Trudi I was planning on doing the marathon but we already have our Oct trip booked and the tix for the party and the marathon are on sale only days apart and I just can't afford both. So since the halloween one was already booked we are going to do that. I REALLY want to do a 5k at Disney but it seems when the tix are on sale it is always bad for me moneywise. We are going to shoot for the sept one in 14 but not sure if that will work either cuz I know those tix go on sale in jan and that is right after xmas and katy's birthday and right before the diva trip so we will have to see. Plus we are hoping to go to DW in Nov of 14 so as much as I REALLY want to go don't know if it will ever workout financially.

Hopefully we might see you though on our oct trip!! THat would be fun! And since Katy quit cheer we will be available for more of the diva stuff this time!!

Hello, ladies! Hope you all had a great weekend! It went by too fast unfortunately. The twin's turn 13 on Tuesday so we took them out this weekend for some fun pre-birthday activities. It was fun, but I'm tired. Being out and about in the heat is so draining.

Can I just say that I am so over painting the house. I just have a little bit left to do, and I am dragging my feet to get it done. It also doesn't help that I have to do some of it outside, where the weather is making it quite icky.
But tomorrow, I'm just going to have to drag myself, and get r done.

Good morning, ladies!!
Today is Lindsey and Hannah's birthday. I cannot believe they are officially teenagers now! So we now have two 13 year olds, a 16 year old, and an 18 year old under one roof. Let the gray hair commence!
Tonight we'll have tacos for dinner, their fave, and then cake and ice cream. Keeping it simple since we did a lot this weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Mel, good luck on the painting! Try to get out there before it gets too hot. That's what I'd do. Wake up early, get it done and then nap.

Hey girls!
It looks like I may be there for the whole trip after all. Work seems stable enough for now. I am saving though (already have $400 put away!) I do plan on visiting my sister for a week so I have to save for that airfare as well as this trip. Still not sure about renewing my AP though.

Oh! Is anyone going to the D23 Expo? Anyone need a roommate? I thought it would help to split the cost of the hotel since the prices are a bit higher due to the expo.

I really want to go to the party but I'd have to close the daycare early and I'm already doing that the month before for the race. I will see what I can work out with the parents. If I close at 4 I can be down by 6. All I want to do is Trick or Treat. LOL I've done the Haunts tour so won't do that again. You're dressing up right?

We did the haunts tour once the very first year they had it like in 05 or something. I can't remember but it was the first year and they gave out these weird glow necklaces. It started in DCA in Front of Tower of Terror. We are going to do it one more time cuz it was just mom, Lynn and I so the girls have not done it and thought it would be fun.

As far as the party we are the same. We like to get the candy, get pics with characters and of course see the parade and fireworks. We don't go on any rides. The girls are going to dress up but I am just going to wear one of my cute Disney Halloween t's. I did dress up once. THe last year we did it all four of us (Shane, me and the girls) did.

That would be great if you could make it!

When Sarah and I took the tour it also started in front of TOT and ended in front of HM. We got a very cool necklace that lit up with a large metal key that said Ghost Relations on one side and Disney's Happiest Haunts on the other.

Good morning ladies!

I will not be making it down to DL during any of those dates.
But I will be down towards the end of September. The scavvy hunt team will be having our official meeting to wrap things up. I am also coming back in December to see all the Christmas decor. That is my absolute favorite time to be there.

So I finally got around to painting my front door. I tried 3 different colors of red . I am finally happy! 6 coats of paint! I think that should do it! LOL!
Red is a hard color to decide on.
Now Dave has to hang it back up, so I can paint the inside.
( I hope once it get hung, I like how it looks.)

A week from today, we are having another family reunion here. This time for Dave's side. Then a few days later, heading to the beach for our annual camping trip with all of our children. Dave and I usually leave a few days ahead of time to just be by ourselves, and to gear up for the grandkids. HA!

Anywhos, hung the door, and still didn't like the red. Took it back down. Dave just loves me. So another 2 coats of paint. I think this is the one. I certainly hope so. So far the paint has cost me waaaay more than I was thinking. LOL!

First color was "Forbidden Red'
Next was "Holly Berry"
Next was "Red Delicious"
Final "Posh Red"

Anyone ever want an opinion on what color of :red: to get, just give me a call.

Update on my puppy dog situation. I had to say goodbye to my beautiful baby girl Maxine yesterday. The cancer moved too quickly and she was unable to eat or drink on her own. She was faithfully by my side for 14 years and will be profoundly missed. I can't believe a little over 2 months ago she wasn't even sick. I'm lost without her.
