I've just weighed-in and I have STS

I won't be holding out much hope to lose or even STS next week, as we're off to Wales for a boozy weekend, it's going to be great fun though ::yes::

Well done Mandy. Have a fab weekend. :goodvibes

It's been a while since I posted, work and holidays getting in the way. I am changing my weigh in day to Saturday as fits in better with work schedule. I have stayed the same, so still 13lbs and after been away this last week I am happy about it. I have started doing the Couch to 5k program to get out running so hopefully that should help with the weight loss. So diet and exercise here we come.
Good luck, Steve! I did the Couch to 5k thing a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it... :thumbsup2

I've managed to lose a pound, so not too bad considering that weight has been the last thing on my mind lately. I am back on the diet again now as I want to have lost 1 stone by the start of the summer holidays.:thumbsup2
Well done, Juliette... :goodvibes

I lost 3 and a half lb this week!!:banana::banana: We had a weekend entertaining my girlfriends parents as well, and I was very good by just having vodka and diet cokes instead of my usual sweet amber nectar! :) I'm chuffed to bits, as I've now lost 10lb in 3 weeks, and I'm 1lb off my 5% goal :cool1:
Awesome, Martin - you're doing brilliantly!!! :cool1:

I've had a stressful week but stuck to it (other than when I was in London with Karen last Thursday, where we had lots of Champagne ;) ), but I got weighed this morning & have lost 3lbs. :thumbsup2
Yes and didn't it taste lovely??!!! :cloud9: Fab result, hun!!! :woohoo:

Only 1.5lbs this week but better than nothing.
That's a great loss!!! :yay:

Darthtatty, my upcoming holiday is my motivation as well. I'll have Brad Pitt's body any day now :rotfl:

1lb off so reached my intital target :cool1:

Now I just need to figure out how to get my new target to show on the WW online graph? That bits harder than the diet.......:rotfl:

So 1/2 stone to go now.......

By the way - even after losing 19lbs nobody has noticed!! :confused3

Well as much as I hate to post it I have gained 2lbs this week. Not sure what has gone wrong this week. Let's look at the facts, joined the gym Tuesday and then went swimming. Went to the Gym Wed and Fri, out doing the first week of C25K on Saturday, Monday and Friday. Ate about what I normally do, watching my points on WW. I am putting it down to the muscle/fat weight difference and will see what happens next week. However I am not down hearted as I know I have been pretty good this week and exercise can only be a good thing so hopefully in the weeks ahead things will improve.

Can I please ask you wonderful people about your views on Slimming World. I'm calorie counting but not doing that well as im often hungry (especially after a bad day at work!!) I've read the website and it implies you can eat "free" foods as much as you want to (and sometimes free foods or really nice!!)

How much do you lose per week on average?

The trial menu on the website looks like too much food to me - so it dosn't make sense that it works! How does it work?

MfP

My sister always does well on Slimming world but I'm afraid she's a yo yo dieter and I personally don't feel that Slimming World tackles portion size or eating when not hungry issues.

Yes you can eat as much as you want of the free foods but that in itself means you can still overeat. My sister sees this as a green light to have mounds of rice/noodles pasta etc when on green days and it does seem to work. However, when she stops following the diet she stills like those huge portions and hence the weight gain. :confused3

However, with ALL diets some work better for some than others so it may work for you and I'm sure others on here who follow it will be along to advise.

Good luck :thumbsup2

Week three already :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hope you all have a good week, im afraid after this weekend im not weighing in this week ;)

I am sure you will soon see the benefits on the scales. Well done. :thumbsup2

I do the SW plan, I tried Weight Watchers & put on weight! :scared1:

The average weight loss according to my group leader is 2lbs per week. :thumbsup2

It has changed in the last year or so & rather than have just green days (which is pasta/rice/potatoes) or red days (meat/fish) you can now follow "extra easy" days which are basically a third of your plate meat or fish, a third pots/pasta/rice & a third of veg.

This is what I do as I find it easy to manage, no counting & weighing food. I find that when I have to count & measure all my food that I end up thinking about food all day long which drives me crazy, this way I don't have to.

Feel free to ask any more questions. :)
