YAY! Congrats!!! :thumbsup2 And I'm :rotfl2: over the sideburns and trucker hats......:rotfl:

Kerri, here is the sign I made for the hotel door last trip. I roomed with Kandace and Jamay so all our names were on there.

This is Cheryl and Mel's:

This was Jen's. They had a 2 room villa I think and this showed all the ladies staying together:

Just an example of some of the fun door decorations some of the ladies have done. There's been lots more over the years, but that was all I could find for now.

OMG those are so cute!!! :) I love it!

Did some more playing around and tweaking based on some of the posted suggestions from Tina, Cheryl, Angie, Kerri, etc.

Wednesday, February 27:
Arrivals at various times throughout the day and evening
Lunch: Rancho Del Zocalo (a good first meeting spot and you can bring to-go items over from other restaurants if you want)

Dinner: Two choices tonight. Cheesecake Factory for those who want to walk to Garden Walk. Or Storyteller's Cafe for those wanting to stay on property. HoB would've been fun, but I think as Tina said, too noisy for a first night dinner.

Thursday, February 28:
Breakfast: Plaza Inn character meal (assuming we can get in early enough to be done before 9:15 for the tour)
Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour @ 9:30
Lunch: Carnation Cafe or Cafe Orleans. Both have good appetizers if you don't want to order much after a big breakfast.
5:30 p.m. - Meet and Greet Party @ Carousel Hotel (includes dinner)

Friday, March 1:
Breakfast: quickie on your own before the photo/hunt
Group photo in DCA (either at the fountain or in front of Mickey Wheel)
Scavenger Hunt
Lunch: To be decided based on where the hunt ends (in the Pacific Wharf area would be nice or over by Boardwalk Pizza, hint, hint, hunt team, lol)
Dinner: Again, two choices tonight. Carthay Circle for those who want to do "fancy" or Flo's V-8 Cafe for those who want casual.

Saturday, March 2:
*Optional off-site day at Newport Beach for those interested*
Breakfast: Riverbelle Terrace?
Traditional Tiara/Princess photo, (if not available, tiara photo in front of castle),followed by group ride on It's a Small World
2nd Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour @ 9:30
Lunch: Big Thunder BBQ
Dinner: a counter service? since most will be full from the BBQ and don't want to eat alot before the F! dessert seating. Maybe Jolly Holiday Cafe?
Fantasmic dessert seating (Time TBD)

Sunday, March 3:
Last day of the trip
Group farewell breakfast @ Mimi's Cafe

:thumbsup2:)

Congrats! The kids will love you! Do you have a grade range?
Door signs in the theme of our Meet and Greet party.... I could only imagine what the other guests would be thinking.... The Clampets are staying at the Hojo :lmao:
The Clampets are exactly what I have in mind when I think of the theme.;)
Per Touring Plans it looks like the park should open at 8am on Saturday March 2nd, so those wanting to do the tour might be able to get in on the group photo before the tour if the photo is early enough. I know this was one of my dilemmas about doing the tour or not, well besides the price.

They like you to arrive for the tour 15 minutes early to sign in and get your name tag and stuff.

I know the meals will change over and over again before things are set in stone so I'm not going to get too excited over anything yet.:rotfl:

Good grief! :faint:

Now look how far behind I am, and I didn't even get to get my two cents in!:snooty:

Nothing is set yet. Please put in your thoughts. Out of 70 plus ladies only a handful have posted so far and like Trudi said "meals will change over and over again before things are set in stone".

So, I'm catering a backyard wedding this Saturday. It's 120 people, so not too bad. I just have my fingers crossed that the weather holds out!
Good luck! I cannot imagine cooking for that many people.

Or a corn dog.
Mmmm, corn dogs... So simple, so good. DL is the only place I will eat a corn dog.
By the way, hi Stacie!

LOL Silly Mel, throw in your two cents! By all means. Nothing is set yet, we just have to start somewhere and go from there, kwim?
I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts. Of course, you know that won't happen since a good portion of the group just wants to show up and not think about it.
Which is okay, too. :)

Last trip some of us went to Trader Sams after the M&G. How about this time going to the lounge in Carthay? Much warmer and closer! Of course we probably should change out of our hillbilly clothes first.:rotfl:

I'll see if I can find some pics from years past to show you. Basically it just has the roomies names on it in some fun way.

Here are my door signs from 2011 and 2012:

As you can see, I lost a few of the dangly jewels on the trip home. LOL

Oooo! Sounds good! If DCA is still open when we are done. If they close at 8, we won't make it.

That might be tough to do if the Meet and Greet runs long. Keep in mind, we have a bigger group this year, so everything (the exchange, eating, games, etc) is going to take longer. Plus adding in time to change.
I know after cleaning up after the party last year and going back to the hotel to store the decorations and left overs, the other committee members and I didn't make it over to Trader Sams until late. The ladies we were supposed to meet with were done and ready to go by that point.

I think drinks in the lounge is a fine idea, as are drinks a Trader Sams. Either one, or both. I'm just not sure if it will work that night. :confused3

Lisa, those are so nice!! I never saw the one from last trip. Where were you staying?

Aw Kandace.... I was just kidding! LOL!

As of the moment I am about half way done getting caught up. I have 3 of my grandchildren here. That explains everything.

They're also generally available at the Dollar Tree. When I had a pony tail, I wore a beige ball cap with the tiara perched on the brim, and took the cap off and just wore the tiara for photo ops. I'll probably to the same even with short hair (I'll just end up with hat hair - ugh) just because I burn easily.

Sounds familiar....

Don't forget these cute tiaras from the Disney Store.....

DisneyStoreTiaras.jpg

Congrats Capri! Sounds great!

Those tiaras from the Disney Store are big and blingy. Since I am not really a girly girl, something small and simple is what I am looking for.

Is Surfs Up out of the running for a breakfast?

I like the t-shirt idea Tiara's for everyone.. soo cute!

*Clampets* <snicker>

We could do the tiara design as a JPEG and then folks could print it on T shirt transfer paper and do their own t's or put it on the back of a t. <gasp> Melody? What about a back design for the group shirt?!

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone! :cheer2:

I'm excited! And actually also, ummmmm, nervous. I've never subbed before. I guess as long as the day ends with all kids accounted for and alive, then that's considered a successful day, right? :goodvibes

Yup!

Or a corn dog.

Mmmmm... corn dog..... no trip to Disneyland is complete until I've had one!

The Clampets are exactly what I have in mind when I think of the theme.;)

We were at Carousel again.

No, they aren't at all! Fits in the palm of my hand! 3.25" wide by less than 2" tall! Super tiny!

hang on - I'll upload a pic for size reference:

Is Surfs Up out of the running for a breakfast?
I don't really do character meals, and yet I've done Surf's Up 3 times. :rotfl: So, if I was to do another one, it probably wouldn't be that. It's good though! :thumbsup2

Nothing is ever out of the running. Meaning that if a meal you, or someone else wants, doesn't make it to the list, you can always do it with a smaller group. For example, last time Mel, myself and a couple other ladies wanted to eat at Trader Sams. It wasn't on the actual list, but we didn't like the dinner plans one night so we went and ate there.

What's up there now isn't set by any means. It takes awhile to fine tune the meals simply because there are so many choices, so many different preferences within the group, and only so many days.

Did that make any sense at all?

But if it's on the back, how would it show up in photos? :confused3
I like the design. It's cute! I can see that printed out in pink on a heather gray shirt for Saturday. But, I like the idea of it being put out there as an option for those who would like to add their own transfer and design their own shirt to wear the day we do the princess/tiara photo.
I already know that not everyone will want wording about tiaras on their shirts. Not naming any names though... :rolleyes1
