Dis-Con buddy stories

I want to hear all about what your DIS-Con buddy did for you or vise versa! Let's hear all about it! (I still haven't heard from mine since she told me she was heading to Orlando...Pumbaa/Jody seems to have vanished without a trace.)

Angie--I'm sure she hasnt forgotten about you. Prob just very busy with the holiday and all.
As for my 2 buddies, kteacher and mickey65, I haven sent their stuff out yet but I am working on it. Hopefully now that my 2 big boys are getting out of school for the holiday they can assist in the watching of the 2 little ones and I can get my stuff out.

FigmentVI was my buddy (and by association her daughters Holly Sydally and Meagan Autochick). I got a great package in the mail today with all kinds of neat goodies. Stationery, a nice note, park maps, info bulletins, a stuffed Figment (I LOVE HIM). But...the best part was the 'Flat Debster' Linda mailed me back about an 18'' Flat Debster that travelled with her. Apparently, The Flat Deb is quite the partyer, and really enjoys kareoke. Who knew????

Linda is also going to get some pics posted as well.

I didn't have a buddy, but Zurgswife carried Scuttle everywhere and I took a picture at the Illuminations party of him.....I heard rumors he was a party "animal" a couple of nights.

me too!!! I got everything debster mentioned (except i got a "flat von" not a "flat debster" ) I think i had a blast at wdw!!!!

YES THEY DID !!!!

Flat Debster and Flat Von were VERY good girls at 50's Prime Time. They didn't have to get up there and say "I'm a very baaaaaad girl" like their DISCON buddy did

All the buddies had a very good time. My 2 buddies will be receiving their packages soo. Angiebelle..Jody was very sick at WDW...she spent alot of time in the hotel room.

Some buddies were represented VERY creatively, some were represented quietly.

I got some stuff for my buddies Bfeller and Lucystorm but coming home to so much to do, holidays and a broken finger has not been fun, just the last couple of days I can do things normally but I'm soooooooooo behind......but I promise they will go out in the mail real soon!!!
BTW, they were represented very well, their button pic was on me everyday I was there except for the first day, with all the delays , trying to catch up with people , I did not check in till 10 pm that night into my hotel room , and right after checking in I went to Kimonos!!
But they sure had a lot of fun, hugged a lot of people , and they even played on a live show at the Animal Kingdom!!!

I was totally amazed at the many CREATIVE ways that DIS CONers represented their BUDDIES! Made me wish I had been smart enough to come up with those ideas too! The DIS CON buddies were very well represented at DIS CON - and it was fun to see the various ways everyone had come up with to do it!

I personally was one of the more "quiet" reps! I wore my two pins everywhere that had my two buddies pictures on it. They were on my fanny pack so they had a "view" of all of our adventures together! LOL! My two buddies were Rajah and Paras4ri.

Luckily, I made two buttons for each of my two buddies in case one was lost or ruined somehow. This came in handy because somewhere in my "horsing" around at WDW I lost the first one of Rajah. So I had to pull out "RAJAH #2" (or R2) for the remainder of the trip! I guarded it carefully because I intended to send these to my buddies at the end of the trip.

Seems that I was in the button losing mode while there.... towncrier made us all some beautiful pins with our user name on it... and I promptly had it come off and get lost within 2 days of receiving it. But.... Brisully made pins for everyone as well... and I got another one for "DixieDreamer" - so I had DixieDreamer #2 as well (or D2).

So altogether... I had another celebrity with me as well.... R2D2!!!!! LOL!

my buddy is tammyh-oergon. she sent me postcards just about everyday of DISCON...but i don't think she's through with me yet...she was on an extended trip there and just got home...can't wait to see what else she has in store for me!! but it does sound as if "I" had a great time!! according to one of my postcards...i was a little frightened on the haunted mansion...

My buddy was Oldkicker.

He called me several times from WDW and passed the phone around so that I could talk to some other DISsers. And he send me an e-mail postcard from EPCOT and a real postcard by mail. He also sent me a package with a keychain with a B on it (for Breezy), an Honorary Riddler pin, and Minnie and Mickey Christmas stockings.

I was well remembered.

Pixie Power represented me. I got a package a few days before she arrived. It said, "Do not open until 2:00 p.m. Orlando time on December 13" (I think that was the day) I had the hardest time not opening that package. When I finally got to open it, it contained a tiara and a package of tea. Emma was having tea at the Grand Floridian at the same time. She wrote a wonderful note that said to make a "cuppa" a join her in having tea. It was a great gift.

Wow- you guys are awesome! You went well beyond what I had in mind! I feel sorry for Jody getting sick on the trip. I was sick on my last trip too and can testify that it isn't fun.

Kelli, Beth (CrazyBoutDisney) also sent me a box for the tea. It had a Tinkerbell tiara, tea bags and chocolate covered butter biscuits. I also was instructed to "join in a cup of tea" at that specific time.

She also sent a postcard.

And, she took "virtual me" along with her and DH. From what I hear, I had a grand time (and possibly a little wild at times). When I see the photos and video, I will then decide if I need to pay her off not to make them public.

She called from the 50's Prime Time mini-meet she and her DH hosted, and I got to talk to some of my YaYa sisters down there and Dan Murphy. She also called me several other times while there.

Needless to say, I had a wonderful DIScon buddy!
