Mama is having a rough time. They started radiation treatments too soon and it made her very sick. Turned out nobody ordered her lab work and she didn't know she was supposed to have them before her first treatment. She is slowly but surely feeling better ever day.

Sorry to hear that sending and hugs to you and your mom!

Anyone here watch Dancing with the Stars? I didn't watch last season, but I watched last night. The girl from Shake It Up, did awesome!! Wow. I wanted to watch mainly because I love Wynonna Judd, but she was a little.... stiff last night. I like her though! I hope she stays and has a chance to improve. Kellie Pickler did really well, too. When she she cut her hair so short?
Anyway, it was fun to watch.

I watch it but didn't last night .... I have it on the DVR for when I get home tonight. I have a cougar crush on Derek .... did I just admit that?

I found lots of orange clothes in the clearance section of Target. Shorts, dresses, skirts, jackets and tops, they had it all - one could really go all out!

Wow, celebrating with the big leprechans. A million years ago when I was young, I went out with the same group of friends for St. Paddy's day. i was known as the token redhead.

I love the duct tape idea. They have so many patterns now. It's not just for redneck parties anymore.

Irish Car Bombs are dangerous. And honestly, not quite my cup of tea either. But I like to be social and celebrate, so there you have it. Would be better I think if I didn't have to drink them down so fast. Thats usually where the issues come from.

And yes, duct tape is for everyday living now. Eat your heart out Martha Stewart.

You guys are so good. I got my kids a Berenstein Bear book about Easter...to share. My mom usually gives them Easter baskets and I figure they don't need more than one each. We dye eggs and do a hunt but that's about it. I think I might go and buy my daughter an Easter dress this year though.

I am getting my DD shampoo and the like for her basket this year. Been having a bit too much, "I wants" the last week or so, so need to remind the dear 12 year old that money does not grow on trees, and sometimes shampoo and deoderant is a gift, thank you very much.

Linda, you are too funny. I do the same thing, give my kids things they can actually use and that I would have bought them anyway. I do that a lot around Christmas. Every little thing gets wrapped up and called a gift.

Nothing says festive occassion more than a wrapped box of kotex, I am thinking.

Amy, I'd love to watch some of the Divas trying to say "DisDivasAmyOkraSueDamnSkippyPhotoScavyPubCrawl" after they've had a few. I can barely say it now!

Me neither, thinking this is just a title in progress. I think I will have to work on it. Still need to work in the word, "Epic". And trying the DDAOSDKPSPC, really did not help, did it?

Since I live about 15 minutes from sea world and actually drive by the entrance on my way to work, I always consider that deal, but haven't been a member for 10 years. Probably not this year either.

C'mon spring, we're waiting on you here in never ending winterland

Noah's on his spring break, the frenzy of various teenagers and college kids staying over with thumbs a tapping on controllers started last week. Today is a quieter day, they do have to sleep and see their own parents sometimes - today is that day.

I went thru my food stockpiled and pulled out a bunch of stuff to donate to food shelf. Things I got free or less than 50¢, sugary cereals that no one eats (Noah is my odd child, he likes cheerios and that's about it) and pre-made boxed/canned stuff that I just can't use. I really prefer my own seasonings/spices over anything in a can. And waaaaaay waaaay too much pasta.
I weaned myself off pop, I had kicked the diet pop habit a year ago because the artificial sugars did not play well with my fibro symptoms. Now I think HFCS are the next to go. Almost EVERYTHING pre-made, frozen, boxed, canned has corn syrup.
I was thinking, wow I've been pretty good lately! Then we had Doritos as a treat. ohh now I remember what that feels like and I don't like it very much.

So I have bittersweet things to discuss..

Looks like I won't make the Divas trip next year after all..Because DH and I are going to plan our first WDW trip together !

I grew up in Florida for 23 years but have only been back once since then for my late mom's funeral in 2005.

I wanted to do something special and new..and WDW has changed so much since I was there in 2005..I figured..if we start planning now we can have one amazing time and plan to spend about 8 - 10 days there and stay on site ( I never have before ) and purchase a Premier pass by year's end.

There is a small chance I can still sneak away for a few days by myself during the trip but no promises. I loved seeing all the photos and exciting things I missed.

Bills are being paid off/debt..and we have no plans to have children anytime soon so we are going to enjoy our time now

Hope everyone is doing well this week.

I think I have been a veterinarian for too long. Call my patients all sorts of cutsie pie names when I cannot recall their actual name during an exam. Boy are called Handsome usually and girls get a large assortment of names.

That habit of calling people things like "Sugar Bun", or "Sugar Plum", or "Sweet Knees", is a carry over.


Makes me seem all nice and everything.

Karisa, I spent all day Sunday with Amy and not once did she call me Honey Bun, Sugar Plum or any other term of endearment. She did however ask me if I was still having troubles with my hind leg.

The cat we were babysitting is now gone so I am off to start cleaning my house. I know a lot of you have pets, but for a non pet person....it's just so much fur to clean up! I enjoyed having her but I wouldn't want one of my own, ya know?
