Well I am due to weigh in tonight but because of the snow I doubt I will, it's almost an hours round trip as I pick my mum up en route.

Luckily I had weighed in on my scales at home a few days before christmas & i've just got back on them, it appears I have put on 2lbs. Which I am not too disappointed with as I have been totally off it for 2 weeks over christmas. Hopefully I can shift that by next week. :thumbsup2

ok, just weighed myself on wii fit and i have lost 9lb since wednesday :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I dont think i will get to my meeting tonight either Claire ;)

Ooh, that's convenient ;) :lmao:

My scales appear to be broken at the moment (no jokes about how they got broken please :rotfl:) so I couldn't do my official weigh in today so will take Monday's weight as my starting weight.

Oh Libby, I know exactly how you feel. I did a fair bit of damage over Christmas too

Still, hopefully you're back into the routine now and it will come off fairly quickly for you :goodvibes

Hi everyone! I would like to join too. I am on a diet that I started just before Christmas, like a fool, but I have managed to lose 7 pounds. I will be weighing in on Wed's. My diet is simple. It's three 300 calorie meals a day with two 100 caloire snacks and 30 minutes of walking. Most days it has been easy, except for the walking part. It's to cold to get out so I bought a wii fit to try to help me until it warms back up.

That sounds really straightforward and simple and easy to follow ... I should try that one myself.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: well done!

Is it just me or is anyone else struggling eating diet food in this freezing weather .... I am just wanting to eat warm comforting foods and not fruit, salad and yougurt as in the summer. Although veggie soup is a good option it is getting a bit boring. Anyone got any recipes for low-calorie winter type food?

i know what you mean Sarah, ive been sticking with the soup option as well ;)

Well, I went to weigh in today and I should have waited a day or two I guess because I only lost 1 pound. :headache: My scale said two pounds but I don't know.

I think my problem is that while I am eating low in fat, there are lots of carbs in some of the things that I eat like yogert, cereal bars & things like that. I am going lean from today on and eating more protien. I think this will help me a bunch.

Also, I have a great weight watchers dish if anyone would like it. It's called Greek Spaghetti and it's really good & low in fat.

you will need the following items:

1 pack of boneless chicken breast
1 onion (chopped)
1 bellpepper (chopped)
1 can of Rotel ( or diced tomatoes)

1 small can of chopped black olives
1 small can of water cheastnuts (chopped or not, your choice)
1 jar of mushrooms (chopped or not, your choice)

2 table spoons of Greek seasoning (I use just a little more)
1 pack of angel hair pasta
2 cups of chedder cheese (or your favorite cheese, sometimes I use a blended cheese)

Boil your chicken until done. Save one cup of chicken broth & set a side. Remove chicken to cool & add your pasta to the pot and cook it until done.

While your pasta is cooking, in a skillet cook your Rotel, onions & bellpepper until tender.

In a very large bowl, add your waterchestnuts, mushrooms & black olives & mix with spoon. Once your onions & bellpepper & rotel mixture is done, add to this bowl.

Chop your chicken and add to the large bowl.

After the pasta is done, drain & add to the big bowl. Stir in your Greek Seasoning slowly as you stir everything together. Add your cup of chicken broth to this and mix well.

In a large dish, pour mixture in and smooth out. Add your cheese to the top and bake on 350 for 45 minutes.

This makes A LOT, and is even better the next day. It's very low in fat. :)

sounds very nice .... but I would have to leave out the tomato and the olives .... might give this one a try.

thanks for the recipe Carla :thumbsup2

You are so welcome. :)

I think that you could do this and it would be fine. I would just add a little more greek seansoning. It calls for all of that to be chopped but it takes so long, plus my kids hate mushrooms & water chestnuts so I don't chop them anymore so that they can pick them out easy. I have to tell ya, the first time I made this I messed up every dish in my kitchen. Now I do it just like I wrote above & it's a lot easier.

I was so determined to lose it I even brought some scan brans - yuk!!! what weirdo decided to put cardboard in a wrapper and sell it :lmao:
