Dining with another family not on DDP

My family and my sister's family are heading to WDW in December. My family will be on the DDP but my sister's family will not as we are not all staying together. If we want to have a couple of meals together, is it fine for 1/2 the party to use DDP credit and 1/2 to pay OOP? I would think that its not a big deal, but I've been proven wrong before! Thanks.

Not a problem. Just make sure that the server knows this when you order. We went with my sister and her family one year to WDW. We were on the dining plan and her family wasn't. Never had a problem at any restaurant.
