Woke up to rain but was determined to keep on going. Ate a another quick breakfast in my room and soon armed with poncho was heading for the Animal Kingdom once again.

Rode everything except for whirl and tough to be a bug – also skipped Kali – didn’t need to get any wetter than I was already.

Ran into lots of characters back in Camp Mickey.

With the rain the park was fairly empty – and after seeing the Lion King like 3 times and the safari 2 or 3 times decided to bag the park.

As I was walking to the bus stop was trying to decide what to do – go to another park and play some more in the rain – or go over early to the Animal Kingdom Lodge as I was having dinner at Boma later on. Decided to just go to the Lodge. Spent some time shopping and drying off. Broke down and brought a nice and fluffy sweatshirt that felt real good. Finally found a comfy chair and rather dozed the rainy afternoon way in the lobby people watching.

It was finally time for dinner and my dining partner showed up. Dinner at Boma was good as usual – except they didn’t have the roasted tomato soup on the menu for tonight – but they had two different soups – one with potatoes and apples and the other was potato and bacon – both were good and rich and warm. Of course the rest of the dinner was excellent as usual including the zebra domes. They also had a another dessert that was good – passion fruit tarts. The mango salad dressing was good too.

Dinner was fun and spent the evening catching up. After dinner it was still pouring and decided to just bag the thoughts of going to Epcot and go back to the room. Before dinner I had heard that the area had received like almost 3 inches of rain already.

Once back in the room, I made some more phone calls and packed up everything that I could as I knew Tuesday would be a real long night and a very early Wednesday morning.

Crawled into bed knowing that tomorrow was my last day at WDW – no smile on my face tonight.

Mickey bar total = 2

You sound like me Marla, I start dreading that last day before it even arrives.

I was really surprised by the number of characters I saw during the time I was there. I'd never seen that many before!

I managed to spend some time sitting and people watching - one especially memorable time was with DixieDreamer while we ate turkey legs....well, we actually ended up watching people watch us. Fun! :)

We fell in love with Boma this last trip! (Had never been there before)!

The last couple of days ARE the hardest!

Thanks for the report!

I know Orlando needs rain..but all in one day? Glad you enjoyed Boma. One of these days I'm gonna eat there too.
