I'm sorry I haven't had a lot of energy to post. I was completely exhausted. Still am, actually. I scared myself a little as my brain felt like it could only manage the simplest and most mundane of tasks. I think it was overloaded. The stress of the screaming completely did me in.

DD is home and doing a lot better. I updated in post 77 on the prayer thread. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2299037&referrerid=70088 Will update after doc's visit.

Thinking of all of you, also. Hope everyone's doing ok. Thank you for your prayers and offers of help. She didn't post it here, but NHAnn offered to come all the way down from NH to MA if we needed her. (I think snappy would have hopped on a plane from LA as well.) What a great group of friends we have here. :grouphug:

My goodness, after all you have done for us here, Linda, I feel it would have been little recompense.

Glad your DD is better, and i hope you get some rest so you are up to more taxing tasks.

Whatever you do, don't work on your tax return!!

Wait, this isn't April 15th is it? Yeah!!!

:cheer2::cheer2:Yea for good news!!!:cheer2::cheer2:
I saw your update on the other thread.....can't imagine how she wants chili!?!? Sounds like one tough cookie you've got there! :cheer2:

PNM- So happy to hear that your DD is doing well. :worship: And she wants chili!!! :rotfl2: Happy to hear the good news.

LMP- Hope the pain minimizes and you are mending well.

Honu- You worry me girl! Maybe try and do somethings you can do that make you happy. What about going camping with your family? I hate to see you in this slump. I PM'd you.

Laurabelle-It's great to hear from you. I hope you are recouping in style.

Sha - I am glad you had a good time with your Mom. The waiting game is hard to play.

Well I have decided to have my treatment a month early. My medical coverage at the hospital ends on 10/31/09. This will cover the drug and then I will have 6 months to figure it all out before next treatment. So I got my bloodwork today and will see my doctor tomorrow morning and schedule treatment. I have to fill out FMLA papers for 2 companies. The old and the new.

GAGTWA to all I missed.

THANK GOD! I am so glad she is home and feeling better. My prayers were with you. Its so hard to see children sick. I'm sure as a nurse its even harder! Linda....hugs to you!

Am glad she is home. I hope that good news continues from the follow up appt.

Mom sees her surgeon on Wednesday... and I saw the path report but am so tired all I remember is that it is nuclear grade II. Am so tired I cant remember if that is the stage level or not. Work was a mess today... hopefully, I can get caught up tomorrow.

Will keep you all posted! Thoughts and prayers for you all!:grouphug:

Hi ladies

I am in alot of pain as usual. I didnt go home that day but yest. I am trying 2 pillls every 4 hours. I cry sometimes but bascially pass out alot from the pain. Dh has to come home at lunch and take me to the bathroom. I am so pathetic and weak, dh even has to lift the walker for me, its my grannys and doesnt have wheels. I dont see the surgeon until 10/20 as he is going to the american college of surgeon? The 2 surgeons covering for him I dont really like that well. I would have to go to the er to see them. They will call in more pain meds for me on friday.

Lisa - The evil will NEVER win. You put those boxing gloves on sista and knock the stuffin out of it!! I am sending you a  Hmm, could we play virtual bingo for a diversion??? Sorry about the cipro. I did well with it but for some reason they are giving me keflex now.

It will get better LMP!! You have lots of prayers to help you too!

I think that on Saturday I will light a candle for everyone.. with a little prayer. May need to work that day, so I may do it in the afternoon... if anyone else wants to do it too. How about 3pm? We can all use prayers :goodvibes

What a grand idea, Sha!.

That will be 2 pm my time.

LMP, you amaze me, despite the suffering you are undergoing, you are out there encouraging honugirl. You remind me of Linda!

But we gotta come up with a better idea than virtual bingo!

We had to replace the A/C and heater for the bedroom side of our house yesterday. I was :scared1: over the price but we are supposed to get both a rebate and a tax credit since the units qualify as energy efficient. Also, we got some lower quotes but we have been dealing with this company for a long time. He always is available when we have an issue. We both wanted that continuing level of service.

It is nice to be cool again. We used a little window unit we bought for the hurricane to use with the generator. It served the purpose but the new one is good.

I got nothing done yesterday since having work done at the house makes me nervous. I am always afraid someone will get hurt. What a worry wart.

I guess i have to work today? Lots of stuff, the annual audit starts next week, pay day is today, and there is ateam meeting tomorrow. Not to mention the first Bingo quarterly report and all the quarterly payroll reporting stuff due by October 31.

Good thing I am superwoman!!

Hope everyone who needs to heal moves in that direction this week. Thinking of all of you.

LMP-Glad to hear from you!:flower3: Since I can't bring you real flowers. You are truly amazing. I am so sorry you are in so much pain. Your hubby is awesome too! Looks like you may need to put on your boxing gloves too! But don't worry we are all in your corner, waiting to give whatever type of support you need. Hang in there.

I went to the doctor and was able to schedule my treatments for the next 4 Fridays at 11:00! I am happy (who would think that chemo would make me happy) and relieved that they could fit me in. I think it is due to the port. They can't give me iron this time because I just miss the mark in my bloodwork. The doctor said that if we waited until next month it will definitely be low. So I go back for more bloodwork and will get Ferritn then.

So despite the negative there is a lot of positive going around. Now I would like to pass some positive to Honugirl, LMP and PNM daughter. Actually to all my GAGTWA sisters. We are all Superwomen like Snappy!

I cant rememer what number ranges go with what letters... other wise I wouldve called out one earlier... or cheat and go with the obvious one... A-1 ;)

GAGWTA, Ladies!! :flower3:

Sha, not to burst your bubble, but there is no "A" in the word "BINGO". :rotfl2:

Laurie, the ONLY time I have ever worried about someone getting hurt was at my last job. They had a pool house with this, this, I can't think of the word. It was kind of like the thing grape vines grow on. A wooden framework of sorts. Anyway, they were having that framework torn down. The pool was covered with a huge sheet of plastic. There was a guy standing on the top of this rotting wooden thing and I am thinking "That wood is going to give way, and he is going to fall INTO the pool and get tangled in that plastic sheeting." I kept the phone close by so I could call 911. Luckily nothing happened!

Maryann, I am sorry you have so much post-op pain! I hope you are feeling better today! :wizard:

Linda, I hope DD is continuing to improve! :wizard:

Candy, I am glad you were able to schedule your treatments! :thumbsup2 The sooner you get through them, the better! Hopefully you won't be terribly uncomfortable. My mom tolerated her chemo fairly well, though they did have to tweak the plan a bit.

Candy - wishing you all the best with the chemo

Sha - Saying a prayer for your mom tomm.

My bingo numwer is ...P10, no there is no P in Bingo, but P is for pain and 10 is the number. I took only 2 pills last night every 4 hours. just laid in bed and couldnt sleep. I got up screaming my head off in pain, so now its 3 pills every 4 hours. Dh just helped me with the shower that didnt make me feel better, just more suffering in pain and I am managing to sit at the desktop. I was going stir crazy in the other room. This wont last long though.

Oh and ds21 gave me a wonderful surprise (NOT!!). He said his "friend" is coming to move back with her grandma around here and bringing his godson, so he is happy that he can see him more, um, that baby has a daddy, not my ds and I think he needs to stay as far away from this girl as possible. He knows dh and I feel a certain way about the whole situtation. Oh, great, more stuff to worry about.

GTAGWTA. Thinking of you all.

Oh crap! That is what I get for talking on the phone and trying to post at the same time! Thanks JSG! good for a lol at least!

think you are thinking trellis

I dunno from trellis but I really loved the A1 thing, Sha. Oh my, I am going to have to share that one at the team meeting tomorrow.

Not sure what to expect anyway because one of the gals in charge of planning this meeting bought a "cowgirl" wig for the meeting.

This will be held in a very upscale and professional attorney's office. I am going to walk out if they embarass me.

LMP, sorry to hear about the P10 number. I am not sure how you are enduring prolonged pain like that. And you said your surgeon is gone until the 20th?

Let us know if the 3rd pill makes a difference. My experience was that you had to take more to get ahead of the pain. Instead you are still in the ramp up stage. This is very worrisome for me.

Please try to "release" the thing with you DS's "friend" with the godson. I know it is hard but try. Maybe your DH can address it for now.

Candy, got to love your attitude about getting the chemo organized and scheduled. Talk about making lemonaide from lemons. You make me feel guilty about my whining.

Sha, it was pretty funny. :rotfl:
This wasn't exactly a trellis. It was wooden posts that extended out from the roof of the pool house, then it was supported by more vertical wooden posts. Like an awning, only it didn't have fabric or anything on it. Just posts with open spaces between. Maybe "arbor" is the word I want?

Maryann, I am sorry to hear you are still feeling so horrible!

Sorry, haven't had time to read all the posts.

I updated on the prayer thread - my mother was admitted to the hospital last night with the same symptoms DD had. She's doing ok, but EColi can be hard on the elderly. She's 84. :sad1:
