Dinosaur v. Star Tours

Which ride do you prefer, Dinosaur or Star Tours?

I love Star Tours rode it 5 times in a row my last trip...
Dinosaur was ok.. but I have a bad back and was nervous about whiplash... very rough ride... also was very dark and I am not a big fan of rides where i can't see whats going on then a huge dinosaur roars in my face!!

As a huge Star Wars fan , I LOVE Star Tours. So I like it better. Dinosaur freaks me out (espicially when I got stuck on it and had to look at a huge T-Rex for 10 minutes ).

I think I missed the whole point of Dinosaur. It was too dark to see anything, too loud to understand anything, and too jerky for no reason that I could understand. It was just a rough, noisy ride in the dark.

Dinosaur scared the beejeebers out of me!! OMG !! What a chicken I am, but I think that is the scariest ride in all of WDW!! Disney at it's best, just too real for me!!

I'm surprised at the results so far. I don't care for Dinosaur/Countdown to Extinction. I think it is very jerky for no particular reason. It is the same ride mechanism as Indiana Jones in DL and that is a FAR better ride. Give me Star Tours anyday.

wow i guess i am going to go against everyone here and say diosaur.
I love to be scared...so This is a really fun ride for me. I love fast jerky rides too. I also love dark rides. So this is really one of my favorite rides!

I like Dinosaur better. I think that it is an exciting ride. It is loud though and have sensitive ears, so last year my mom came up with the idea that I wear eye plugs on it. That helped me a lot.

I didn't find it scary at all, although I have read reviews by some people who claim they were "terrified". I also didn't feel it was fast. I just didn't understand the whole idea of it.

We love Dinosaur. Star Tours is fine, but the whole simulator experience is rather dated and lacks creativity.

Star Tours made me green so I have to say Dinosaur. It's jerky but it never has made me motion-sick.

In the 1980's my shopping mall had those same Star Tours simulators boxes...but they became dated fast, and I don't see them at the malls much anymore. Only Disney could keep a ride open sooooo long after it should have been up-dated. THE NEW STAR TOURS SHOULD BE JUST LIKE SOARING!

Dinosaurs is a bit too jerky for no good reason. Enjoyed the ride better then Star Tours.


Love Star Wars, Love Dinosaurs....best part of each attraction is walking through the props before you get to the ride

Agree with the previous poster, Star Tours is dated. I like the video and all but I feel like I could get the same ride for a quarter outside my local grocery store. Don't get me wrong, I still ride Star Tours everytime I go, but I prefer Dinosaur, it's actually one of my favorite rides at WDW.

For as many times as I've done Star Tours/Body Wars, my last trip made me nauseous on both of them. I could not tell you if it was because I'm getting old or the rides were somehow 'out of sync', but it ruined what had been one of my favorite experiences.

Dinosaur on the other had was wonderful. I love being scared, even if I cover my eyes for half the ride/film, and this thing served it in spades. I am not too concerned about thrill rides when I take my wife and son next year, but this is the one exception where I plan on doing a child swap if need be.

I'm a Star Wars freak, and while I loved Star Tours as a kid, I think I like Dinosaur for the ride it gives better.

If we were talking purely theming, I'd say Star Tours.

I like them both, but have to give the edge to Star Tours. Sure it's dated, but so am I , having seen the original Star Wars in the theater in 1977 (and I wasn't a kid). Even still, I wouldn't mind seeing it updated.

Dinosaur, it has fond memories for me, it is the first ride that has ever broken down while I was on it.
