I have been checking everyday for a flight from newark,nj to orlando week during april 20-28. Everything is connecting flights. We are traveling with 4 kids and think it will be such a hassle.Is anyone else having the same trouble is it just me?

There's availability on all of Continental's and Delta's non-stop flights on your dates. The fares are higher than on the connecting flights. The lowest fare I found for non-stops was on Delta with late night arrivals both ways. That's probably not feasible for a family with 4 children. The next lowest fare for non-stops was also on Delta, with a late morning departure each way. $206.50/ticket. I would recommend that you just call Delta and tell them your needs. You can't book on their website anyway, because they allow only up to 4 tickets per transaction. You'll need to determine that they have this fare available for 6 tickets, so the best way to do that is to call them.

if you have an entertainment book they have coupons in it for continental...(It does however have blackout dates that it cannot be used) this might help you with the fare for a non-stop flight on them.

Most airlines have released discounted fares today from the Washington DC area. They are around $160 round trip, but you have to fly on M/T/W, which doesn't help me. I'm a Sat to Sat, and have gone on Thurs to get a good fare. But I can't fit this fare into my schedule. Yesterday there was only AirTran, and as usual all other airlines followed suit today, with the same price and same schedule. So all we can do it hope for something any day now. Check Travelocity.com for the newest discounted fares. THere may be some in your area today too.
