Thanks Lisa! I will keep this in mind for getting to and from the airport! I would assume it's cheaper than taking a taxi. But I will check out those prices too.

If you have at least 3 people, taxi is a better option. I usually fly solo, so for me, it's supershuttle. With the discount, it's under $20 round trip, including tip. Cab is $40-something each way plus tip.

Happy Labor Day, Divas! We have NOTHING planned today. Which is good because I ended up being up too late last night and then couldn't fall asleep. Why, you ask? Well, being fellow Disney addicts, I know you will all feel my pain, so allow me to share my "First World Problem" with y'all.... *snort*

So, I've got ONE PIECE of my WDW trip that I've been waiting on. It's a reservation for the Wishes Dessert Party. Tomorrow is when we have been expecting November to be available. There's a group of us that have been stalking, um I mean CHECKING, the reservation system several times a day. I normally check once when I first get the computer online for the day, once in the middle of the day sometime and then once before I shut down at night. Apparently, they opened November yesterday. :scared1: About 15 minutes after I had checked. :scared1: My "instant email notification" on the DIS forums is apparently not working either because I didn't get any emails until around 9:30PM and didn't see them until 11PM. Of course, the date I wanted is full. Ugh. Missed it by 15 freakin minutes. SO not happy.

I picked up bookings on the other 2 days I'm in Magic Kingdom. One is during the Mickey Christmas Party. The other is after my Be Our Guest dinner. Y'all remember what a fiasco it was to get THAT. I'm just not sure there will be enough time to enjoy both. The desserts at BoG don't interest me much, so that wouldn't be a problem, but my reservation is at 6:10 and I imagine I probably won't be seated until at LEAST 6:30 or 6:45. The Wishes dessert is over in Tomorrowland, half way across the park and I need to be there between 8:30 and 8:45. After what I went thru to get the BoG reservation, I want to make sure I enjoy my time there and don't want to feel like I have to rush. But I also REALLY don't want to spend MVMCP time since the stuff I plan to do then is stuff that's only offered during that time - Photo ops with characters not available during the regular park hours and such. Ugh.

I know, First World problem. LOL I have posted my dilemma on a couple forums for feedback and advice (all of which is welcome!). I have until Thanksgiving Day to cancel the first reservation and until the 25th of November to cancel the second one. Just need to figure out which one to keep and which one to cancel. *sigh*

I would keep the BoG ressie Then maybe just go get a spot in front of castle by Walt statue for wishes?

Good late morning everyone. :). Another one that was up late last nite. Getting ready to have late lunch/early dinner before work. Yes work. Ugh. But I get triple time today. :).

It's no longer a problem! :cool1:

Went back to the thread of Wishes Party stalkers and saw that someone posted a little over an hour after me last night that they got the date I wanted for a party of 5. :scared1: So I log back into WDW and try and make a reservation. Party of 1 - nope. Party of 2 - nope. Party of 3 - SUCCESS! So I called Disney Dining. The CM said his system showed there was NO PARTY AT ALL that night. Hm. Told him I was looking at an available ressie for a party of 3 and if I booked it, could he modify it to 1 (since this is a pre-paid event). He said yes and stayed on the phone while I finished the booking. Gave him the confirmation number and SHA-ZAM! Wishes Dessert Party, Nov 28th at 7:20 for a party of 1! DONE! Hunter at Disney Dining is my HERO!

I knew one of you would go there. :rotfl2:

That's what my husband thinks when I walk in the door..... :rolleyes1
:lmao:

While I don't have any wonderful words of wisdom for you, this just makes me chuckle at just how complicated planning for WDW can be. I was telling stories like this to my Aunt in Michigan. She likes Disney and has been to WDW a few times, but they just wing it. She couldn't believe people actually wake up so early to make reservations for meals and activities 6 months away. LOL! She just doesn't get it.
Anyway, good luck!! I hope you get it all figured out. :wizard:

No booking for a party of 1, but booking for 3, then canceling down to 1?? Makes sense to me! :rotfl2:
In any case, glad it all worked out. Yay for you!! And hooray for Hunter being so awesome.

Glad you have it all worked out! Only WDW dining. LOL. And just think. I am considering going to WDW next summer. Self torture. No 6am for dining ressies but 3am for PST time. I think Hawaii is looking better. LOL.

Girls, I asked my mom a couple of days ago if she would be interested in making this trip with me. She immediately said no, which didn't surprise me in the least. HOWEVER, after talking it up a little more, she said it sounds fun and she MIGHT wanna come! Woo hoo! She has never been to Disneyland without little kids (either us or her grandkids) in tow! Keep your fingers crossed! I even showed her Mel's blinged hot pink tshirt from last year and she admitted it was "cute"... which is pretty incredible coming from her!!!!

HEY! I just thought of something (seeing Rochelle's pix on FB) - I know one off park property trip I'd be VERY interested in doing.... the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store in Hollywood! It's still DISNEY, but you don't need a ticket. Thoughts?

I keep forgetting to ask, when are you going in October? We'll be there Oct. 12-15.

Marty and I may drive down that weekend. We'll be there this weekend, so we'll make our final decision after that.

Hey! I'm going to be there that weekend!! Dave and I are coming with our best friends. We are bringing the oldest grandkids along this time, so we can pretty much go on any ride, without any swapping.

Then would you believe that some of our other children are coming along that same weekend. It is so confusing, and too much to try and explain. We are all staying in different places, on different schedules and so on. Our friends and I had this planned out forever, and all of the sudden the others want to go to DL too. What can I say? I raised DL nuts also, and my DD Becky will even have her month old baby along. Anywhos, it was the only weekend that they could work out, so now they are tagging along too. LOL!! But we will barely see them. They are even taking our younger grandchildren to the party Friday night, but us old folks are going to enjoy the DL pool with the older grandkids. So you ask, why aren't you going to the party with them? Cuz that will be the only time the other grandkids can enjoy the pool, and we want them in bed early, so we can hit DCA first thing in the morning, to get Fastpasses and so on. It's really crazy, and if you knew half of the logistics of all of this, you would be sooooooooo confuzzled!

My whole life is crazy. Busy crazy. :upsidedow

This week I'm having some female surgery stuff. :headache:
Next week, Becky is having her baby on Wednesday,:goodvibes and that same evening we are taking Kaitlyn to the airport for Australia and she won't be back home until March. :sad2:
Two very emotional events on one day. And who knows what my hormone level is going to be after my surgery. I am going to be one big blubbering mess. And those of you who know me, know that I cry quite easily already.:sad::sad:
A week later I get to look forward to Vegas and hopefully see Beth and anyone else who wants too, if it works out. A week later then it is off to DL.

Next month DL again, off to Oregon to see my sis, back home to give a masquerade party, next day back up north for Dave's class reunion.

At least I have things to keep me busy, so I will not be missing Kaitlyn too much. At least that is what I am hoping will happen. :thumbsup2

Ok enough about me. :guilty:

Carry on...............

It's too bad your life is so boring, Mel.

I am so excited to finally see all the changes to DCA this weekend! That is all.

Hello Ladies!

I haven't posted in awhile, but reading through it looks like we have a lot of ladies going to DL in October. With the info I gathered on FB plus what I see here, I came up with a list and would like to get dates as well, so even if we don't have an organized meet we can still see who is there that we may know. This is what I have so far, so please post any corrections or additions:

Carol/Lisa 10/13-20 Hojo
Capri ? HoJo
LisaCat 10/19-20 HoJo
Jane 10/18-21
Linda/Cheryl 10/20
Stacie 10/12-15
Karisa 10/14-16
Mel ?
Beth (maybe)

Mine is right as far as park dates, although I expect to be in anaheim the evening of the 13th and leave the morning of the 17th. My family will all be with me so I am not sure how patient they will be, but I would LOVE to meet up at least briefly with some of you if possible!

Wondering... since i am planning on upgrading to an AP during this trip, if I should go into the park(s) Saturday night (using the first day of my parkhopper to do so) and potentially meet up with some of you (leaving my poor children at the hotel with grandma and grandpa lol) and then upgrade to the AP that night???? So many things to think about.....:confused3

Forgot to add, we will be trying out the Anaheim Plaza Hotel.
