Ann - Happy Cancerversary!!!!

Well I survived the shot, and no nausea so far PTL!! I asked the nurse to weigh me and I have lost 10 lbs. in 2 weeks. I am always hungry etc. Last time I lost 20 lbs.

Tomm. will be the radioactive pill. They didnt go over this with me. They said they would tomm. in the other dept. So far I heard keeping people 3 feet away from you, double flushing the toilet etc, oh what fun!!

A few more days of this, sigh, sigh. I feel like Pavlovs dogs salivating over food commercials on tv.

Sha - I would be more than happy to share my horrid diet with you and you can go kiss 10lbs good bye in 2 weeks too. Not like I couldnt stand to lose the weight, I am Ms. Pooh for sure.

Crazy week so far. I think I have finally found a replacement for DH's stolen truck. Hopefully, we can finalize the deal tomorrow. I'm tired of being his chauffeur and he's tired of not having a vehicle. Trying to make ADR's for this weekend was no fun. Everything is booked. A Cast Member friend booked our room for us at Port Orleans Riverside and we got the cast dining deal, too. She told me that most nights the restaurants are not full because of people making multiple reservations for the same time and not canceling when they decide where they're going. Disney should start forcing people to leave a credit card deposit when they do this and charge them if they don't cancel 72 hours prior.

I'm really looking forward to meeting Sha and having a weekend away from here with my DD!

Hi Everyone: I realize I'm a little late but I hope everyone had a nice Mother's Day and that all of you are having a good week in spite of treatment, waiting for results or having testing done.

When I was at WDW in January, I met Melissa (Merry Poppins) and had her phone # so I called her this evening and she and her family are fine. She said the tornadoes and storms were to the south and north of where they live and they were spared from any damage at all. She mentioned that she really doesn't worry that much anymore because it kind of is a way of life at this time of the year and usually they are given enough advance warning to take shelter. (I myself would say "bring on the snow instead of the tornadoes." This was the second time I've spoken to her since January and she said her computer is not working the way it should so she cannot post. I was so relieved to hear that everyone was fine.

Try and focus on the goal. I hope your sons are handling their own meals and chores while you are going through this.

I did really enjoy our visit with DD19, almost 20. I say did because she let yesterday for Arkansas with her boyfirend to meet his family. The plan is for her to fly over to Orlando.

She will be working most of the summer in new Orleans. We will have to drive down there to see much of her.

Graduation breakfast this am and pool party for DD14's class tonight. Graduation is tomorrow.

Looking forward to R and R in Orlando next week.

I asked ds to be encouraging to me. He said "we are guys here in this house", but here is something for you "Livestrong!", gee thanks Lance Armstrong, I mean ds!!

Well it was tiring, so much so I made ds get me a wheelchair. It was just too much walking in the hospital for me with different floors, depts. etc.,
Poor dh cant be in the bedroom with me or use the bathroom till friday morning. Glad he is at the cconfeence till tomm.

I must drink tons of water among other things to get the radiation out of my body over the next 2 days, oh what fun, drowning in water (which I hate) in addition to the horrid diet. And I can only have distilled water, so ds will pick up some later. I am running out of my gallon jug.

Laurie - Graduation for your dd . And see you soon!!

FL Lisa - Did you get to close the deal on the vehicle? Where did you want to eat??

Elizabeth - I know its tornado season too in Texas. I remember our closet well . Nothing like a dh being back here in NY and me and 3 kids in the tornado closet. Our town suffered over $1 m damage when I was there.

KJ - Hope you are doing well. Thanks for your kind words.I was thinking of you because its freezing here today, like in the 50's and rainy.

I have to stay 3 feet away from everyone for the next 2 days, what fun is that too??

Do you have to do all this stuff if you get regular radiation??? I guess I am getting sick and tired of rules, precautions etc. etc.

I heard disney will be cutting back on their discounts next year, so I am definetely doing the bounceback for dec. and maybe at least getting dh an ap and I will decide about cashing in the ff miles next year for just a room only. He has another 35K right now, amazing!! And he is suppose to go away in June,

BTW Disney is building a new resort, it appears to be where the unfinished part of Pop is at. Art of Animation Resort (AA resort).

Hang in there Maryann. I'm so sorry you have to go through all of this. The only thing I had to do the same as you for radiation was drink ALOT of water - had to to that for chemo also. It would be tough not to use the bathroom for several days though if there's more than one person in the house

I hope everyone is staying safe in the storm prone areas. It's rainy and 40 here. I would rather have snow than the cold rain. We had sleet and slush on Saturday so it's good that it's just rain.

Maryann - Yes, we have a vehicle for my DH. We found a 2000 Chevy Blazer on a used car lot. We picked it up this afternoon. DH is happy to be independent again and not have to rely on myself and DD for rides. As for the restaurants we were trying to get into - we tried for several in Epcot. The only ones available were China and Morocco. Chinese food is better locally than Nine Dragons. We tried Morocco once, not really my preference. All the other Epcot locations had no openings as well as Cape May. We were lucky to get Captain's Grille at YC - 5:15 was the only available time! We have never had trouble getting in there during the past 5 years.

As for your radiation questions, I believe ours is much less severe than what you're going through. DD read some of your posts. She said it reminded her of the treatments her friend, who had neuroblastoma, endured. It was especially difficult for his mother when he was isolated. I hope things get better for you soon.

We do have 2 bathrooms, thank God, its just that dh will have to use the "boys" bathroom and both he and the ds hate sharing etc. I guess we are pretty territorial around here, lol!!

Oh and I also forgot to say that ds22 texted me that he got the job. I did tell him I was happy for him etc. Really I think he could do much, much better. But I guess we wil see if he makes it after the probationary period. I just am glad he has a job in this economy but I hope this will certainly not be his future..an insurance salesman.

I am not putting it down in general but I know my one friends dh is one and its really bad right now.

Maybe he will prove me wrong, who knows. But its a starting point.

Had a friend go to Rome, see the pope and asked him if he'd pray for me. He said he would!

What a day...how are you guys?

lmp-glad son got job, my best friend is in insurance. It's stable.

Glad Merry is okay, the shots from OK are scary!

Hang in there Mary Ann-one of my friends just went through her second round of chemo-it's a long road, but she feels better now.

Thinking of you, LMP!

You are all such troopers. You inspire me.

Just a few more days til my moms lumpectomy. My DH is going to take off and care for the kids Monday so I can be with my mom (and dad!) on surgery day. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since that awful dx day but it feels waaaay longer than that. In the past week or so I have been more at peace with this. I'm still worried and don't want to see my mom sick but my anxiety level has dropped.

I wish you all peace!!!
