I'll be going soon and have lunch at Dining with an Imagineer. I have some plates from prior visits and a nametag, too), and enjoy them. Before my last visit, I had heard that the plates were discontinued but actually still got one.

What's the current story on this? I'm considering bringing one of my prior ones and adding a signature to it if they no longer give you one with the meal, but would of course prefer a fresh one be included.

We did it for the second time last year. I just don’t remember if it was our April or September trip. Anyway, no, we did not get the plate last time. We did get one when we did it about 3 years ago.

Bummer. But I really appreciate the reply. I think we must have been one of the very last groups to get it about two years ago. It was a nice keepsake, but not a deal breaker.

Thanks!

We did the lunch in Sept and didn't receive any plate either. It was still a very cool experience!

We got one in May 2017. That was the first time we did Dining with an Imagineer.

We did the Lunch at HS at the Brown Derby in September and did not get the plate either.

Was the plate customized to the event or was it a plate from the restaurant? I'm sure you could find a Disney themed plate and ask the Imagineer to sign it. I know it's not the same but you have something to remember the occasion.

ETA: Googled it, that is a really nice piece.

Yeah, it was a very classy touch and really plussed up the experience further. I think I'll bring one of my older ones and add a signature to it. But I'll also have to find a proper pen for that. Maybe I have a gold paint pen in my craft stash. Hmm...

But what I really miss is the castmember-style nametag they had the first time we went. That was so unique!

We did it in July 2017 at Brown Derby. Did not get a plate.

I'm still going to do the meal, but wish they still had the plate and nametag.

Now I wonder... have they even stopped the personalized menu? You'd think that would be kept since it's so inexpensive.

No plate in December......that's been discontinued (I do have about 15 of them)
No name tags in the last couple of years......I miss those.
The menus are easy to pack and a nice memento

Prices did go up also.
