Me, DH, my parents (young 60's), and 2 DD's 5 & 2 1/2........none of us have ever been to Downtown Disney - what are our dining options? Does anyone have a favorite?

West side has everything from seafood to Wolfgang Puck to Bongo's. We always have dinner at Rainforest Cafe. It can get really crowded there and wait times can get long. So if you eat there go early. You can check out Deb Willis site under the dining section she has a list of resturants and menu's.

Lots of choices here.

My DS's favorite is Planet Hollywood. It's ok and the atmosphere is cool. If you are a movie buff you will enjoy all the memoribilia.

I think Rainforest has a better menu and is a neat place to eat. The aqurium and animals keep the little ones entertained.

Contrary to some we really do like Fultons for seafood. The food has always been good.

Wolfgang is also one of our favorites. You need to go early or there can be a long wait.

Rainforest cafe is a lot of fun and the food is good. For great seafood (ok I know others disagree, but all of our meals there have been wonderful), we love Fulton's crab house. The kids think it neat eating on a boat too. Try to get a table with a water view.

We really like RFC and go on every trip. They have good menu choices for every age and the atmosphere is entertaining for everyone.

GREAT SEAFOOD! And fresh, too -- right off the boat. They post the delivery receipts by the front door to prove it.

Sometimes, the service can be a little pokey. But we've always enjoyed our meals there.

I'd go to Rainforest Cafe. I haven't been to the one at DTD, but we frequented the Mall of America location. We love the food and atmosphere. I'd definitely walk past Bongo's and Planet Hollywood. Any Planet Hollywood location has better food than this one. It was very noisy when we went, so I can't recommend it for dinner conversation either. Again, we frequented Planet Hollywood at the MOA which we liked much better for food, atmosphere, and service. Bigger is not necessarily better.

We always eat at Bongos. It is food you probably can not get elsewhere. Planet Hollywoods is typical food at outrageous prices. At least with Bongos, there is usually entertainment(salsa dancers or a band).

Last year we all went to the House of Blues and EVERYONE had a great time!

Sister, BIL, DH & myself (30yo - 41yo), Mom & Dad (late 50's) and my kids 2 & 4 all went, the waiter was exceptional and the kids got to dance on the small stage in the restaurant (there was obviously no bands playing that night).

Anyway, GREAT food and GREAT atmosphere. It's definately on our list of things to do again this year!
