me on and have fun in the parks after both events. I'll let you guys know.

Wendy it is good to hear from you. Have fun on your trip and hope your mom is doing well as well as yourself. I bet you are getting excited as you are getting down to the last few weeks.

Beth I know what you mean about getting rid of stuff when you don't think you are going to go. I have felt that way as way as well. For now the ONLY things we know we are for sure doing is Oct the diva trip and DW which that is still in the planning stages. We haven't actually booked or paid for anything but at least it is pretty certain. Everything else including next summer's trip is up in the air. I can't remember if I said but mom and dad own a 1/6th share in a condo in Puerto Vallarta so mom was thinking about taking the girls there next summer. They have never been to mexico and I haven't been since Shane got out of the Army back in 05. And if we go there we can do it fairly cheap since we can either stay in their condo or use their timeshare where since it is their home resort we can get free weeks. So that is the plan but again there is a lot of other stuff we are planning first so who knows if it will happen.

As far as New England and even the Aulani those are things that are at least getting a "little" more from just talking about to seriously consdiering but like always till something is actually booked it's just a dream LOL. So who knows. I am just so grateful for anything since like I said if it was up to me I wouldn't be able to leave my own town LOL. My parents know they are getting up their in age and are kind of in the bucket list stage. My mom thinks her days of traveling are getting less and less and wants to do as much as she can WHILE she can. The guy that co-owns her condo in Truckee just rented it for 2 years so we are pretty bummed cuz we won't be going up there anythime soon. That was always a nice place to go that was close to home but alas the bills come first.

Totally concur! Back from our beach trip and back to the real world of heat and mountains of laundry! Mainly sandy beach towels and sweatshirts.

I am starting to make granola and energy bites for a healthy drive through kiosk every week. 180 cups of oats to start with! Add the rest of the stuff and you have a BUNCH OF GRANOLA! Not sure if it is worth it yet, but time will tell. Hey, every little bit might help with my DL and traveling trips.

Totally concur! Back from our beach trip and back to the real world of heat and mountains of laundry! Mainly sandy beach towels and sweatshirts.

No fun trips planned for me and we won't make it back to WDW until 2015...waaaaahh! My life is mellow right now and I'm perfectly happy with that .

I don't know when we'll make it back to WDW. Actually, if we go to Orlando, we'd most likely just do US and IOA. But, the problem is, I can find deals on hotels and park tickets. It's the airfare! $350-$400 a ticket x 6 is just way too much. It sucks. Oh, well. Maybe someday....

Oh man I can't believe it. We only go to DW every 3 or 4 years and we are going in Nov next year. Can't believe we will miss you by a month . I REALLY was hoping that we would get the tail end of Food and Wine as the LAST time we went was the same week 4 years ago and we WERE able to get 1 day of F&W but apparently it now ends a week earlier. SOOOO bummed. But we need to go the week we are going as the girls are already going to miss a week of school as it is and this way on the 2nd week they already have the week off.

I told mom though whenever we go back I want to go in Oct. I LOVE F&W and it is probably my fav time to go/thing to do.

It looks now like we are going to try and stay at Port Orleans Riverside so we can hopefully get free dinning.

October 2014???? Jessica and I could very well be there!!! We usually try to go for F&W .... had to cancel this year .... thought DS might be planning a wedding but it looks like it is postponed until Feb/Mar 2014. So long story short Jessica and I will be there in Sept of this year .... so Oct 2014 for F&W is almost a must do!! We maybe staying onsite, resort or DVC but we may also be staying in a timeshare. Please post dates as you firm up your plans .... I'm pretty flexible on dates and would love to meet up with some Divas!!!
