Directv, Dish, U-Verse, Cable?

We've got Dish right now. I had been pretty happy with it until recently. We don't lose our service unless there is a really bad storm. Our bill was bundled with ATT also, and with no notice, Dish started billing us. They were extremely rude when I called them about it. ATT told me that Dish started doing this without notifying them as well. I was able to call Dish and have it put back with the ATT bill. But they keep going up on the bill, and they took away my FX (I need my Sons of Anarchy!)

I am thinking of switching to Direct TV. Does anyone know if you can pause/rewind the live TV with Direct??? (I am so used to doing this now because I am usually doing 10 other things while I am watching TV, that I would really miss it. Sometimes when I am in the car and miss something they say on the radio, for a split second I think of backing it up :rotfl:)

:)I have had experiences with Time Warner Cable, Comcast and AT&T. These are my experiences:

1. Time Warner Cable-$150-$175 We had cable and internet and at one point HBO and Cinemax. They were fine, no problems that I can remember.

2. Comcast-$175-$200 We had internet and cable then got a phone at a later time. The price didnt change. We also had HBO and Cinemax. Overall they were just okay. We only had to call them rarely but when we did their customer service and hold times were horrible. Specifically I mean not showing up for appointments, accidently disonnecting the wrong house that took a week to fix, calling several tims for the same issue. The good part is that if they ever disconnect your cable, they only turn off the box.

3. At&t-$148 We have internet and cable. We have all the movie channels. We have to call them all the time. We have been with them for 6 months and weve had to call them more times than with Comcast and Time Warner combined. They do not have good service at all and their phone tree is pretty bad. Specifically, they have had to come out numerous times for the same issue, say its fixed, only for us to call again for the same issue. Then their hold times are really long. We've spent waay to much time calling them. Plus if they ever disconnect you (long story) it is $70 for reconnect.

I like they way Uverse works but I would go back to Time Warner Cable if I had that option. They were taken over by Comcast in my area in 2007. The other two really suck at customer service, imho.

Hope this helps:)

I'm hating them because they've taken away 50-60 of my channels, but they didn't lower my bill.
The point is that their competitors either never offered those channels on the tier of service that you have, or used to but took them away much sooner than Comcast did. No matter how you slice it, being most angry at Comcast for offering those channels on that tier of service longer than all their competitors doesn't make much sense.
