I don't really do character meals, and yet I've done Surf's Up 3 times. :rotfl: So, if I was to do another one, it probably wouldn't be that. It's good though! :thumbsup2

Nothing is ever out of the running. Meaning that if a meal you, or someone else wants, doesn't make it to the list, you can always do it with a smaller group. For example, last time Mel, myself and a couple other ladies wanted to eat at Trader Sams. It wasn't on the actual list, but we didn't like the dinner plans one night so we went and ate there.

What's up there now isn't set by any means. It takes awhile to fine tune the meals simply because there are so many choices, so many different preferences within the group, and only so many days.

Did that make any sense at all?

Makes perfect sense. I like the character meals, but I am not the hugest fan of the Pooh gang, so something other than Plaza Inn would be better for me, haha. I love Mickey and Stitch, so Surf's Up is my vote. I've been there once before too, and we had such a fun time. Goofy made our meal so memorable!

One thing about the character meals, they will be included on the Photopass Plus... something to think about.

As well as ride photos...

I can see where this will mean we'll have LOTS of pictures!!

Beth, you can add me to the first page as the Photopass go-to person.

I can not find the Dis Diva page on facebook. I know I popped in once when it was created I can not find it in my groups so could someone please send me a link thanks. So I can see the designs thanks :)

I always wear one for the Princess photo! I can't wear one all day - I have to wear a ballcap to keep the sunburn at bay. Yes, even in February. LOL I have, however, looked at the option of sewing one onto my ballcap.....
While in Vegas, we saw sunglasses that had tiaras on the top of them. Should have bought them. :rotfl:

Dinner for Wednesday......Naples, house of blues, or at GC. Napa or storytellers? I stayed at the grand C in 2010 and LOVED it!!

Not a sit down meal, but I am very curious about the "Earl of Sandwich" or what ever it is called. Just throwing that out. Could be for another time too.

There is no Cheesecake Factory where I live - over 250 miles to the closest one if you can believe that. After seeing the yummy pictures several pages ago, it's on my must do list. My current plans are to arrive on Tuesday for the Diva Meet. Is anyone interested in eating at Cheesecake Factory on Tuesday night if we don't end up having a Diva meal there?
I might be around on Tuesday! I love me some Cheesecake Factory and their "Vanilla Bean Cheesecake" with raspberry puree.

Yes I do remember you :) Yup it was the first year. Could not make it back until now. Ready to jump back in though I did lurk at the post for years lol :)
HI there! I was there the first year too! Welcome back! :goodvibes
:lmao:

Tina BoBina---for reals? I am shocked and disappointed in you. And quite worried that you have snuck that by me....tut tut.

A tiara would look lovely in your gorgeous dark hair. And, I heard a well selected tiara can make your butt look better.

:)
LOL.... AmyOnaRollOkraSue! You maka me laugh!:laughing:

SWEET! Capri and her tiara with a beer in her hand at breakfast is a photo I would TOTALLY cherish!

Bonus points for tie-dye. :rotfl2:
LOL... that made me laugh too!

Ok, I'm acting as if I am 100% sure I'm going.
So, quick questions:

t-shirts: I have missed out on the last few tees because of not paying attention. Please tell me I haven't missed my chance for next year's tees.
?
:confused3
PM me. I might have something.

Guess what?

Yay Capri!!!! :banana::cool1::dance3::cheer2:party: :dancer: :jumping1:

*Clampets* <snicker>

We could do the tiara design as a JPEG and then folks could print it on T shirt transfer paper and do their own t's or put it on the back of a t. <gasp> Melody? What about a back design for the group shirt?!
Hmm? How about Zazzle?

Exactly!! ::yes::

Definite yes on this one. I love Earl of Sandwich.

Stoooooop:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I am still 250 miles away!! And of course, by "have dinner" I meant have an appetizer or small salad and DESSERT. I have been drooling ever since I saw those pics on an earlier page.

To see the Diva FB page, I, or someone else in the group, need to be "friends" with you on FB to add you. There are no designs yet though.

Right! I forgot all about that! We should do that one day for all those ladies who never get Earl's.

Fantastic sugar lump!! Hope you get so much work that you can complain about TOO much money.:lmao:

I would TOTALLY wear that! Really, I would. :thumbsup2 ::yes::

Seriously, you thought I might not notice this? For real? Shun a tasteful little sparkle to accentuate your flawless good looks, but all eager Miss Pick Me, Pick Me with that tacky thing. Pu-leese.

I have my eye on you Missy.::yes::

Or a corn dog.

Remember the first year? Even the thought of a corn dog makes me grin.

Good thing I have perfect hair for a tiara. No lie.

Yadda yadda yadda....hair hair hair. Okay, it does rock, but ho-hum.

Now look how far behind I am, and I didn't even get to get my two cents in!:snooty:

With this economy, your 2 cents ain't worth much. Just sayin'.

Last trip some of us went to Trader Sams after the M&G. How about this time going to the lounge in Carthay? Much warmer and closer! Of course we probably should change out of our hillbilly clothes first.:rotfl:

Gosh you wild thing. I went to bed after the Meet and Greet. I was sick though, and had no extra pants (big hilarity in my room when I discovered I had failed to put any of my jeans in my suitcase), so had to conserve my energy....and my pants.

That is all I have for today. Hope all is well.

Oooo! Sounds good! If DCA is still open when we are done. If they close at 8, we won't make it.
I didn't even think about the closing time. Boo!
That might be tough to do if the Meet and Greet runs long. Keep in mind, we have a bigger group this year, so everything (the exchange, eating, games, etc) is going to take longer. Plus adding in time to change.
I know after cleaning up after the party last year and going back to the hotel to store the decorations and left overs, the other committee members and I didn't make it over to Trader Sams until late. The ladies we were supposed to meet with were done and ready to go by that point.

I think drinks in the lounge is a fine idea, as are drinks a Trader Sams. Either one, or both. I'm just not sure if it will work that night. :confused3
Well maybe a different night.

I'll have to pass on this.:goodvibes

That's great news!!

Beth, really I am a scared passenger too, which is why I offered to drive. ;)Really though, I am a good driver, and can handle you gripping the dash board and will not be offended. We can then have transportation to Newport!! :thumbsup2 We can charge $10 for passengers to join, :rotfl2:

Hey cammomama, (heather), we can decorate out door with Tinkerbell dressed in Cammo :lmao:

I love the beer tiara but since my fav color is purple I will pick the purple jeweled one instead pixiedust:

As for the food places I am very open and will go with the flow. I do love me some Monte Cristo and can share if anyone wants to :grouphug:

I have never tried the Monte Cristo, but it sure looks good. Not sure I could eat the whole thing, or even half!

I yell at my husband if he drives over 75 or gets too close to the car in front of him. Do I get to yell at you, too? :hyper: :rotfl:

It would be nice to have another car for Newport. I'm not sure who all is going. Some of the local ladies said that since they can go to DL anytime, they were interested in a day away at the beach, but now I can't remember exactly who was in. Katie? Linda? Chris? Mary Jo? Not sure...

We need to pick someone's brain who's more familiar with Newport than I am for good places to eat! It's Theresa's birthday that day and I know she wants to go someplace fun/nice for lunch. We'll be back in time for the Fantasmic dessert seating for those who are signed up for that.

Sounds familiar. Of course, I also yell that he's trying to kill me. Guess who does pretty much ALL the driving in this family? :)

I found this on Touring Plans regarding the Princess Meet & Greet area:

The Disney Princess Royal Walk is where little ones can meet princesses. The usual Disneyland queue must be endured to meet and be photographed with the duty princess on the Royal Walk.
While the line may not look daunting, the waits can in fact be some of the longest in the park, with the line regularly reaching 45-60 minutes during the peak of the day.
Touring Tips:
Note that the Princess Royal Walk was part of Princess Fantasy Faire, which closed on August 13, 2012. At that time, the princesses and their royal walk moved to the plaza outside it's a small world, where they are currently located.
In 2012, construction began to build a new home for the princesses on the site of the former Carnation Plaza Gardens near the Main Street hub, which will include an elaborate meet and greet area, a stage for shows featuring your favorite feminine characters, and a new Tangled-inspired tower for audience participation "royal ribbon parades." Boogie and jive fans, don’t get jumpy yet: the weekend swing dance parties, a popular fixture of the Plaza Gardens since the park’s early days, have temporarily relocated to a stage in Downtown Disney, and we’re promised that they’ll return to the park once the project is complete. The Fantasyland Theater is expected to begin hosting staged shows again before the new meet-and-greet location is complete in late 2013.
The Princess Royal Walk typically opens about one hour after the park opens (since it's closer to the back of the park). If you're intent on visiting, be sure to find out the exact opening time in the Times Guide, and show up at least 15 minutes beforehand. Note that the cast of princesses rotates during the day and has no set line-up, but the princesses that are usually in the list include Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Tiana, and Ariel.

Good morning, ladies. *yawn* I'm sleepy today...

Well, I think this is another one we'll have to play by ear. We have our back up plan, which is to just take it in front of the castle. The photopass photographers have been so nice and are usually pretty good about working with us.
It will depend on how many actually do the pic. In years past, not everyone shows up for the princess photo, and some are doing the tour that morning which will also conflict with that.
Again... a wait and see type of thing. But, hopefully something will work out.
