Dinner ideas with teen daughter

The things that come to mind for me are "sharable things". The bread service at Sanaa qualifies. My darkhorse favorite is the Parrillada del Mar at Hacienda in Epcot. I've been meaning to try Jaleo, and they do a small version of one of their paella that I bet is pretty good.

A big platter of sushi is also always a win for this.

Since you’re staying at Boardwalk I would definitely put Flying Fish and Cake Bake on your shortlist. Cake Bake would be one of my first choices for dinner (or any other meal) with my teen daughter!

She mentioned Cake Bake so I'm definitely going to work that in! I forget about Flying Fish. Thank you.

If you can score a Space 220 lounge spot, I would pick that over the main dining area (more options and the elevated view is better).

Jiko, Citricos, Toledo have been some of our top experiences recently.

Since you're staying at Boardwalk, you might want to hit Cake Bake. Their savory food is good (chicken velvet soup, rosemary goat cheese quiche) and their eggs Benedict on a croissant for breakfast is also excellent.

My daughter loves sushi too!

At that age, my daughter LOVED Cowfish at Universal---enough that we would sometimes make a trip over even when staying at WDW.

We are more casual people and love Beaches and Cream at BC. Never had the guts to get the kitchen sink with it's Whole Can of Whipped Cream!

When my now 30 year old was waiting out the teen years , she loved feeling sophisticated. Our most fun times were a monorail crawl with small plates and mocktails for her. A table by the river at San Angel with a Virginia margarita. Wine Bar George on the balcony, and Jock Lindsey's on the porch. Nomad lounge multiple times. HBD, both restaurant and lounge. Spice road table. Eating around the festival booths with trash can tables. Corn dog nuggets at Casey's while snagging a table for fireworks. Make lots of memories!

Oh, and we STILL have to make the trip for margaritaville. Where she gets a turtle balloon bracelet.

Citricos (perhaps with a pre-dinner mocktail at Enchanted Rose), Flying Fish, Cake Bake Shop, Rosa Mexicans, Perhaps Boathouse at Disney Springs, Steakhouse 71 all come to mind.

My teen daughter and I always enjoy Teppan Edo and Space 220 in Epcot and surprisingly, she really loved the Sci-Fi Dine In at HS (lunch). We typically stay at Yacht/Beach Club and really like the option to dine and walk around Epcot in the evening.

If you're going to be at the Boardwalk, do Flying Fish for dinner and book dessert one night at Cake Bake Shop. As another poster mentioned, if you want to try Space 220, book the lunch. Although it is a little pricey, the service was amazing, the apps and burgers were surprisingly good. Other places which we usually do are Homecomin, Boathouse and Narcoossees.

My DD19 and I have been doing mother/daughter trips since she was 12 and some of your faves are also our faves. Cali Grill during fireworks was definitely a highlight when she was 16!

She is now there doing the DCP and I am going to visit her for the third time the first weekend of December so we've had time to try extra places. And so has she while she's been there.

Some faves of ours are Jiko (probably our favorite restaurant at Disney. The wild boar app is probably the best dish I've ever had at Disney. The food is that good!), Boma for both breakfast and dinner, Summer House in DS (she loves it here and also goes with her friends), Narcoossee's, Toledo (went in October as a family and it was great!), Beaches and Cream and LeCellier.

Upcoming trip we are giving Teppan Edo a try and repeating Jiko and Boma breakfast.

We've never done Space 220 but we have done Sanaa. We liked it but find Jiko and Boma much better.

Cake Bake was cute but overly priced, even by Disney standards. DD liked it more for the aesthetic and pictures. She said she'd like to go back with her girlfriends and get dressed up for brunch.

If she likes steak, my 16-year-old still talks about how good her steak was at Le Cellier! Definitely doesn't have the cute themes as some of the others, but the food was delicious!

We didn't even do the restaurant. Just the bakery portion and I still thought it was ridiculous. I have no desire to eat at the actual restaurant. It was cute and we only got banana pudding and DD got something else, I forget. I've heard so many mixed reviews on the cake and at $22 a slice I'd rather not chance it, considering I'm not a huge cake fan as it is.

I did see a group or two that were doing bridal showers and it seems to fit the theming and they looked like they had a great time.
