There's a time and place for this guy , but it's not usually at the beginning of a serious thread. And we don't need about 5 people to use it on one page either!

The code word thing will surely lead to cliquish behaviour, and totally derail almost any thread that it's used on. That's the nature of the DIS, unfortunately.

I'm not trying to be ugly but why not just tell the person that is being rude or whaever that they are being rude. I'm not sure what the point is of a code word. I promise if someone is being rude to me in person I'm not going to pull out a code word but probably several words for them.

Maybe Im just missing the point I think. Very easily done since I haven't had coffee today.

I guess that's up to each of us to decide.

I can't imagine being new here and trying to navigate around this board, running into code words and trying to make sense of it all. It would be pretty bewildering and would certainly make me feel very, very lost and unwelcome.

I'm sure that we'll quickly run into cases where a PINEAPPLE wielder is rude, but will be defended by the others in the PINEAPPLE clique who just know that he/she didn't mean it to be rude.....

Wouldn't the pineapple further flare the hemorrhoid? You know with pineapple being so acidic an all.
