Direct Add On Now 25 pt Min on all Resorts!

And then once my Feb use year gets closer do I want a small VGC or VDH?

I wonder if I could use points from 2 use years for my annual passes if I buy some VDH in my Feb use year

I think I want to add on 25 points before my September WDW use year. Getting double points and opening a couple credit cards for bonuses can make it a pretty good deal.

But now I don't know if I want to add onto my RIV or get a few points at Poly!!!
Do just feel like you need a few more points or do you have a specific purpose in mind for the 25?

I feel like 25 won't do much for you at Poly, but may kick you up into 2BR territory for the most part at RIV.

I wouldn't say that I NEED more points. But I would like to get more direct points over time (and maybe sell off some resale depending on what other resorts are in the works) to futureproof for all the the options, like to use at all future resorts, as well as even cruises and ABD (especially if they crack down hard on renting. I know they aren't a great value though). And if they keep offering annual passes it would be easy to use a few more direct points.

I just feel that it is a good value to do 25 at a time if you can time it right before your use year and can use really good credit card sign up bonuses. Probably better doing 25 at a time like that than 50 or 100. If you count the value of the points it can be as good as getting a much higher tier of DVC incentive.

I like Poly but the wife doesn't really as she feels it is too fake. I just feel it's too busy. We haven't tried the tower yet, we probably will in January though. I keep telling myself that I can just buy resale there eventually if I want to stay there, or even use my SAP+ points since the point charts are so high. So probably RIV is where I am currently leaning

Don't the points all have to be from one membership and each UY has a different membership?
That's just it. I'm not sure that they do have to be from the same membership. I have searched but I haven't seen anyone confirming or denying it.

MMB and Annual passes are not for a membership, they are for a singular person.

You don't buy MMB or annual passes for a membership, you buy it as an individual. I have bought MMB, but my wife doesn't get it even though we are all on the same memberships. But she can buy it if she wants. Same for annual passes. If I as a person have the points, do they have to be from the same membership? IDK 🤷‍♂️

I guess it would be similar to doing a cruise reservation with points? Can you pull from multiple use years/memberships for that without transferring?

I may have to ask Member Services

I was considering POLY for a while…but I’ve come to the conclusion that unless you LOVE it, it’s just a tough sell. I would never buy enough points there to be staying in anything other than a studio…and we’d probably only use it during the summer when it’s not hard to reserve at 7 months…so what would be the point?

#teamriv with this one!

That is true that you buy it as an individual, but it says that you can share the benefits with others on your membership and your guests without them having to purchase it separately. I wonder if the pool of DVC members who have Y status on multiple memberships/UYs is small enough that they either didn't think of or feel the need to specify this particular use case? I do think the exchange/transfer would be fine though! Or buying one on each membership, like you said (sorry, misread originally- I thought you meant you were going to transfer your points from yourself to yourself)

I was told yes, but it would count as your one and only transfer for the UY. I ended up just using my VGF points in my June UY to keep it simple.

Assuming you’re talking about sharing the MMB benefits? You can buy discounted tickets for your SO but they can’t buy them. Your SO will not have front of the access to the lounges either.

I guess I just don't personally see a lot of cases where multiple members sharing the same membership would separately want to pay for their own MMB enrollment. Family situations where older parents+adult kids all on the same membership take vacations at different times? 🤷‍♀️

I know this has been discussed before but I can’t recall where it netted out - if two adults separately paid for MMB, would they each be eligible to buy the 12 OTUP (+ 12 free)?

Geez what is with the vgf cm's. Dont feel bad they told me that if we dont call the bell man at least 20 mins before 11 am, we would have to transport all of our stuff with no help
We are so alike on this topic. Sams thing happened to me with VGF bell services. I almost missed our ride to MCO. When we stayed at Kidani, I called bell services 30 minutes prior and someone showed up in 5 mins.

I agree. If I had realized that it was tied to per person I would have bought in SO name. Due to work schedules SO is able to go more often but now has to wait for the lounge more often as well.

Not on the same membership. OTUPs aren't linked to a person but to a membership and are limited to 24 per year per membership. So I think a spouse could only buy BOGO OTUP if they have a second membership/use year as well as the second MMB purchased
