stenogoddess-Love the second layout. The use of the squares for paper and and interesting backdrop for the arrow and name is really nice!

strega7-Perfect colors...makes me feel the warmth. I really like the sun as the round journal box there!

interstitchal-I was hoping someone would use the small boxes just like you did. What a great picture!

krisi616-I love the colors you used. They brighten up the page!

hypermommy-Great pics and a good template (if I do say so myself) for getting them all in!

janis-Love the cool colors and the glitter frames to set off those super pics!

Hypermommy: I like the way you turned your little pictures, I think it looks really neat. Your layout is so sweet....my little guy is almost 9 and I can't believe how fast it goes. We went on the Ruins and Beach tour, so the ruins were actually on the island we docked on. I was being a bad scrapper and didn't write the name of the park we went to, and now I don't remember. They weren't as big as I have heard that Talum is. They were still neat to see, it was just really hot there, and our tour guide talked forever at each little place. My poor son was melting. We wouldn't do that excursion again, but we were happy we had the experience.

Janis The frames you put around your big picture look really good. Whoever took your pictures did a great job. I can never capture lights at night.

Krisi616 The little girl in your picture is absolutely adorable. You did a great job scrapping such a magical moment.

Interstitchal Yet another great way to use this template. I love how you got the castle to fit so perfectly in all the square. It is a very neat affect.

Thanks again Teri for the template....I am sure it will get a ton of use from me.

Here's mine for this week. I've been wanting to scrap these photos for a while, but nothing seemed right -- until this template. Thanks Terri.

Terri24601 - I love that background paper and the main photo with the words. That's great! Thank you for this wonderful template!

Stenogoddess - I love the way you used the black and white so effectively with the squares. Beautiful!
For the 2nd one - I love the way you draw attention to the photo. No one will miss him now!

Quiltymom - This layout is fantastic! I love the way that you captured walking down Main Street and all of the sights!!! I really like how that kit coordinates.

sconnell - That rose is so nice for the princess layout. I love how you replaced some of the squares. So soft!

susan326 - I love the way you wrapped those 2 photos and the date strip together! So perfect!

BriarRose 59 - The way that you placed the apple and apple cluster is fabulous! Love it!

strega7 - Love the title in the middle. That kit goes so well. I love it!

Krisi616 - Love the effect on that main photo and the placement of that Mickey button!

Hypermommy - The paperclips are fun and love the colors that brighten the page!

Janis - The stars and frames are so great. Really nice!

RRBB - Love the way that you used the frames and nice use of the sunburst paper!

Robin-That layout is awesome. So many neat things there...the out of bounds balloon in the main picture and the set of frames plus the b&w pic behind it are really nice!

Janis - love those pictures!!! Night pictures can be so hard to take but yours just look wonderful! And who could possibly be anything but uplifed by the Osborne lights? And I love the way your glitter frame looks like you've brought the lights out onto your page!

Marci - thanks! We were very lucky when we went to Tulum becuase our tour guide took pity on us gringos and found every little piece of shade he could whenever he stopped us to talk. It was definitely hot and I can totally agree that we would have been melting had Juan not done so.

Robin - your little guy is sooo adorable. Again, I love the breaking of the photo into the little squares. That's really a neat effect that I'm sure I'll be using soon. And marvelous extraction to get the balloon floating out of the frame onto the page! Almost makes me want to remind your little guy not to let go.

This was a fun one to do - this is one of our Disney memories that we laugh :rotfl2: about all the time (Kate would rather forget). I was having trouble with embellishments until I remembered that Britt's Motor Mania had some "speed items" and the license plates proved to be perfect! Love that you read our minds sometimes Britt :) This trip we took one of my great-nieces; it was fun to have a younger one at Disney.

Lauren Like the way you used the squares for papers - the black & white really shows off your photo and the theme, the second page is great too. What a way to show off how they spent their time.

Jan I'm going to have to take more pictures next time of the little things. Love all the windows.

Sunny Very pretty; love your picture arrangement.

Susan Haunted mansion is one of our favorites; so many details love how you've captured them.

BriarRose Love how you captured the display, very neat. I love the title and ribbon / cluster.

strega Love the colors; they make you feel the heat really neat title too.

interstitchal Love the way you split the photograph. Neat close ups of the castle.

krisi love how you resized and moved the template around. The pictures are great.

hypermommy I love the clock & ricrac. Really pull it together.

Janis Great pictures of the Osbourne lights. Love the frame and stars.

Robin Love the way you did your pictures! The girls asked why I didn't do layouts as cute and I told them they just weren't as cute as Ian ;)

I made it in time!! yipee!!!

Mrs.viv07 - Thank you so much!!!
One thing that I have learned so far with digiscrapping is that everyone is so nice and willing to share what they know!
One other thing that I have learned about photoshop is that there are multiple ways to do something similar - so this is how I did it.
I opened Terri's template and selected the boxes that I wanted to have as part of the larger photo by highlighting each one in the layers palette while holding the CONTROL button to select more than one.
Then I merged those layers into one by pressing CONTROL + E or Layer > Merge Layers.
Finally, I clipped my large photo to the layer with multiple smaller boxes on it. With the photo on top of the newly merged layer, I put my cursor over the line between the 2 layers in the layers palette and ALT-left click.
That's it! I can't think of any specific tutorials - but do a search and see if there is anything out there. I think I made it sound confusing so please ask again if you can't get it to work or for clarification.

Here is mine. I also altered the template a bit.

Thanks for the fun challenge! :) The template was awesome! I will definitely use it again.
