I have actually lost some weight! I know it will get more difficult but I'm determined. I've worked out that if I lose 1lb a week, I will be at my goal weight for my holiday in August.:)

Hello everyone. Hope you don't mind if I jump in on this. I, too, am on the WW train. I lose one week and gain the next. I had 1/2 of my thyroid removed in September, and have been on a roller coaster since. They are still playing with my medicine UGH! Anyway, stick with it it will work out. And if you only lose 1lb a week that's 52 lbs a year. Not too shabby. Hopefully I will get my meds right and start downward again! I'm working out 4 days a week just to maintain. Except for this week, because I'm going home to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Hopefully I can stick within my points for the weekend.:rotfl:

Welcome and good luck :)

Here's the thing - I weighed myself yesterday evening and was dee-lighted to discover I'd lost 2lbs this week!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Fab, I thought to myself, only 5lbs to go!!! :yay:

But this morning's my real weigh-in so I stepped on the scales only to find that I'd put those flippin' 2lbs back on!!! What the....??????????????? :confused3  :faint:

So, for my sanity, I'm going to take last night's result as the one true weigh-in... ;)

It's called creative weighing mate ;)

Well done to everyone who's lost or STS this week:cool1:

I've another 1.5 lb off this week, slow & steady wins the race, or so I tell myself:rotfl2:

Good luck all for next weekpixiedust:

Well done :thumbsup2

Welcome and good luck:)

Well done.

I went to the gym this afternoon and weighed myself, I havent weighed since 1st Feb and despite being quite housebound and pretty inactive, I'm pleased to report that I've lost 1lb. Considering I've nibbled at the odd garibaldi and fig roll I'm quite pleased with that:thumbsup2

Good luck everybody:)

well done Joanne :)

Really well done Tracy, I ate loads of polos when I stopped smoking too. I agree that it is hard to find things to replace the cigarettes. I think if you can maintain at the moment then you are doing well :thumbsup2

 Well done on STS

:yay: Well done to everyone who lost or STS last week

:wizard: Good Luck with your weigh-ins this week guys :wizard:

2lbs this week, very pleased with my steady loss. Nightshift last week so avoided take aways and late night trips to the vending machines. Tonight is treat night so will be visiting the local Chinese take away and enjoying a few beers with it. Tomorrow it will all start again, good luck for all those still to weigh in and congrats to those who manage to stick with their diet plans, it is far from easy.

steve

thats great steve :thumbsup2 DH used to really struggle with his eating patterns when he worked the night shift.

I haven't been able to keep up with the thread for the last couple of days, as some of you know youngest DD has broken her leg quite badly and as I weigh myself at the gym on a monday morning that isn't going to be happenening for at least six weeks so I doubt I'll be able to post my weight regularly.
She is still in quite a lot of pain and I am sleep deprived but determined not to turn to food especially as I am now quite house bound.

Hope your DD is well on the mend Joanne:hug:

Thank you all for your kind wishes, I'm finally back on an even keel and ready to get back to losing weight. I have lost 6lb over the last 2 weeks.

Well done to everyone, you are all doing so well:thumbsup2

Sorry late again. My weigh in was Saturday and I lost 1lb.

So frustrating as my sister and I started together and I've lost 10.5lbs and she's lost 9.5lbs. She's already dropped a dress size - me nothing! :confused3
At my slimest about 15 years ago I was a stone lighter than I am now and was still the same dress size! Not one person has noticed I've lost weight - except DH as he see's me without clothes :rolleyes1 so he can tell.

My Dad commented at the weekend how well my sister was doing and looked really good - I haven't really mentioned I'm doing WW. He certainly didn't mean anything by it and would be heart broken if he thought he'd upset me but I always get "you alway look the same - tall and slim" but come on folks 10.5lbs!! It's go to have gone from somewhere! :headache:

I suppose I can't have it both ways - when I gained the 10.5lbs nobody said "you've put weight on" - being tall does have it's advantages -but believe me not many as far as I've ever seen!

P.S. If my daughter ever reads this - age 7 wearing age 9-10 length trousers - being tall is fantastic! :rotfl:

Anyway - back On thread - well done everyone - as usual fantastic weight losses. :thumbsup2

I know what you mean Joh, my pancake intake tomorrow will depend on how my weigh in goes in the morning. :lmao:

Well done Tracy, doing both together is incredibly hard so even if you have a gain don't be too hard on yourself as loosing a few extra pounds will be easy in comparison to stopping smoking. STS this week is fab! :worship:

Try not to get disheartened, you are probably losing a bit all over whereas your sister may have lost from one area which will make it more visable. Well done on 10.5lbs!

Good luck everyone for the week ahead. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
