Dinner Reservation Questions

My wife and I are headed to Disney in April. First time for me since 1982!

I have a few questions regarding dinner reservations:

1. Will I need dinner reservations for 2 people at places like Fulton's, Ralph Brennan's and Big River Brewing Company?

2. Do these restaurants even take reservations for 2? We vacation alot on Cape Cod and many of the more popular restaurants don't take reservations unless you have a party of 4 or more.

3. Do I need to be on a Disney meal plan to make reservations? I don't intend to be on a plan.

1. Fultons (most likely yes), Ralph Brennan's (is at DLR, not WDW I believe), and Big River Brewing (doesn't take ADRs)

2. Yes they'll even take reservations for 1

3. No. Fulton's doesn't even take the dining plan.

I can't answer #1 but if they take reservations, I would make them, #2 I believe you can make reservations for 2 - I hope so because we will be in the same scenario. I believe you can. #3 - as far as I know, you don't have to be on a plan to make reservations. I'll be on the dining plan but in another thread, I asked if you can make reservations for the restaurants you plan on paying out of pocket for, and the answer was yes. So that would be the same thing. Have fun!!!!

Big River Brewing (doesn't take ADRs)

I think Big River will take a reservation but you call them directly, and they won't take a reservation way in advance like Disney - they are more like a "normal" restaurant! We were able to walk up and get a table for 2 there, even during Christmas week, without a reservation though (it was early - like 5:30 PM).
