Direction needed to get to campfire at FW?

We are staying off site and would like to visit FW and see the campfire and movie.
I can manage to get to fort wilderness but once there, how do I get to the campfire?
Also, are off site guests allowed to go to the campfire since I assume I would have to use a disney bus to get to it??

Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

There is an internal bus system that will take you from the parking lot to the campfire area. I have never done this as an off site guest. I would imagine you would just tell them at the gate house you are there for the campfire.

go in the back door - read the map along the path (after the kennel) to see which bus you need to take...

Anyone can go to the campfire. We had no idea how to get there either, but there are lots of folks along the way that can point you in the right direction. Once we got off the boat at Fort Wilderness, we took a bus (orange? purple? can't remember) right to the campfire area. Then we popped into a store and asked them to point us in the right direction toward the campfire. It was such a fun, family thing to do. The best part was feeling like you've really gotten away from all the hustle and bustle of WDW. In fact, it's hard to believe you are at Disney when you are at Fort Wilderness. Have fun!
