I forgot the answer to the following questions. Please Help!!

1. How far in advance can I call to make ressies for California Grill, Rose and Crown, and The Flying Fish?

2. What is a good time to make ressies if I want to watch the fireworks over MK while eating? I know I may have to wait to get the right seats.

3. If I want to watch Illuminations while eating at the R&C, what time should I make ressies here? It starts at 9pm every night, right?

Thanks for any help you can offer,

MDF

You know there are no guarantees for for outdoors seating at R&C? However, try making reservations for 7:40 or 7:50. That has worked for us several times.:D

At CG, I had a PS for 8:55 and the fireworks were set to start at 9:30. We didn't ask for a window seat and were seated in 5 minutes. I didn't notice any of the window tables leaving until after the fireworks ended. I thought we had an good view of the fireworks... the windows are huge and we were facing the right direction, there were other tables in front of us but were still able to see everything.

At R&C ... I had a PS for 7:40 and we weren't seated until almost 8:20, even though we had shown up at 7:30. We asked for a patio seat but they weren't as good as the ones we had last year... this time part of the roof was blocking our view. Also, our table was right behind the door that the waiters/waitresses used to go in and out of the restaurants ... so it wasn't very comfortable. We just ate quickly and went to watch the fireworks somewhere else :p Just thought you might want to know that not every patio seat has a great view.

We make PS for CG 120 days in advance. For 9 pm firework, We ask for 7.30 pm PS.

Thanx April. :)

Every time I've been to WDW I've eaten at CG and gotten the window. I just could not remember what time to make the PS. If I remember, I usually get the PS for about 2 hours prior. Then when I ask for the window, it usually takes them 30 minutes to seat us so we have a cocktail in the lounge area.

Same with R & C. I've only done it twice before, but both times I got one of the 2 person tables along the short wall just behind where they serve the beer on the street. This is the only spot I know of but I know there are more.

I'm thinking maybe I need PS for about 90 minutes prior at R & C.
