Dinner at Boardwalk

Ok I have ressies at Big River Grille for our last night but the rating and comments are not very appealing, everybody is downing the resturant due to food, cleaniness should I switch to Captains Grill instead I have never ate the before either please help.

Captains Grille is a good choice
Do you like lobster? If so, the lobster roll is SO good....We stop here for lunch on each trip.

As far as Big River Grill, I agree...Less than stellar. Just ok. I would not do dinner here...I have done lunch, and am not in any rush to go back....Hope this helps!

I didn't think Big River took ADR's? Good to know as we are staying at BWV on our next trip and we wanted to try it.

For every positive review you find, there is a negative opinion. For example people love LC, CP, Coral Reef, TE and 'Ohana, none of which I would ever go back to without major changes. You have to take everything you read here with a grain of salt. If your first hunch, before you start to read reviews, is to try a restaurant, then try it and form your own opinions.

I think Big River takes real reservations and you have to call them direct. They do take the dining plan, though. I've never tried it because of the LARGE number of negative reviews I've read (common theme: burgers and beer good, everything else bad).

It's two credits and/or much more expensive, but HIGHLY recommend Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. Fantastic place. Great seafood, and if you're not into that, their strip steak is one of the best steaks on property. Cooked perfectly.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food... it was a nice evening. I went with someone who is a picky eater and he was happy with the selection and the preparation....

I would not eat at Big River again. it is up there with ABC Commisary as a place I would never return to. We tried it one night at the insistence of my DH. We actually cancelled Wolfgang Puck for it. Such a mistake. Food was cold. Nothing tasted as good as it sounded on the menu. My DH still apologizes about it to this day.

We have only ever done breakfast at Captains Grille. It is a great place for breakfast. I would try it for lunch or dinner. On the boardwalk, Flying Fish is very good. Also, my family likes ESPN a lot.

Although I have never eaten at Big River, I have been to the Captains grill and enjoyed it very much. We ate there last year and went back for another meal as it was so good.

Kat Kora's is great. For a cheap meal go to the Bakery, best buy for the money.
