Hi!
We have just booked our first Disney cruise...january 22, 2006. We have one slight problem. When we made the reservation, we had requested the early dining time. Since it was booked, we had to settle for 8:30 and have our names put on a waiting list.

In your experiences (and I know they are many), do waiting list requests usually get honored? We are traveling with another family and have 6 kids (under 8) to feed. They will NEVER be able to wait until 8:30!!

Thanks! erfaith

Many times you can get changed to Main Seating - but not always. Moving 10 people will be more of a challenge for the dinning room staff.

Sometimes it will happen before you leave for your cruise. If not, you will need to go to where they are doing dinning room changes first thing upon boarding to see if you can be changed.

Q: Does the other family have Main / Early seating?

If they do and you don't then your ressies are not linked together (and if you want to eat dinners together your ressies NEED to be linked)

We have the same problem for our August 06 cruise. We wanted an early seating, but are on wait list for it. There are only 4 of us, but I'm worried. My 2 little ones would be starving if they had to wait that long, and I have acid reflux and can't eat after 8pm. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

If you have a valid medical reason you can get a medical form from DCL and have your doctor fill it out saying that you need to eat before 8:00 pm. Fax it into DCL and that will greatly improve your chances and may even assure it.

We traveled once with my sister and her family they needed early because my neice is diabetic and needed to keep her eating on the same schedule as at home.....all that was available was late dining.....but she was granted early dining due to the medical condition.

That's good to know. I'm just barely starting to plan my cruise ( I just booked today!), so I didn't know about that form. I guess I better see if ds needs one (he's autistic). Thanks for letting me know. :cool1: :flower:
