Heah Sistas !!

How are you all doing? Hope everyone is o.k. And why did I put in the dancing Yellow banana? Well I need a color changing prayer, I need a prayer for color to change from red to yellow, Yup, dh talked to the surgeon and he does not like what is going on. The drain amount is much too high 60, and the color is red, very bad. Indicitive of either a bleeder which has not sealed or too much excess that went up into my head from the crisis that needs to drain out. This week end he is handing us off to the other surgeon. He is the cheif of ent surgery at the hosp. and I even think he seems overwhelmed at times so I know they hired this new surgeon to help out,. I looked at his credentials on line and he is great too. And he has even seen inside of me already so he knows what keeps me ticking like a timex watch. DH actually told me that after surgery 3 he told dh that I had 30 minutes to live. I also dont like that when dh mentioned pain meds to the surgeon he said oh that should be the endo or your gp job. Um, hello you are the cancer surgeon and I have cancer pain. I will let dh address this again with him on friday, tomm. is his surgery day so the talk will be brief. Just the drain amount over the or speakerphone. He did tell dh the drain cant stay in forever.

Alice - I thought of you in the hosp. And why do you ask? I actually heard a nurse yell out in the hall, (about another patient) something like no x ray for her, she needs a pegnancy test!! I laughed silently to myself.

It will be cool to see how God answers this prayer, o.k. yellow smilie guy was intentional.

Thinking color-changing thoughts and offering prayers. Hang in there, honey. Maybe the new surgeon is the answer to a prayer.

Sorry I had you guys worried. Yes, we had tornadoes yesterday... not in my city but not far away. The Oklahoms City metro area includes several cities (including mine) and at least two tornadoes did a lot of damage within this area. Some of the damage was near DH's parents and his aunt/uncle's house. Doesn't look like there were any fatalities, or at least last I heard. Some beautiful homes on the golf course in Edmond were lost though and some places had baseball sized hail. We just got a little much-needed rain.

Good Morning ladies!!

Well its a beautiful day in the neighborhood here, hmm, could that have something to do with I think my neighbor, whom I have posted about many times on the CB is Finally gone, or almost gone, Yippee!! No more dog poo, drug buys, cop visits, etc,. etc. Now I wonder who is moving in?? Hope its somebody better.

Well the drain amount is still 60, so we will see what happens today, but guess what..

I pulled an "Alice" today, yup, I didnt want her to one up me, so I went for my blood test with no bra on too . Dh took me, and boy oh boy was it good to see the blustery day like in Winnie the Pooh and smel the air etc. I did keep my jacket zipped up so as not to scare anyone, and I had an appt. with quest, so we breeezd in ahead of the other 20 plus peole which turned into about 30 by the time we were out of there. I will do this in the future too. I actually have clothes on today, no PJs for this sista until tonight!!

I will have ds carry my laundry to the laundry room so I can wash it. I feel a little stronger, now I am just waiting on God to see how he will answer the color changing prayer, Life is Beautiful Sistas!! Enoy today! Blessings to you al and I hope everyone is well, all the sick kids too.

With all the things I've accomplished in my life ( I can't think of many, but I'm 50-- there's got to be SOMETHING!) please don't tell me that the one thing I'll be remembered for is teaching in a coed high school with my 50 year old heffalump not in a bra!!!

Today was my last radiation treatment! The doctor warned me that I can expect to feel the worst of its effects 5 days after treatment ends-- next Wednesday.

The good news is that school is closed for President's week, so I'll be on vacation.

The bad news is that my daughter turns 9 on Tuesday. And, like any good psycho mommy, I've allowed her to invite her 10 closest friends for a sleepover on Tuesday night.

So I'm really looking forward to enjoying Wednesday now

Good evening Ladies, A little Pre Valentine Smilie for all of you.

I feel like Pooh today, and its not the Winnie kind. I stayed in my pajammas all day. I slept alot,. This pain thing is wearing me out today for sure. Dh called the dr. blah, blah, the pain pills can be adddicting so he will only give me 1 more bottle. Um, I usually only take 4 a day and have made 45 last for over a week, so I think that is pretty good. I have a high pain tolerance anyway. Gotta love the no epidural stuff. The one kind of pain I am feeling is my body making lots of scar tiissue, oh joy, just what I want. The other pain is the constant pre cancer pain I had. He doesnt know what that is. He is passing us off to surgeon #2 for the week end. Good maybe if dh talks to him he might have a little valentines day pain insight for us It looks like things in the color drain of my life are changing slowly. Praise God. I have to talk to DH because I think the surgeon said I could finally take a shower, yippee, I am giddy ladies, giddy I tell you.

I hope you all have a great Valentines Day tomm. Hope all the kids are feeling better etc.etc.

Actually, you sound like an excellent mom. Also, having the party scheduled during vacation time is the best. I hope her birthday is a roaring success, that you get some sleep, and that the 5 day thing is just a myth.

I hope the shower helps to alleviate the pain for a little while. I remember how much I enjoyed my first shower after my surgeries. It can be a religious experience.

No specific valentine's day plans here. I would not mind breaking open a bottle of red wine but we are fresh out. Our colleged aged son called this morning to say he was coming home for the weekend. I offered to do his laundry so you know what I'll be doing.

I imagine I'll be cooking up some veal for him tomorrow.

Yesterday was my birthday. The kids and DH took me out to dinner. I went to lunch with my mom and my brother. It was a very nice day. They put off taking me to the movies until tonight, but we bought our tickets in advance so they won't sell out.

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you. DH gave me flowers and I gave him a new video game. We'll pick another night to go out to eat. Too crowded tonight for my taste. I'm cooking homemade chicken pot pie with birthday cake. After the movie we'll come back and play video games or something equally romantic. LOL!

Happy belated birthday, Melissa.

DH just got home from work with a bag from the high end candy store (Chocolage) that one of our friends owns. He made it home with a huge box of Godiva and an interesting little box of a Bailey's Irish cream candy truffle.

I made loads of panned veal and bought a heart shaped red velvet cake from our favorite bakery.

I know we will put on some pounds from this holiday but at least DS20 is home to help us eat it.

I love having everyone home, wish DD18 was home too.

Hope you are all having a great day. We are staying in. Our big television died a quick death and so we had to replace it. Can't survive without a huge television can we

Anyhow, there went our fun money for today and the next month! It was really really warm today....a nice change from the past two weeks of cold weather.

Hope all are feeling better. You have all been in my thoughts. Gotta go....they need me out of the way while they hook up the new television....its getting more attention than me! HA!
