Dinner @Le Cellier with DDP

I really want to go to Le Cellier to try to the famous soup. And im wondering how were going to fit it in our schedule. For the DDP you dont get an appetizer, so no soup for free. I see on the menu on this website that theres a Le Cellier experience that has appetizer, entree and dessert. Can i get this with the DDP so i can get the soup? I heard that with the DDP you cant get everything on menus at restaurants. So just looking for clarity.

Yes you can get the "prefixed" meal at LC if you are on the DDP.

The only restrictions if you do this is you cannot substitute anything.
You have to have the exact things.

For example I usually get the prime rib, it comes with yukon potatoes, but I substitute the yukons for the mashed potatoes. You can't do that.

I had a different experience. I did the "prefixed" meal with the soup for my appetizer and was able to substitute my side (salad for potatoes). The waiter also told us that we because we were on the plan we could get any dessert and were not restricted to the 3 choices on the prefixed menu like someone paying cash would be. The waitress at Captain's Grille told us the same thing about their 3 course menu.

Just be aware that answers may change based on who is serving you, and what Disney is tinkering with. We found we received different answers at different venues. This is one of the issues that can make the dining plan a little frustrating at times.

Don't even get me started on "what is a snack".
