Direct Incentives after 3/1

Here we are about 10 days away, and I haven’t heard any rumors about the next round of incentives… Has anyone heard anything?

Disney will need to improve them for VGF and Riviera IMO. $15 off for 150 points will probably get them moving again.

Typically, nothing leaks out ahead of time for incentives. But, I think we will see better ones to make up for the $10 increase that happened in December.

Do they ever incentivize on small buy up packages? I’d imagine that would help get sales moving for owners who want to “top off”….

Lowest I have ever seen is 100 points for current owners.

No. Sure, increase in sales are great for DVD, but at the same time they don't want too many small contracts floating around the system. Since a 25 point contract (50 CCV/RIV) can be bought and sold on the resale market; you could have members with only 25 total points further clogging the already crowded demand for studios.

An existing owner could break down an incentivzied 150 point purchase into multiple smaller contracts, but theyd still be paying additional $ to do it.

They always have incentives, but current owners have incentives that are slightly better than those for new buyers. Plus, they will sometimes have incentives at the 100 or 125 point mark for owners as well.

New buyers are required to buy 150 points minimum so that is where they will start the incentives. It is why some people will buy resale first, and then it makes them eligible for current owner incentives. That is what I did when I bought in 2009 when BLT was going on sale.

You are so awesome! Thank you so much for all of your help! It is a little overwhelming and I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about all of this. My plan was to get a resale AKL soon to try to get the owner incentive on DLH or Poly 2 if we weren't in love with RIV or VGF when we visit in May. We aren't crazy about paying $219 per point unless we fall in love with a particular resort, so I am glad to hear that price may come down a little. We have been to every resort on property countless times, but never with the eyes of potential buyers.

Some minor sales at SSR and OKW starting at $6pp for 150pts so $199pp, resale is about 50% saving so not very exciting!

$20pp at 200pts for VGF would probably be pretty good but not long since $10 base increase to $217 so doesn't feel that way

I definitely think they have a different mindset when it comes to sales then some of us here do.

These incentives support that they are pretty okay with what is currently happening and in no rush…but, you also wonder if this is why nothing has been announced for VDH and possibly we will see the sales of Poly tower pushed back a bit.

They probably have enough to weather the storm with softer sales. VGF continues to have slightly better incentives so must also be okay with mix of sales at both resorts.

Disney has historically been willing to ride out transient dips in demand. They are playing the long game.

DLT will be on sale soon. It will be priced crazy. I didn't expect to see price cuts right now, it wouldn't make sense.

It looks like the Aulani add on incentives got worse than before March 1. 200 point incentive dropped from $33pp to $26pp.

I do see an offer of free luggage for new member purchases, if that tips the scale for anyone
