First of all Mel you need to stop with the old talk. Girl you are younger looking and more energetic then a lot of 20 year old's lol. I am forever in awe at all you do.

And for anyone who thinks they are old my mom turned 68 this past trip and will turn 69 on the first day of the next one so I think she may qualify as the oldest diva LOL. But heck she has figured out that as long as she can get a lark she's all good and still up for the trips as long as she can. So no worries about age!! ;)

Amy we are actually starting off in St. Louis. My mom grew up there and has not been back since she left at age 11. We are going to fly in there and go visit her dad's grave at the vet cemetery, go to her dad's hometown and try to do some research on his geneaology (he was born in 1889 and his mom was a cherokee indian so not many records). Then we are going to take the girls to the arch and grant's farm. After 2 days there we are driving across Kentucky and W Virginia and our destination will be Virginia and Colonial Williamsburg with stops and Jamestown and Yorktown. A little historical journey for the girls and ourselves. Then we are going to start heading down the coast and hit Virginia Beach, the Outter Banks and all stops in between with our destination being Charleston. I am hoping for a day in Savannah as well. I LOVE the south and all it's culture and history so really looking forward to it. I have been to NY DC and Florida but never to that part and never to the atlantic ocean. :)

I too am excited about being at the Grand. We are going to have the girls staying with us next time so it will be a lot easier for me when we do diva stuff to know they have a nice hotel to hang out in, go to the pool they can go down and hang at the fireplace or white water and they can even go into the parks since the hotel is right there. Plus I am looking forward to being so close for trips to Trader Sam's, DTD etc. Mom and I went to the Uva bar this last time and that is a fun place as well.

And I know no one ever has gone but let me tell you for a nice meal Catal is REALLY good too. Another suggestion for future nice meal ideas.

We also ate at SH55 last June and it is amazing as well.

I'm hoping for nice warm weather so I can spend some time at the pool sipping iced tea. I've looked through the fence many times and now to be able to be on the inside is very exciting!

Trudi, you just have to wait until someone comes by with a key and follow them in!

I want to come play too. I will be with Ruth Iverson Lucas

Hi Tina!! Welcome to the insanity that is the wonderfulness of the DisDivas! :)

I am happy happy happy to see so many excited Divas who want to stay at the Grand! Honestly, I wasn't sure how many would be interested, and I was crossing my fingers that we would maybe get enough for 10 rooms. Did I underestimate this group or what?!! :goodvibes

We're all going from redneckin' it up at the HOJO to high-classin' it up at the Grand! What FUN! :woohoo:

And a pub crawl in ORANGE too?!! Someone pinch me. :yay:

Are you kidding???? Stay at the GCH for almost what we paid for HoJo? Ya, count me in! LOL I'm sooooooooo glad you called them!!!! :thumbsup2 While orange is not my best color, I'll wear it for the pub crawl! lol

I think we now know how we are going to finance the stay at the Grand.

hahahaha :lmao:

:rotfl::lmao::lmao::rotfl:

I would just like to say I did not wear orange today. Why some may ask???? I do not do orange. But I rock at Black. Wearing my new Mickey track suit I got at company D :goodvibes

I think our shirts will be simple yet elegant since we really could end up with 100 ladies. Guess Mel needs to start teaching some other talented Diva's how to make them. I am excited for the great group that is growing but every new one is a possible new shirt. Poor Mel will be sleeping and eating glitter rofl. :cloud9:

I'm happy to help. I'm thinking we might want to pick shirts colors/designs sooner for next year so we have more time to get them printed and blinged? lol

You're only as old as you feel, and your Mom looked like she was really enjoying herself. :) I'd be happy to run around the parks with her anytime!

So March isn't getting any better then February was....LOL I feel like I have zero time and I really need something to give so I can have a break. I might feel differently after this week because I'm not working at the bar for the rest of the month's Saturdays and I only have one more Friday, hopefully having the weekends "off" will help me get some rest.

I'm really excited about the GCH, I stayed there once and it was amazing! I just can't wait to stay there again and hang out with old friends, make new ones and become better acquainted with a variety of you. :)

Room/Roomie List

The most updated room/roomie list has been posted to the front page. Yes, it will change a thousand times before the trip. Yes, many of the ladies without roomies will end up rooming with someone. Yes, I'm thinking a block of 30 rooms will be just about right. :thumbsup2

If you don't see your name or want to make a change, just post it here or send Beth a message and she will update it on the front page. :)

Me too!!! I would LOVE to join you at the pool!!! :beach:
Its a date!
Trudi, you just have to wait until someone comes by with a key and follow them in!
Is that how it works? Ha ha, just my luck the person would turn around and say who are you???
Ice tea... is that the Long Island brand??:beach:
Nope, just plain iced tea.
Or jucie box wine.

Hee hee. All are welcome!

Good afternoon, ladies! I spent the morning at the ortho with Noelle. She broke her braces and we had to get the bracket, or whatever the heck that thing is called, put back on. Took forever.

Anyway, happy hump day to y'all!! I want it to be the weekend already. It's St. Patty's Day this Sunday. Anyone have any fun plans? :)

Does this mean that poor Tinkerbites is going to have a orange dye job.

I can not escape the orange crush.:eek::eek:
Muahahahahahaha! There is no escape from the orange crush. Hmmm, an orange Tinkerbites....something to think about. :rolleyes1

Beth rocks and she is my favorite today.
:teeth: Yay me!!

No mention of the Pub Crawl Committe....conspiracy?
Perhaps.... :rolleyes1

So who was on the committee again? I know you are the CPCO (Chief Pub Crawl Officer). lol

Pool party!!!! :beach:

Can I just say that all this talk of staying at GCH has me SO excited about this trip???!

<--- scurries off to make a ticker for next year!

That sounds quite official. Do I get a badge and a flamethrower?

Badge, sure. Flamethrower? :scared1: Depends on how many drinks you've had...

Actually, you and AmySue are in charge of the pub crawl. We are following your lead, from one drink to another. ;)

I am SOOOOO excited about the Grand! I love their pool, comfy beds, balconies.. comfy pool chairs, closeness to everything! :cool1::cool1::cool1: I might be running off for a massage too.. LOL! I WILL relax this trip! :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

I have a quick question -- I know this is a girls trip, but so some DIVAS bring their family / or older kids along and break off to do Diva stuff whilst the family/ others do their own thing? I have my teen (17yo) son begging me to let him and his BFF come along. I'm sure they'd be up to doing their own things, but I don't know if its proper etiquette to let them tag along in the background or not. :confused3 personally, I'm all for keeping this trip as budget friendly as I can, since ill be doing a big WDW trip in FEB 2015--- paying for one is much more cost effective! But I am trying to weigh all the options I may have if those boys keep pressuring me to tag along!

Hello everyone! My name is Lori, I am a 53 year old grandmother. I am married and live in Fort Collins, CO, with my husband. My daughter, son-in-law and 14 month old granddaughter live here too as well as my son (29).
I grew up in Florida ( at opening day in WDW ) moved to Texas, then back to Florida in 2010 ( lived 12 miles from WDW) and now home is Colorado. I come from a family of WDW cast members. My father took care of the Disney plane in the late 60's many times when it would land in Florida, 2 nieces work for DVC in FL and my daughter was "friends" of characters for a few years.
Last November we all went to DL/CA and fell in love with the parks. I had not been back to DL since 1978. Matter of fact DH and are are heading down for a few days in May we loved it so much.
Anyway I had wanted to join the group for this past trip, but it wasn't gonna happen. So I am gonna make it happen for 2014.
So here it is..... Will you let me in?

That's so cool that your dad took care of the Disney plane. Sounds like Disney runs in your family! Glad you'll be able to make the next trip. They are so much fun. :)
