Oh Joanne, I am SO sorry, hun. :hug: Steroids are not nice - well, certainly not from my experience and I really hope you don't have too many of the yukky side effects... :sad2: Fingers crossed you don't have to be on them for long - just take care of yourself and forget about trying to juggle fitness/weight loss right now. These drugs just wipe you out and it's important to cut yourself some slack. Hugs to you... xxxxxxx
 
:hug: Aww honey, you have been through the mill lately. I hope you won't have to be on the medication for too long, and that you don't put on too much weight because of it .. but you're right, the most important thing is for you to look after yourself and keep healthy

I am behind again on this thread. :sad2:

Ive been a bit busy recently the past few weeks and weight wise not doing well. Taken a bit of a back seat from all the weight loss sites and threads.
Still trying my best though but its not shifting, schools back monday so i can get back to my swimming and walking.

Good luck Nicky, I am sure you'll soon be back in the swing of it when the schools go back.


After chickening out of my weigh-in last week, and a boozy/chocolatey weekend, I am very happy to have STS. I will be pleased to have the girls back to college next week so I can get back to some exercise, and thank goodness most of the chocolate has gone, so back to healthier eating too

These last few pounds are refusing to shift:headache: Maybe need to up the exercise .........but why do something you don't enjoy:lmao:

I am sure you will get there hun but I agree it is disheartening when you've been really good & then STS. :hug:

I came out of my group on Tuesday wishing i'd eaten loads of Easter eggs as my mum & sister both lost & they had been really bad all week....I on the other hand STS even though I had been 100% on the diet & not had anything naughty. :mad: Oh well hopefully they will put on this week & i'll lose lots. :rotfl: ;)


After 10 amazingly fabulous days in Barbados :cloud9: I have to report that I've put on 3lbs!!! :thumbsup2

Considering all the eating and drinking (another rum punch, please) I did and the absence of any kind of exercise (unless you count walking to the beach :laughing: ), I'm more than happy with that and keen to get back on the weight watching wagon once more... :goodvibes

Not sure how my weight is going to be in the coming weeks as I have now been put on steriods, I have never ever taken steroids before and I must say I'm not happy to be doing so now. I seem to have some thyroid issues and am having tests to determine the problem. It may be something as simple as a side effect of some medication I have been on for the MM/tumor. My research shows me that I could either gain weight or lose weight (knowing me it will probably be the former!) and I could suffer from mood swings and problems sleeping - oh joy! Hopefully I won't have to be on them for too long and I've been told to pause the diet and exercise and take more rest! To be honest, I've decided to concentrate on getting better, and as I currently have a very swollen rash covered face it's all I can think about at the moment, I'm not going to eat myself silly as I don't have the appetite I used to have anyway but it's all low salt and sensible from now on.

Oh Joanne you poor thing. :hug: I hope you are feeling better soon & that you don't get any of the side effects from the steroids. :wizard:

As everyone else has said don't worry about your weight loss until your are 100% better, everything else can wait your health is more important than a few pounds. :hug: :flower3:

I lost my appetite over Easter, but unfortunately found an elephants. According to my home scales i put on 7lbs, yes you read that right 7lbs in 1 week:scared1::scared1: In my defence:rolleyes1, i have quite severe PCOS, so am quite sensitive to carbs, and I think I have shifted most of it this week but Tuesday's official weigh-in will be the moment of truth:eek:

I weighed myself Saturday, so going to take that as my new start weight. going shopping tomorrow for lots of lovely goodies, heres to me being an :littleangel:

Had a weird up and down week, not eating bad things just often eating really late because some cakes had me up til 5/6am so it kind threw off my schedule.

Will try harder his week :thumbsup2

Pretty happy with it, but was expecting a bigger loss like the first week. I guess slow and steady wins the race, and I'm still very happy that it's going in the right direction :)
