I'd be interested in that also. Lots of places I'd love to trade into and would rather trade with someone who is known on this board. Great idea.

Your idea is something I've been *wishing* for since joining DVC. The rent/trade board rarely has anything other than wanting to buy points. I'm not sure what the success rate is over on the TUG boards, and besides, there is a definite bias toward DVC on TUG.

You noticed that TUG is somewhat anti DVC did you. Personally I think it's P*n*s envy but they have a differnt view of it. LOL. Seriously, I wouldn't hesitate to explore the direct exchange options at TUG but it's buyer beware, just like it is here.

I'd love to see it happen. When I go to TUG I have a hard time finding who want's DVC. You have to scroll down every add to find that they want DVC. I would love to see: Want DVC/BWV for (date) , I have TIMESHARE(date). Then you could work out the particulars. I would also like to see it have to be renewed every so often , so out of date adds would be removed. Great Idea Dean.

I thought we'd let it sit for a couple of weeks then I'd contact the appropriate people and make some suggestions. That way everyone would have had a chance to comment and all that would be there for the admin people to read.

From what I think I know about point transfers is that you can't transfer points in and out of the same account during the same year. Maybe MS can change their policy to allow point exchanges between members. That wouls allow me to get an 11 month window for a Chirstmas Ressie at VWL with my OKW points by trading with a VWL member an equal number of points.

One down side I could see to the exchange is that everyone will book before the 7 month window and look for a trade. We could get some DVC member who will book looking to trade for a profit. I guess there's no law against it but it might become like ticket scalping. A few will book all they can and try to trade a premier week studio for a gand villa somehwhere else at a less busy time
