Dinnertime in Summertime

It seems our work schedules run late in the summer and we don't end up eating dinner until after 7:00 pm. I kind of like it. The sun hasn't set yet and it just makes the day seem longer when we eat late. What about you? Do you eat later in the summer?

Yes we do eat much later in the summer. Our whole schedule seems to shift. Sometimes in the winter I am in PJ's cooking dinner at 6:00

We seem to always eat between 6:45 and 7:15 no matter what the season. I get home shortly after five and dh used to get home about 630 so we got used to it. Family dinners are important here. Now if we eat at my moms its always at 530. ANd then they wonder why my kids arent that hungry.

When my husband is at home we usually eat at pretty much the same time every night. With him gone, though, the kids and I have been kind of on our own schedule and we have definitely been eating later. When we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago my husband was teasing me about it. We were sleeping late, and then having breakfast around lunch time, lunch closer to dinner time, and dinner pretty close to the kids' usual bedtime.

We definitely do. We are having dinner around 7:30 on all nights except football nights, and I love it. Just another part of summer that I do not want to end.

We eat the same time as usual, around 6:00 p.m. It would not occur to me to eat later just because it's summer. Now if I BBQ'ed that might delay meal time (charcoal briquets) but I don't.

We eat later too. For a variety of reasons. This is DH's busy time of the year so he gets home later. We also sleep later, eat breakfast later, etc. Our schedule is very relaxed during the summer and I just make dinner when everyone is hungry.
