Dining with an Imagineer

Hello everyone!!! I know this question has been asked before and I've tried searching for it, and can't seem to find it. DH and I are thinking of doing the Dining with an Imagineer in November, but I was thinking that I read before that you don't make the ADR for this at the same time you make all your other ADRs. I thought I read that you have to make this one 30 or 60 days in advance. Is this right?? Or was I hallucinating??

It used to be that you made these ressies at 60 days out but now they are at 90 days out with the regular ressies. I had to call and make a ressie for this just the other day for our October trip because this is what I want to do for my birthday. You cannot make Dine with an Imagineer online so while I was waiting on the phone I made all my other ressies on the computer.

Don't mean to hijack your post but I have a question.
Has anyone done this? What is it like? Is it worth the cost? It sounds like alot of fun but is there anywhere I can learn more about it before we commit?

I have done this for my husband twice. He went to the Hollywood Brown Derby. It was about $65 ---they say it's for an hour or so, but it was over 2. He really enjoyed it... I didn't know they changed the amount of days for ressies. I would have liked to do it, but my kids are too young...it would have been hard for them to sit through it. If you haven't done it, try it.. I think it would be something fun and different.
The first time he went, it was the lady that was over the interior decorating for the suite in Cindy's castle!!!! Last year was a guy who is over something in the Disney Sound department. He said it was very informative!!!

We did it on July 1. We had Cathy Carver - the lead interior designer who designed the Castle suite. Lunch was over 2 1/2 hours - 4 courses. It was a lot of fun - definetly worth the $. Lunch for 2 with tip, tax & 1 drink was $164.63 You also get a couple of "goodies" to take home with you.

Thanks I may surprise my DH with this. It would thrill him beyond belief.....of course the imagineer may get tired 'cause the hubby can talk like no one I have ever seen! LOL
