I am not really being productive today - just puttering.

I get to leave in 3.25 hours - but not for home:sad1:

Once I get this attorney appointment out of the way, I hope my spirits lift.

That was about the most "fashionable" paper that I had that didn't have glitter all over it...LOL

OMG - :scared1:

What happened Anna??

Sorry I did not answer sooner. Kat covered it pretty much. I was up waiting to see if the plane would land. They circled the airport for an hour. They have 5 minutes to spare before having to go back to Denver last night. I really lucked out!

Anna lives in Aspen, and it has been snowing there for days.
However it's the fact that the planes have no visablity and have had trouble landing. :scared1:
We were really scared she was not going to make it!
However this are looking at least a little better right now.
I am posting this b/c Anna is on her way to the airport.
I will feel alot better once I know she is on her way. :)

That covers it! Thanks Katherine! I can't wait to see you!

Well, in spite of the bad weather, I'm on my way. They deiced the plane twice but my flight took off on time from the Quad Cities Airport and right now, I'm probably somewhere over Tennessee. Looks like I'll get into Atlanta on time - now I'm just hoping that my connecting flight has not been delayed.

Get this...because of the horrid weather, the majority of the folks booked on my flight either rebooked or cancelled. There are 18 people total on the plane (including crew). I have the entire bulkhead row all to myself!

See you all at DAP!

Good Luck!!!

:yay: I'm glad things are looking better!!

Morning!! Last day of work and then PARTAY!!! :woohoo:

Thanks Shelly! See you later.

The storm should clear out by late this afternoon. I figure that will give the airport plenty of time to clear the ice and snow. We depart at 0630.

Good Luck tonight!

Morning all who joined after I logged out from home.

PD to everyone who is dealing with bad weather. I think we got really lucky. We had enough snow last night to get the snow plows out on the road but it turned to rain early this morning and the temperature has gone up so we just have a slushy mess. They are now saying that today is going to end up being a nice day after the rain completely moves on - 50's. My daughter in Virginia Beach has 70's this morning. So here is hoping to all the east coasters that the warm front just continues moving northward.

I will be around to keep people company today as we work/play through this last day before DAP.

I'm glad your weather isn't that bad.

For those flying in for DAP today. The weather here in Orlando this morning is partly to mostly cloudy, the high today is 84 degrees, winds are light.

Safe travels to all of you. :)

I can't wait to thaw out. See you later Aaron.

I am starting to pack my suitcase, make my list for my trip to Walmart, Check in for my flight at 11:30, then I have to go to my Holiday Party Lunch for work. After Lunch, I am northward bound to Indianapolis.

Woo Hoo!!!
:cool1:

Have a safe drive tonight and a safe flight tomorrow!

Well gotta get myself away from the laptop and get ready for work

Also have to get 2 cats and 2 dogs all packed and in the car for their "vacation" at the kennel. Plus one cat is on insulin and now one dog has a hot spot and is on anti-biotics. The joys of pet parenthood abound :)

I'll be checking in while at work today and updating weather forcasts for those traveling from this area. Also, looking for the new podcast :surfweb:

Good Luck with the weather! This is so stressful for so many of us!

My pups knew something was going on. They were extra lovey this morning. Extra snuggles and kisses. I will miss them. Probably more than DP.:confused3

Buddy wouldn't even sleep in my room with me last night. He was not happy that I am leaving.

All checked in for my EARLY morning flight tomorrow morning on AirTran, with an A+ Rewards upgrade to business class! :woohoo: (I'm a not-so-good flyer and any little perk helps, like extra attention, that OJ before the flight, etc. Especially if the ride is bumpy at all.)

The high wind warning is set to expire at 1:00 a.m. tomorrow, which should mean things will be clearer for that 7:00 a.m. flight. (Fingers crossed.)

Fingers crossed!

Don't forget to pack out credentials!!!! :thumbsup2

I have few more things to do and then I am hitting the highway. See everybody REALLY soon!!!!! :yay:

Have a safe drive Tonya!

Just checked into my flight for tomorrow:cool1:

:cool1: :cool1:
Morning all. Been a pretty hectic morning here. My daughter is having car trouble with "both" vehicles this week. I had to go out this morning, get her 30 miles away to bring to work. Then I get home and have a 2ft wall of snow to smash through to get in the driveway. Still snowing at a good clip and I'd say there are 8" of snow in the driveway right now that will need removal before it turns to rain. That and I'm also working today. :headache:

Hope Anna gets to Denver ok and everyone else has a safe trip. The good thing is this mess is gone late afternoon so shouldn't impact out flight tomorrow. 0700 can't get here quick enough. :yay:

Sorry to hear this Paul. I bet it feels a whole lot better at 0630 tomorrow. :)

Thanks George! I got here Ok. It is -17 here in Denver, but it is sunny!

Oh, and SWA checking this morning got A38 & A40. :dance3: Early Bird check-in my a......... ;)

Have a safe flight tomorrow!

For airport info you can go to www.FAA.gov.

Of course you should also check with your airline.

Same here George, except I'm at work until 5pm. Probably about an hour + with the snowblower when I get home. Logan Express early tomorrow since my limo driver has other responsibilities. See ya around the campus!

Hi ya Bill. :wave2:

Still snowing pretty good here in Leominster. Tara would call this the city next to Fitchminsterburg. :lmao:

Deb set us a curfew of 7PM in bed tonight. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: We are up at 3am tomorrow.

Ya right! :headache: My plan is too take about 2 hours around 12:30 or so for shoveling. That should be about and hour before I expect the rain to start. Hopefully that is short lived. My guess is by 3 or 4PM it should be dry here. At lease from the sky. Ground will be a sloppy mess.

Anne, I'm sending some serious good vibes up to you :goodvibes:goodvibes

For everyone thinking of moving to Florida b/c of the snow you are getting, it is sunny and 32 degrees (F) here in good ol' Southeast Missouri!! :rotfl2:

SAFE TRAVELS FOR EVERYONE!!! See you all Saturday!

I would probably say the same thing but DH is coming with me :lmao::lmao:

I'm not sure if he was trying to be funny or what, but our repair department superintendent just came into my office claiming he was swamped and needed me to do drawing for him. (I leave in 60-75 minutes). :faint:

He needed a trapezoid drawn. No worries. Back on schedule.

Did you make it purple, lime green and orange for him?

The program he uses is monochromatic. So 70's.

I couldn't speak. I was quite flabbergasted. Until I saw what he needed. It has taken me longer to tell you about it, than it did to complete the job.

I am so glad it did not take you long but don't they know that we need color!

He just came back in with a stack of stuff. I asked him when he needed them by and he responded ASAP. I politely told him I was leaving at 12:30 and would do my best to finish as much of it as I could.

I guess somebody didn't read his e-mail. Perhaps I did it for my own health/benefit.:confused:

There is always at least one.

You can only do what you can do - you will be back next week.
