Stacie, not Stace... just something that bugs me, nothing personal, Beth.

Oh, and I don't wear tiaras...

WHAT? Did you or did not see the "hog tie/rope/super glue" threat to Capri?

Do not think that you are exempt little missy.

Tiaras for everybody!!!

Don't make me go all Ninja. :lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I thought I was the only one who called it the Wheel of Death!!!

In my case, it is more the wheel of vomit. I can't do the swinging cars.

Ugh, turned green the one time I tried. The CM was very fast to let us off after one revolution. He did not want to have to mop, I am thinking.

OKay, I'm going to start a sign up list for the tour now. That way we know for sure what numbers we are looking at. I haven't looked into it directly, but was told the tour starts at 9:30 and accommodates 15. I'll take sign-ups and we can go from there.
Sign me up for the tour on Thursday, and the Fantasmic dessert party on Saturday.

**REMINDER:
You're Meet and Greet committee is hard at work coming up with fun food ideas and decorations for the Redneck party! It's going to be great. If you haven't already signed up for that, please make sure you do so. If you aren't sure if you'll make it or not just yet, that's fine, we are simply trying to get a general head count. Thanks!!

Already signed up, but wondering about what to wear. I have no western wear. Is it redneck to wear silly pajama pants out in public as though that counted as being dressed, or am I just showing my age???

Me too! My problem was, they didn't notice how green I was and I almost fainted when the wheel started around a second time! I spent the entire ride praying that I didn't vomit or faint - and I was close to both the entire time. My friends usually won't even ride it when they're with me because they know how I feel about it:rotfl2:

On a happier note, I went to see Hotel Transylvania this weekend, and it was really cute!!:thumbsup2

There is no Cheesecake Factory where I live - over 250 miles to the closest one if you can believe that. After seeing the yummy pictures several pages ago, it's on my must do list. My current plans are to arrive on Tuesday for the Diva Meet. Is anyone interested in eating at Cheesecake Factory on Tuesday night if we don't end up having a Diva meal there?

Hi, Ruth!! I do remember you! The first year, right? In '08? At least I hope you are the same Ruth. LOL You probably don't remember me. :rotfl2:

In any case, glad you are on board again. The group has gotten much, much larger since that first year, with even more fun to be had. :)

Yes I do remember you :) Yup it was the first year. Could not make it back until now. Ready to jump back in though I did lurk at the post for years lol :)

/
Hi Ruth! From your 1st-year roomie!!

Wave hi back :) I knew you would remember me. Glad to be seeing you again :)

Oh catching up fast so Sign me up for the tour on Thursday, and the Fantasmic dessert party on Saturday too please :)

Oh me! Definitely.

I know, right? Before I moved the nearest one was 2 hours away, but there's one about 15 minutes from where we are now. I haven't gone yet, but it's definitely happening in the near future, especially since it's very near the movie theater.

Nope, that wasn't me, sorry. I'm rooming with pixiedustmom at HoJo's.

Sweet, you and I have a date for RSR! :) I love that ride! LOL
I was joking with my friend yesterday that I have to go to Reno to get PF Chang's because we eat there when we go.....we have 1 in Sac but I don't eat there much and when I do go to Sac we go places like Yard House, or there's the best sushi place ever that we love to go to. lol
I thought I was wrong when I said it might be you that needs a roomie.....LOL

Yay! I love the rides, so I am glad to hear that others do too! And i would definitely not expect everyone to be touring together. But that sure would be a sight to see!

Exactly!

I might take you up on that! There was someone else that was going to room with me if they couldn't get their sister to come, but not sure what's happening with that.

That was me asking about roomies!

I probably won't be able to attend the goodbye breakfast either as I have to be at the airport no later than 11am. That's ok. I am just excited that I am going to be able to go!

:thumbsup2 I knew someone had. LOL

On rides......how many peeps in your party? 40. LOL.

Woot! Diva party at the Hojos!! :cool1: I fully expect to see lots of door signs, ladies. Now that we are all back in one place (more or less), it's fun to walk around and know who's where. :thumbsup2

Oh....and what do we put on these signs?? I haven't heard of this yet. :)

I have an annual pass question! If I have my 3 day park hopper for the trip and I want to upgrade to a Premium (can't afford deluxe) Annual Pass, do I do it on my first day or last day. And do I understand correctly that they take the money you paid for the park hopper off the price of the annual pass?

I think you have that backwards, Deluxe is the cheaper one, Premium is the most expensive. If you don't have any blackout days upgrade on your first day, or after you use the EE, if you have blackout days upgrade on the blackout day and you don't have to pay the blackout pass fee. :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I thought I was the only one who called it the Wheel of Death!!!

Oh no.....that's my affectionate nickname for the ride from Hell as well.......::yes:::rotfl:

Get some pj's with cowboy boots on them. ;) Get a cowboy hat (I see them all over for cheap, especially now with Halloween coming) and put it with overalls or a denim skirt and any shirt. I bet you could find those things at the thrift store. :)

Wave hi back :) I knew you would remember me. Glad to be seeing you again :)

Oh catching up fast so Sign me up for the tour on Thursday, and the Fantasmic dessert party on Saturday too please :)

Did I say I was interested in F! seating? I can't remember......lol

No tour. Would rather do Fantasmic dessert. Well would like to do both but a little thing called money is stopping me from that.
I understand. Everything adds up fast!

Stacie, not Stace... just something that bugs me, nothing personal, Beth.
LOL I don't know why I did that. Typing too fast or perhaps blurry eyes from too much time in front of the screen. I fixed it.
Note to self: If I want to piss off Stacie, call her Stace. :rolleyes1

Or was I the Irish Mafia last year?

Same threatening manner, different year. :littleangel:
Yes, the Irish mafia! Going all gangsta. :thumbsup2

Already signed up, but wondering about what to wear. I have no western wear. Is it redneck to wear silly pajama pants out in public as though that counted as being dressed, or am I just showing my age???
I think that's redneck-ish. I am probably going to wear a housecoat over a pants, with curlers in my hair, a baby (doll) on my hip, a cigarette in my mouth and a beer in my hand. ;)

It's a Redneck Hoe Down, so I guess you could go for either the trailer trash look or for a more western/cowboy look. Either would suffice.

Yes I do remember you :) Yup it was the first year. Could not make it back until now. Ready to jump back in though I did lurk at the post for years lol :)
Yay! Glad to have you back.

Oh....and what do we put on these signs?? I haven't heard of this yet. :)

Whatever you want. I'll see if I can find some pics from years past to show you. Basically it just has the roomies names on it in some fun way.

Funny thing is, it doesn't bother me to be called that, only if it's spelled wrong! Like Stacy, Stacey, Staci ...

OK, I wasn't going to start taking sign-ups for the Fantasmic Dessert Seating just yet, but since a couple of you mentioned it, what the heck. Might as well. ;)

If you are interested, let me know. I'll get a list going on the front page.

So far I believe I have:
Trudi
Ruth
Kerri
Cindy
Jen

Oh dear, what a wrinkle. Hmmm...oh that is totally okay, who says we cannot wear our TIARAS for other photo op occassions?

AmySue, as DIVAS I think it's kind of expected that we wear tiaras for every photo op, yes????

Oooh, I really want to do the BBQ too this trip!

Would so love to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, but would definitely need a roomie or two there!

We just stayed at the DLH and it was great, but holy Hannah is that a loooooong walk!

Would you wear a TIARA for this one...hmmmmm?

Heck yes princess:

It's DISNEYLAND. You can wear your tiara EVERYWHERE, 24/7, right?. RIGHT! So you just rest your pretty little tiara adorned head! LOL!

::yes::

Of course she is. Everyone is. :rolleyes1 :stir:

You heard it folks, EVERYONE is wearing a tiara!

ME! Probably Thursday...

Do it Thursday with me!!!!

I always wear one for the Princess photo! I can't wear one all day - I have to wear a ballcap to keep the sunburn at bay. Yes, even in February. LOL I have, however, looked at the option of sewing one onto my ballcap.....

I got the cutest pink ball cap with a shiny tiara printed on it on our last trip - best of both worlds!

For those of us interested in going to Newport Beach, we need to find someplace fun to eat, too! I am not that familiar with the area though...

I'm so looking forward to this. Can't wait!

I probably won't be able to attend the goodbye breakfast either as I have to be at the airport no later than 11am. That's ok. I am just excited that I am going to be able to go!

What airport are you leaving from?

Crap. I'm so in trouble.

Hey Beth, put "Beer for Breakfast" on the schedule for the same morning as the Princess/tiara photo.

Yes you are and sounds like a good brekkie!

On rides......how many peeps in your party? 40. LOL.

We've done it before on Pirates. We just fit on one boat :crowded:

Woot! Diva party at the Hojos!! :cool1: I fully expect to see lots of door signs, ladies. Now that we are all back in one place (more or less), it's fun to walk around and know who's where. :thumbsup2

You bring the sign, I'll bring the glitter!

Can we use toilet paper and clothespins? :upsidedow

Works with the theme....

Oh, and I don't wear tiaras...

........except this time!

Very true. I'll think about it. Do you guys take much time out for rides? Not that I need to do many. But I need at least one ride on Space Mountain, Pirates, and ToT!

Dinner on Wednesday is a no go for me as my flight gets in at 9pm.

Also need to figure out hotel still. Just so I know how much money to have saved. I have that room at the HoJo booked still but will need one or two roomies to afford it! Would so love to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, but would definitely need a roomie or two there!

I need roommates. I have a AP pass if that helps. I just got it since I was just in California for a Disney cruise :) I would be willing to stay either place. Though I think 3 would be needed for DLH at least to make it more affordable. I love rides too :) Oh I use a power wheelchair so accessible would be better though I can walk just not long distances. It would mean a bigger room which would be great for more room for everyone.

!

I do like to go on the rides, which is why I often miss out on group meals/photo ops. You just can't do every thing every trip, ya know.

The only question about the princess photo is IF we can do one. With the closing of PFF and the princesses moving to the new area to the left of the castle, who knows if the new area will be open yet or if it will have a photo op suitable for a large group like PFF.

If the princesses are still where they are now, I'm thinking it would be close to impossible to take a group shot with them.

DisneyStitch626 said:
Well what about doing a Castle photo instead of the princess one (its still kind of princess-y with it being sleeping beauty's and all) and doing the other photo in DCA, if the princess one is not possible.

Yes!

Shhhhh, don't tell anybody, but I've never worn a tiara on one of these trips.

Wow, that was some multi-quote, Theresa. Complete with ...'s and everything. Nice. :thumbsup2

Um, okay, so I'm bored. Ruben's bringing home dinner, so no cooking for me tonight, soooo, I played with the schedule a bit more. Everyone, tell me what you think. Disclaimer: It's NOT set in stone. This is just me playing around, not trying to plan the entire trip all by my lonesome, so no one panic if you hate it. ;)

Wednesday, February 27:
Arrivals at various times throughout the day and evening
Lunch: Rancho Del Zocalo (you don't have to eat the food here if you don't like Mexican, but as Angie said it's a good first meeting spot and you can bring to-go items over from other restaurants)

Dinner: Two choices tonight. Cheesecake Factory for those who want to walk to Garden Walk. And House of Blues for those who want to stay on Disney property. We've had multiple options before and with such a large group, it almost works out better. Both places have fairly extensive menus too, so lots of food options.

Thursday, February 28:
Breakfast: Plaza Inn character meal? (assuming we can get in early enough to be done before 9:15 for the tour)
Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour @ 9:30
Lunch: Carnation Cafe?
5:30 p.m. - Meet and Greet Party @ Carousel Hotel (includes dinner)

Friday, March 1:
Breakfast: on your own before photo/hunt
Group photo in DCA (either at the fountain or in front of Mickey Wheel)
Scavenger Hunt
Lunch: To be determined based on where the hunt ends
Dinner: Again, two choices tonight. Carthay Circle for those who want to do "fancy" or the Big Thunder BBQ for those who want to use their fingers! lol

Saturday, March 2: (grey shirt)
*Optional off-site day at Newport Beach for those interested*
Breakfast: Riverbelle Terrace? Something quick and easy before the photo or tour.
Traditional Tiara/Princess photo, (if not available, tiara photo in front of castle),followed by group ride on It's a Small World
2nd Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour @ 9:30
Lunch: hmmm....not sure??
Dinner: Cafe Orleans? (those not wanting to fill up before the dessert seating can order pomme frites and/or soup, plus it's close to Fantasmic)
Fantasmic dessert seating (Time TBD)

Sunday, March 3: (your favorite Disney shirt)
Last day of the trip
Group farewell breakfast @ Mimi's Cafe

I don't know. I was just playing, like I said. There are so many choices, and not enough time! :rotfl:

Please sign my mom and I up for this.
You got it. :thumbsup2

I do like to go on the rides, which is why I often miss out on group meals/photo ops. You just can't do every thing every trip, ya know.

Between the meals, the activities, the hotel room meets, drinks at Trader Sam's, etc. I rarely go on rides during these trips! LOL

If the princesses are still where they are now, I'm thinking it would be close to impossible to take a group shot with them.

Nooo! Don't say that. :( Where are they now?

Shhhhh, don't tell anybody, but I've never worn a tiara on one of these trips.

I'm telling AmySue! :scared1:
