Direction to Publix from OKW

There are a couple on 192 that I usually go to. Head towards the Animal Kingdom Lodge then make a left on Sherberth and then a right on Black Lake (if you follow Sherberth it will actually take you down to 192 but Black Lake is a bit of a shortcut). At the end of Black Lake make a right onto 192 (you'll be heading towards 27). There are actually 2 Publix stores probably within a mile.

I will give it a stab, but I am not the best at directions.

When you leave OKW, turn right like going to SSR.
Pass the SSR entrance and go to the light and take a right.
When you get to light at DTD (DTD on your right) go left and head
towards Crossroads.
When you get to light at Crossroads, take a right and get in the far left lane.
Go under I-4 and to the next light (Vineland??) and turn left. That is where the Bahama Breeze and all that stuff is. That road winds around down past
the outlets and the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede.
Once you pass Dolly Parton's show, it will be about 1/8 mile or less on your left.

It may not sound it, but this is a lot closer than going 192.

someone please correct me if I don't have this right. I have made the trip in my "mind's eye" while writing this.

You got it right. Note that Publix is way back there, but it really is not that far. Never took me more than 10 minutes to get to from SSR.

Also, this is a brand new one (or at least it seemed so last October).

This is exactly where we go too. Black Lake Road actually runs parallel to 192 so you avoid the traffic and lights. The first Publix is in a little plaza on the right hand side, very shortly after you turn right onto 192. It's only been open a couple of years, is very, very clean and the employees are incredibly nice.

It has always been spotless and totally stocked when we have been there, and never seems really really crowded. They seem to have every and anything we have ever needed.

We got our Christmas dinner from them one year. It was wonderful.
