Dinner at Poly, then MVMCP - Where to park?

Hi! On the day we go to MVMCP, we plan to sleep late and rest up. Later that afternoon, we want to go play a few rounds of mini golf at Winter/Summerland to pus us in the propper Christmas mood.

We will be staying at the WL and will drive to W/Sland because there is no good way to get there and back on Disney transportation. We've tried. It takes FOREVER!!

My question is this - After the mini golf, we want to drive over to the Poly for our dinner reservation at Kona. Then we want to just hop on the monorail to the Christmas party. Will they let us leave our car parked at the Poly during the party? Or will we have to park at the TTC when we go to dinner and walk or take the monorail from the TTC to the Poly?

Any ideas or suggestions?

I don't know how strick they are. I know they do sometimes crack down give out 3 hour passes if you have a PS or want to check out the hotel.

That being said, I stayed at the Contemporary last December and we rented a car as well. Every night there was MVMCP going on, we could not find a parking space. We actually saw people park and start walking over to MVMCP with their Santa hats on. I didn't like this one bit and felt it wasn't fair to the people staying at the hotel. The last time I complained about this on the boards someone replied "that is what valet parking is for". Well, I don't like to valet park. It's pain when you want to get your car. It's a pain to have to tip all the time. I like knowing where my car is. I also don't want to pay the new $6. valet parking fee.

Granted, there probably isn't much WDW hotels can do about people parking at a MK hotel and walking or monorailing over but it's just not right, IMHO.

Please don't be angry with me for telling you my experience and opinion.

Why do'nt you park at the TTC, and either walk or take the monorail to the Poply then to the MK. AFter MVMCP you can simply take the monorail or ferry back to the TTC.

It's not fair for the Poly resort guests for you to leave your car parked there all night.

Hi Gem,
I would drive my car back to WL and then take the boat over to MK. It's a wonderful view. From MK you can take the resort monorail or the Poly boat, back and forth. I would take the boat over to the Poly and then the resort monorail from the Poly to MK and ask to sit up front with the Pilot. Then you can take the boat back to WL from MK. I might bring some sweatshirts along for the night time parades and boat rides, might even have some gloves in a locker (it gets a little chilly at night and on the lake).
