Dining Rotation & Palo Dinner

For us, Pirate's night is the easiest to pass up when we sail just the two of us, the menu just doesn't appeal to me.
When we sail with the grandkids we do the pirate night because they enjoy getting dressed up, hopefully that will return for them in 2022.

I guess the trouble is figuring out which night is pirate night. For a lot of cruises, Disney hasn't been making that information available early enough to get Palo reservations.

I was able to call and find out about a week before we sail, they gave the information finally.
There were plenty of times still available for Palo dinner.

We didn’t mind too much about missing the food per se on any given night but didn’t want to miss any of the “experience”, especially with young kids. We booked Palo for a later time slot and went to the main dining with our kids and their grandparents (who would be watching them), just had a light appetizer, declined an entree, and left for dinner at Palo after that dinner was winding down. For us, the experience did include some of the last-4-day themes like Princess Night, because of the age of our daughters.

Our rotation will be R - A - E - R - A - E - R.

So we moved Palo to the second Royal Court evening (hoping our first RC evening will be their signature menu, so we don't miss it on night 4).

That's what I assumed as well...though they could not confirm when I asked. They were also sure to say they weren't sure if we were going to have a "Pirate Takeover" (correcting me, who was using "Pirate Night" -- they said it's a modified version of what was formerly Pirate Night).

Yeah, it's pirate night without the deck party and fun. But they invade dinner for a few minutes, which I guess was kind of neat if you could actually see the show. We couldn't see it from our table.
