I couldn't speak. I was quite flabbergasted. Until I saw what he needed. It has taken me longer to tell you about it, than it did to complete the job.

He just came back in with a stack of stuff. I asked him when he needed them by and he responded ASAP. I politely told him I was leaving at 12:30 and would do my best to finish as much of it as I could.

I guess somebody didn't read his e-mail. Perhaps I did it for my own health/benefit.

Applauds for being a team player this morning. As for the other request, I am right there with you today. Everyone in my office knows I won't be here yet it's not stopping them for sending me meeting invites and such and then getting upset when I decline..

<======== is all checked in, boarding passes in hand (used rewards to upgrade to Business class), suitcase is packed, credentials are in the carry-on, driveway is plowed, deck and porch are cleared, kids are having a fantastic snowday. Whew!!!! Now I get to sit and wait for 16 hours before we head to the airport.

Ugh. Hi all. Today has totally sucked so far. The new emotionally disturbed student I have was unbearable and needed to be removed. I spent much of the morning with her, the school pyschologist, and vp. I just feel so defeated. I tried my best to control her but today was definitely a bad day for her. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Safe travels to BDL tomorrow morning. The weather is much better here. I love your part of the country but I sure don't miss the snow.

I don't like the snow either. Someday I will live further south. I don't know when but I am planning on it.

Sorry you had to deal with this. I had all the troubled kids when I did my MS internship for nursing at the elementary school by my house. It was so sad and stressful dealing with not only the kiddos but the parents. Hang in there. See you soon!

aww- Nikki- don't beat yourself up over it. Like you said- you tried your best and that it was a bad day for her. She's lucky to have you as a teacher.

The transition to a new class is hard on most kids and especially for this one. I hope things settle down as time goes on.

I think the worst of it is over here, the snow is done, but we are in a sheltered area and I won't know how badly it is blowing and drifting until we head out for DS8's dr appt this afternoon. I have no idea how much snow we got, it's blowing around so much, but we had to go out the garage and shovel off the porch to be able to open the front door

The transition to a new class is hard on most kids and especially for this one. I hope things settle down as time goes on.

Echoing that transitions/changes/new things are always hard. I am sure it will settle down over time, think about successes in small steps.

So, you remember the shirts that I made? Well, I was debating washing them or not. I'd washed them before I ironed the stuff on. The instructions say to wash before wearing so that the ink won't run. So, I washed my shirts and sweatshirt. And now around all my images is a huge white background. It looks like crap. I don't have time to re-do them

What was I thinking, actually following the instructions?!

I don't find it any hotter here in the summer than it was up North where I lived. At least here I have a/c. A little heat in the summer beats a cold winter day anytime!
